| Her silence is deafening.Twenty-five years after the spotlight first glared on Tawana Brawley — a black woman who as a teen claimed she was raped by a gang of white men, smeared with feces and stuffed in a garbage bag — she’s desperately struggling to stay hidden from public view. “I don’t want to talk to anyone about that,” Brawley, 40, said recently after The Post found her in Hopewell, Va., where she lives in a neatly kept brick apartment complex with signs warning of video surveillance cameras.

Skank is too good a word for this lying cow. I lived in Hyde Park and was called for jury duty and was in the court house when the skank and sharpton waltzed by us to leave the court house. No one believed her that had a brain. Her neighbors were laughing their heads off as she was a big liar and was sneaking out to meet whoever. They left Poughkeepsie and would have been run out on a rail if we had had our way. Sharpton is a fat short media hunter and a liar to boot. They would not dare come back to that area.

An apology from this woman and an explanation as to why she did what she did would go a long way towards helping me forgive her. OTOH, apologies from Sharpton or from his two attorney colleagues would never suffice; they were and remain malicious race-baiters, blights not only on their race, but on humanity.

Anybody who is up, out the door and headed to work at 6:30 AM deserves credit. She took the time and effort to earn her specialized training as an LPN. That license does not come out of a crackerjack box. She is credited by co workers with being a good worker.
While the Rev. Al and the MSM are still making headlines with preposterous narratives about "racist" events that never happened, it appears she has been busy in the real world, working and contributing something of value to society.

They should leave her alone. What she did was despicable, but the involvement of Sharpton and the other guy (whose name escapes me, unfortunately) is what really caused all this. She was very young and I think she was tricked. If her upbringing had been better, maybe she would not have been so easily led to the lie.
She works a living, hopefully pays her taxes, I say give her some peace. It´s Sharpton who continues to play this card and who should be in prison.

The word rape is from a quote of a statement by a 15 year old child. And it was shown beyond a reasonable doubt that there was no rape. So the headline should have quotes to read "rape".
But what do I know? I didn´t go to journalism school so I still believe that headlines should tell the truth instead of a spreading a sensational lie.

NEW YORK Until now, much of the debate swirling around Obamacare has focused on the cost of premiums in the state-based health insurance exchanges. But what will enrollees actually get for that monthly charge? States are starting to roll out details about the exchanges, providing a look at just how affordable coverage under the Affordable Care Act will be. Some potential participants may be surprised at the figures: $2,000 deductibles, $45 primary care visit co-pays, and $250 emergency room tabs.

The protestors in Taksim Gezi Park have made an important discovery: the easiest way to get people to understand and care about your cause is to latch on to some pop culture signifiers. Now in the third week of demonstrations over a number of grievances against the Turkish government, including its violent response to initial park sit-in, the Occupy Gezi movement appropriated from Les Miserables the French rebel song “Do You Hear the People Sing?” in a carefully organized choral number that has begun to spread on YouTube.

The former host of “Erotica Night” at a Baltimore bookstore will be the first-ever female number two official at the CIA. On Wednesday, Barack Obama nominated Avril Danica Haines to be the Deputy Director of the CIA, replacing Michael Morell, who twice served as Acting Director of the agency but took much of the blame for editing the highly controversial talking points around the 2012 attack on the consulate in Benghazi. As a lawyer in the White House Counsel’s office, Haynes oversaw the approval process for the CIA´s covert actions, acting as a vital link between the CIA and the president.

Would you let the government install a camera in your home? The question was posed to me by Mike Cregan, a reader from Santa Barbara, Calif., who owns a foreign trade business. He writes: "When people say, `Well, they don´t get into the calls, etc. unless they have a court order,´ they miss the larger point." Cregan then offers an analogy that cuts through public ambivalence about the National Security Agency´s massive spying dragnet. "It is like the government saying, `We are going to put a camera in everyone´s home.

Speaking at a closed press event for the McCain Institute for International Leadership in Manhattan Tuesday night, former President Bill Clinton warned President Obama that he could risk looking like a “total fool” and a “wuss” if he remained too cautious in his approach toward Syria. Americans “hire you to win,” he explained. POLITICO first reported the remarks — which came during a question-and-answer session — and The Daily Beast also obtained audio. Referencing his own decisions in Kosovo and Bosnia, Clinton warned Obama could look like a “total fool” if he listened too much to opinion polls and didn’t act.

As soon as the Constitution permitted him to run for Congress, Al Salvi did. In 1986, just 26 and fresh from the University of Illinois law school, he sank $1,000 of his own money, which was most of his money, into his campaign to unseat an incumbent Democratic congressman. Salvi studied for the bar exam during meals at campaign dinners. He lost his campaign. Today, however, he should be invited to Congress to testify about what happened 10 years later, when he was a prosperous lawyer and won the Republican Senate nomination to run against a Democratic congressman named Dick Durbin.

Population estimates for 2012 released Thursday show what’s known as a natural decrease — a straightforward calculation of births minus deaths — of about 12,400 people among the nation’s 198 million non-Hispanic whites. lthough the percentage is small, several demographers said they are not aware of another time in U.S. history —

When faced with a court order, the tech giant said, it uses surprisingly simple and low-tech methods, including the delivery of information by hand or by using relatively common techniques to transfer files from one computer to another.

Some subscribers use Facebook as a way to share feelings, emotions, personal events, and family communication. Others, like me, use it as a networking resource, a way to communicate opinion on current events, to post articles and news stories that are not being covered by mainstream media. Facebook accommodates both approaches and until recently, I´ve been able to navigate through the network without much fuss. Unfortunately, there has been much more acrimony towards any criticism of the administration from conservatives and a West Coast relative felt it necessary to unfriend me because Facebook is "supposed to be for fun." Edward Snowden’s expansive disclosures to the Guardian and the Washington Post about various National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance programs have only two corollaries in contemporary history—the classified cache Bradley Manning allegedly released to WikiLeaks a few years ago and Daniel Ellsberg’s dissemination of the voluminous Pentagon Papers to the New York Times and other newspapers in 1971. Leakers like Snowden, Manning and Ellsberg don’t merely risk being called narcissists, traitors or mental cases for having liberated state secrets for public scrutiny.

Meanwhile, another Gallup poll shows President Obama with only a 47% approval rating, with 44% disapproving. If you think about it, this makes perfect sense. After all, Obama fooled everyone when he ran as the anti-Bush in 2008. Everyone thought Obama meant he would be less hawkish than his predecessor. At a Thursday press conference, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi condemned a bill that would prohibit abortions during the final four months of pregnancy with exceptions for when the life or physical health of the mother was at stake. Asked what the moral difference is between what Dr. Kermit Gosnell did to babies born alive and aborting those same infants moments before birth, Pelosi refused to answer. "As a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this," Pelosi said. "This shouldn´t have anything to do with politics."

Rep. Trent Franks (R-Ariz.) said Wednesday that the incidence of pregnancy caused by rape is "very low," prompting criticism from Democrats who said the GOP is waging a "war on women." Franks made the comment during a committee mark-up of his late-term abortion ban bill, which is expected pass the House next week. The Republican lawmaker was arguing against a Democratic amendment allowing rape and incest victims to procure abortions. As written, the bill only exempts women whose lives are in danger. "You know, the incidence of rape resulting in pregnancy are very low," Franks said.
