The Chicago Tribune has announced that starting in January, the Chicago-based paper and several other Tribune-owned papers will be dropping the Associated Press as its chief wire service. Along with the Chicago paper, six other Tribune-owned papers will also be dropping the AP. Those papers are the Baltimore Sun; the Orlando Sentinel; the South Florida Sun-Sentinel; the Hartford Courant; the Morning Call of Allentown, Pennsylvania; and the Daily Press of Newport News, Virginia. Reports from Tribune insiders were confirmed Sunday by Paul Colford, director of media relations for AP.

These rags are probably upset that AP actually ran a conservative columnist or a story favorable to anyone other than their lord and savior, barack hussein obama, hmmm, hmmm, hmmm.

They can get all the leftist slant they need from in house or maybe sign up for Al Jazerra.

Unfortunately, most small town newspapers use the Associated Press as their main source of news reports. When I recently cancelled my local rag, the lady asked me why I was doing so. When I explained I was tired of so much leftist slanting of what´s going on in the world, she replied that she got quite as many complaints that the paper was too conservative. I was too polite to tell her I thought she was lying, but, on reflection, given the voting results of November 6, maybe she was being honest.

I stopped watching network news in 1992 after they elected Bill Clinton.I dropped my local newspaper after the 2008 election for the same reasons stated above. They could not have cared less. They were recently sold off.

I think the news media may be committing suicide faster than the rest of the country.

Does columnist John Kass, the only column worth reading in the Trib, get the extra money the Trib charges with "Digital Plus" just to read his columns? I guess it is a "pay-to-play" Chicago solution to a problem. Newspapers and the AP with their regurgitations of liberal agenda crap for Obama worshipers have done themselves in by not reporting actual news and shining a light in the dark places of the political world? Who cares if Obama is playing golf? That is not news!

Hard to believe the Chicago Trib wouldn´t be willing to pay the extra $5 million for the AP´s virulently leftist output. But then, Reuters is nearly as hardcore Stalinist in its viewpoint, so I suppose the Trib sees it as no great loss.

I put my last copy of the Dallas Morning Lies Distortions and Half-Truths in the dust bin in 1993. Many have followed suit. Today, the only people buying that rag are people who want to have something to put in their recycle bin.

The pendulum swings.

This Babylon among the MSM may be the actual plan:

1. MSM reduced to irrelevence [by their own perfidy];

2. A vacuum occurs in national, credible news information;

3. The ZeroNews Foundation steps up to become the defacto information source, and eventually, the only one.

The First Ammendment is thus gently dispatched.

You have to acknowledge the problem the Ass. Press finds itself with. The left side of the "Journalism" ship, AKA Titanic is crowded far beyond capacity causing the ship to circle left continuously, hitting one iceberg after another. With everyone singing the same song and peddling the same distortions and lies it is difficult to stand out from the herd.

When Ass. Press disappears no one will even miss them. One less voice in the choir.

Of course, the same could be said of Reuters, or NBC "News", or ABC, CBS, CNN, PMSNBC, NPR, PBS, the New York Slimes, the WhiteWash Post, etc., etc., etc.

With Hillary Clinton already locking up massive amounts of cash for a presumptive 2016 presidential run, members of the hard left may be looking for an alternative. Many Democrats remain uninspired by Clinton’s progressive record – her most leftist period came during her early days as First Lady, and resulted in part in a 1994 Republican Congressional landslide – and have urged other candidates to jump into the race to provide a boost for a further-left agenda. Polls show Clinton defeating all comers in potential primary matchups. But polls also show that her appeal stems largely from her status as

Rejecting the rigidly hierarchical and stratified societies of the ancient world, Jesus Christ taught the equal dignity of all persons, proclaimed that the meek shall inherit the earth, and declared that the last shall be first and the first shall be last. The Western world has been working out the logic of these subversive teachings ever since, with the institutional transformation of marriage being the latest, though surely not the last, example of its social, moral,

Renee Ellmers (R-NC) berated a group of local activists who oppose amnesty legislation, suggesting they were racist and saying they didn´t have “any damn facts.” “You´re telling me what people have told you?
