Cairo - One of Egypt´s leading opposition figures pledges continued resistance to his country´s constitution even if it is declared to have passed, contending that the process was fundamentally illegitimate. Unofficial tallies say nearly two-thirds voted in favor of the Muslim-friendly constitution, but turnout was low. Hamdeen Sabahi, who placed third in the nation´s first free presidential race over the summer, said in an interview with The Associated Press that the majority of Egypt´s people are not Islamists. He argued that successive electoral triumphs by President Mohammed Morsi´s Muslim Brotherhood

Comments:
There is no doubt in my mind that Morsi´s Muslim Brotherhood party rushed [in two weeks] through a new "constitution" that only gives them unlimited power. I only hope that we don´t give them any "humanitarian aid" [billons of dollars] that other terrorist organizations [PLO] showed can "disappear" or be used to strengthen them militarily.

Along the way,By Definition: A "Constitution" requires a 3/4 vote by 13 separate geographically distinct self governing Jurisdictions. Anything else is not a "Constitution".

One of the funniest parts of our election was UN observers not believing how easy it was to vote without an ID. That alone tells me how corrupt our outcome was.Thugatarians around the world are stealing elections, then claiming mandates.

You don’t need a crystal ball to see how this was going to end. On Thursday, The View co-host Jenny McCarthy asked her 1.13 million Twitter followers a question: “What is the most important personality trait you look for in a mate? Reply using #JennyAsks.” Twitter had one overwhelming response in mind: Someone who isn’t anti-vaccination like you, Jenny. McCarthy, whose son was diagnosed with autism in 2005, is famous for arguing that vaccines are linked to autism in children. Though she has clarified that she “and the autism community” are not anti-vaccine per se, they are “anti-toxin and anti-schedule.”

A woman in India has given birth to conjoined twin girls – who appear to have two heads and one shared body, the Independent reported. The infants were born via cesarean section at Cygnus J.K. Hindu Hospital in Sonipat, Haryana. They suffer from dicephalic parapagus, meaning they have separate spinal cords, necks and heads, but they share all major limbs and vital organs. Conjoined twins with this condition typically cannot be separated. According to the Independent, the babies’ parents could not afford an ultrasound, which would have picked up on their condition in utero. “The parents are very distressed,

A delegation of U.S. senators looked to up pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin Saturday, as tensions around Ukraine heightened. A bipartisan group of eight senators traveling through Ukraine blasted the Russian leader, and called Sunday’s election on whether Crimea should join Russia rigged and illegitimate. Some of the senators called for the U.S. to provide military equipment to Ukrainian troops, and the group vowed crippling economic sanctions against Russia until the nation pulled back. “This is the person that stated that the greatest catastrophe of the 20th century was the breakup of the Soviet Union,” said

Washington - Democrats are becoming increasingly alarmed about their midterm election fortunes amid President Obama’s sinking approval ratings, a loss in a special House election in Florida last week and millions of dollars spent by Republican-aligned groups attacking the new health law. The combination has led to uncharacteristic criticism of Mr. Obama and bitter complaints that his vaunted political organization has done little to help the party’s vulnerable congressional candidates. The latest in a cascade of bad news came Friday when Scott Brown, a former senator from Massachusetts now living in New Hampshire,

Sepang, Malaysia - The search for Flight 370 turned into a criminal investigation on Saturday, after Malaysia declared that the plane had been deliberately diverted and then flown for as long as seven hours toward an unknown point far from its scheduled route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. (Snip) The Malaysian authorities released a map showing that the last satellite signal received from the plane had been sent from a point somewhere along one of two arcs spanning large distances across Asia. As part of the investigation, police officers on Saturday were seen going to the gated residential compound in

A Malaysian government official says investigators have concluded that one of the pilots or someone else with flying experience hijacked the missing Malaysia Airlines jet. (Snip) The official, who is involved in the investigation, says no motive has been established, and it is not yet clear where the plane was taken. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to brief the media. The official said that hijacking was no longer a theory. “It is conclusive.’’ The Boeing 777’s communication with the ground was severed under one hour into a flight March 8 from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. Classified intelligence analysis of electronic and satellite data has indicated that the missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight 370 likely crashed either in the Bay of Bengal or somewhere in the Indian Ocean, an exclusive report by the CNN said. (Snip) It had enough credibility for the United States to move its guided missile destroyer, the USS Kidd, into the Indian Ocean, and Indian officials to expand its search effort into the Bay of Bengal. An aviation industry source told CNN that the flight's automated communications system appeared to be intact for up to five hours, because "pings" from the system were received after the transponder last emitted

Kuala Lumpur - Military radar data suggests a Malaysia Airlines jetliner missing for nearly a week was deliberately flown hundreds of miles off course, heightening suspicions of foul play among investigators, sources told Reuters on Friday. (Snip) Two sources said an unidentified aircraft that investigators believe was Flight MH370 was following a route between navigational waypoints when it was last plotted on military radar off the country´s northwest coast. The New York Times is reporting that radar signals recorded by the Malaysian military appear to show the plane ascending to 45,000 feet and making a sharp turn to the right not long after it disappeared from civilian radar. The day before the Iowa caucuses in 2008, I wrote about the massive crowds of young people at Barack Obama rallies, noting that his candidacy would collapse “if they don’t show up.” The next night, after Obama’s victory celebration in Des Moines, Obama strategist Steve Hildebrand spotted me in a crowd. “The kids showed up!” he said fiercely. They did. But where are they now? An army of 15 million voters under 30 swept Obama past Hillary Clinton and John McCain and to the presidency in 2008. More than 12 million helped him return in 2012. But now his presidency is on the line — and the Obama youth are abandoning him in

Fertility is the missing chapter in sex education. Sobering facts about women’s declining fertility after their 20s are being withheld from ambitious young women, who are propelled along a career track devised for men. The refusal by public schools’ sex-education programs to acknowledge gender differences is betraying both boys and girls. The genders should be separated for sex counseling. It is absurd to avoid the harsh reality that boys have less to lose from casual serial sex than do girls, who risk pregnancy and whose future fertility can be compromised by disease. Boys need lessons in basic ethics and moral reasoning

US officials believe that two communications systems aboard Malaysian Airlines flight 370 were shut down separately, 14 minutes apart - which indicates the plane did not come down because of a sudden catastrophic failure. The data reporting system was shut down at 1.07 am and the transponder was turned off at 1.21 am just after the the pilot signed off to Malaysian air traffic controllers with ´All right, good night,´ and before the Boeing 777 apparently changed course and turned west. According to investigators this indicated that the switch-off could have been a deliberate act and officials told ABC News that the

House Democrats again targeted the controversial Issa on Thursday, with a bid to force the California Republican to publicly apologize for what they dub his “repeated history of abuse” toward the minority party. Democratic Rep. Dan Kildee (Mich.)’s resolution condemns Issa for repeated clashes with Democrats – exchanges Kildee said don’t live up to the responsibility of a committee chairman.
