Gregory on MTP: Likely Broke
DC Law, Hypocritically Mocked
NRA´s Armed Guards Proposal

Newsbusters, by Tom Blumer

Original Article

Two blog posts today should shred the credibility of Meet the Press´s David Gregory in making arguments for gun control and against appropriate armed staff or security personnel at schools -- or they would, if journalists had the least bit of interest in exposing lawbreaking and hyprocritical behavior by their professional colleagues. During the show, as reported at the Patriot Perspective, relaying a point first brought out by a member of the AR15.com forum site, Gregory "decided to wave around a 30-round AR-15 magazine" in direct violation of the District of Columbia "DC High Capacity Ammunition Magazines"

No matter what the NRA says they will be mocked.

Not not give the job to returning vets instead of a rent a cop ?

Schools in this state have community service police officers in them already and nobody cares.

At the insistence of this Administration, the MSM is participating in Alinskyism by choosing targets and marginalizing them.

How many targets does the Left now attack, all at the same time? Let´s see. Here´s a short list of targets:

Christianity,
religious liberty in general except for Islam,
private property,
lawful gun owners and the NRA,
small businesses,
the oil industry,
the wealthy (anyone not on welfare),
insurance companies,
banks,
doctors and hospitals,
inventors,
innovators,
medical equipment manufacturers and developers,
non-union employees,
school choice proponents,
pro-lifers,
the Tea Party,
the Republican Party,
the Courts,
white people,
the Constitution,
the auto industry (except for "green" cars)
the coal industry,
taxpayers,
the fast food industry,
Rush Limbaugh and conservative talk radio,
Fox News,
the Internet,
America´s currency,
WalMart,
Israel,
Chick-Fil-A....

Have I missed anyone?

I resent being instructed and lectured about gun rights and gun laws by snotty television personalities who employ large guards armed with very large weapons; and who send their children to schools with a security department that employs eleven more large men armed with large weapons.

Until you live the life or ordinary people, David, keep your big mouth shut about what gun laws we need and which gun laws we enforce.

Oh well gee. Here is my shocked face: 8^|

Why is anyone surprised by this?

I´d be more interested in how Wayne LaPierre reacted. I don´t watch NBC anything any more, and I just don´t have the true desire to go looking for this answer myself.

I hope he at least made it clear that the AR in the AR-15´s stands for Armalite, the company that makes these rifles, and NOT ´assault rifle´ or ´automatic rifle´. Can he do even that?

And did he convey that these rifles (which is all they are ... no different in function and operation than any other rifle - they just LOOK different) - that these rifles do NOT rapid-fire with each trigger pull? One pull, one shot. They are not machine guns.

Did he do even that much?

Gregory, a member of the DC elite, sends his children to ultra exclusive Sidwell Friends. Chelsea Clinton and the Obama girls attend. Gregory´s children are safe there, as the school has a security force of 11. David Gregory and Obama aren´t stuck in failing DC metro schools like poor black children of the DC inner city. Another member of the cocktail party circuit who doesn´t want the rest of us to have what he has.

It´s not new that reporters and celebrities go before cameras to proclaim the evil of gun ownership, while they personally hire armed personnel for themselves and their family members. Who can forget loudmouth Rosie O´Donnell as she demeaned all gun owners in 1999 .... until she was silenced while having to admit that she employed personal armed guards for her children!
.... I also recall when Charlton Heston, then the president of NRA, told the story of a Hollywood anti-NRA friend who asked Heston for a gun.

These people view themselves as above the law, but then .... so does the man chose as president.

Those infected are responsible for reelecting the worst, most anti-American President in history. It reminds me of how fascism and communism spread in the last century. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. The Obama administration said Friday that it would block Iran’s nominee as ambassador to the United Nations from entering the United States, setting up a new confrontation with Tehran just as relations with the Islamic republic appeared to be improving. The decision to bar entry to the diplomat, who was allegedly involved in the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, followed intense political pressure on the administration from Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill. But it also marked a rare instance in which Washington has effectively vetoed another country’s preferred choice as envoy to the United Nations. Iran

Struggling homeowners across the country could face significant new tax bills if they receive mortgage relief from their banks, a prospect that threatens to slow the housing recovery and put further strain on distressed borrowers. The collapse of the housing market and plunging home prices left millions of people stuck owing more on their mortgages than their homes were worth. Some have worked with their banks to reduce the loan amount to avoid foreclosure or enable a sale. In 2007, Congress adopted a law that spared those homeowners from being taxed on the amount of the loan that was forgiven. But

On Thursday, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius resigned her position. The New York Times reported the resignation as a punishment for failure: Officials said Ms. Sebelius, 65, made the decision to resign and was not forced out. But the frustration at the White House over her performance had become increasingly clear, as administration aides worried that the crippling problems at HealthCare.gov, the website set up to enroll Americans in insurance exchanges, would result in lasting damage to the president’s legacy. So Sebelius stuck around just long enough to reach the mythical 7 million enrollment number

The House Oversight Committee has voted to hold former IRS subpotentate Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress, while the House Ways and Means Committee has referred her case to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution. The facts in the case suggest very strongly that Ms. Lerner has earned the contempt of the American people as well as criminal prosecution to the full extent of the law. The question of whether Justice will do justice now rests with the Obama administration, in service to which Ms. Lerner organized and oversaw the repression of nonprofit activists under color of IRS authority. Solar power has won the global argument. Photovoltaic energy is already so cheap that it competes with oil, diesel and liquefied natural gas in much of Asia without subsidies. Roughly 29pc of electricity capacity added in America last year came from solar, rising to 100pc even in Massachusetts and Vermont.[Snip] The technology is improving so fast--helped by the US military--that it has achieved a virtous circle. Michael Parker and Flora Chang, at Sanford Bernstein, say we entering a new order of "global energy deflation" that must ineluctably erode the viability of oil, gas and the fossil fuel nexus over time.

Nearly a year into the IRS scandal, we still don´t know exactly what happened—though we are finally getting an inkling. That´s thanks to the letter House Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp sent this week to the Justice Department recommending a criminal probe of Lois Lerner. The average citizen might be dizzied by the torrent of confusing terms—BOLO lists, Tigta, 501(c)(4)—and the array of accusations that have made up this IRS investigation. Mr. Camp´s letter takes a step back to remind us why this matters, even as it provides compelling new information that goes to motive and method—and clarifies some of

STAMFORD, Conn. — Jeb Bush defended his controversial comments about immigration reform, insisting they were nothing new for him and urging “sensitivity to the immigrant experience.” At a Connecticut Republican party dinner Thursday night, the former Republican governor of Florida did not repeat his remarks from last weekend at his father’s presidential library, when he said that people who come to the United States illegally in search of a better life for their children “broke the law, but it’s not a felony. It’s an act of love.” This time the potential 2016 candidate put it differently. “To be young and

The deportation of foreigners living illegally in the United States is similar to the forced internment of ethnic-Japanese Americans in World War II, according to Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. “I’ll be very honest with you: Looking at the numbers at some point, in terms of how people are treated and deported and families separated and the rest, this has a scent of Japanese internment,” Pelosi told a Politico reporter. “It’s really a black mark,” said Pelosi. Roughly 110,000 ethnic-Japanese immigrants and their American children were detained during World War II after Japan’s sneak attack on Americans in Pearl Harbor. Pelosi also urged Obama

Under the administration of President Obama, as never before in my lifetime, there is reason to be a bit afraid of the federal government. I have written two books documenting Obama´s abuses of power, his assaults on the Constitution, his wars against business and energy, his abominably reckless spending, his divisiveness, his renegade Justice Department, his regulatory expansion, his executive orders, his overall lawlessness, and more. Obama´s conduct concerning Obamacare alone would be enough to get the impeachment wheels rolling for any other president. His flagrant, deliberate lies regarding almost every aspect of that
