| Morristown — The Morris County Prosecutor´s Office has filed more charges against a former Boy Scout leader, accusing him now of sexually abusing members of his troop more than a decade ago. Stephen Corcoran, 45, of Morris Plains is accused of sexually assaulting two members of Parsippany-based Boy Scout Troop 173 between 1997 and 1999 on multiple occasions, Acting Morris County Prosecutor Fred Knapp said in a news release Friday. On Sept. 18, the prosecutor´s office began investigating allegations that Corcoran, who was an assistant Scout leader and an adviser to the Eagle Scouts between

Oh wait. Like the previous poster said, somehow this will be blamed on the Catholic Church or the boys.
On tax day, I send contributions to the Boy Scouts and to the NRA, putting my money where it will do good.

Still far more likely to be sexually assaulted by a public school employee than either a scout leader or a member of the clergy.
Funny how the media never covers that.

I don´t want sexually active single scout leaders in charge of young kids. That goes for not having young hetero males leading girl scout troops or lesbians running the troop.
There are lots of things to volunteer for. Coaching has become a similar area and many coaches are extremely careful to never be alone with players, especially ones of the opposite sex or similar persuasion.
Predatory behavior is real and inexcusable.

Could there be a link between homosexuality and homosexual pedophilia?
I almost forgot. Homosexuality is normal and natural (Yea, right), but pedophilia is an aberration.
So how then can homosexual-pedophilia be explained?

Many pedophiles have heterosexual adult relationships and yet abuse children of either sex. I agree with #5 and parents need to keep an eye on their children´s relationships with adult coaches, etc.

Same sex pedophilia and pederasty are NOT the same thing as homosexuality and there is no proven correlation between being homosexual and having an attraction to children. Because there are men who molest little girls, does that mean all heterosexual men are pedophiles too??? Of course not. It just proves that making sweeping judgments usually leads to wrong conclusions.

I can´t help but think gay activists will use this news to attach the BSA because of their policy against admitting homosexuals. So don´t be surprised if this gets a lot of media coverage. Too bad someone doesn´t do some tough investigative reporting of pedophilia among politicians of the progressive persuasion. That´s likely where the real scandal lies.

The boys involved were 16 and older - post-pubescent - it´s not pedophilia. Like those priests, this guy may be a predatory homosexual who likes them young...and they may like them older, too. I understand 16 year olds are capable of consensual sex under New Jersey law, outside of the statutory rape law. And who´s to say this is anything but a shot at BSA and its pocketbook by active "gay pride" homosexuals? This bears watching...like those pesky nooses and "carvings" inflicted by racists everywhere.

People looking for deep pockets to sue. The bottom feeding attorneys are frothing at the mouth to start suing the boy scouts. The liberals hate the boy scouts because they believe in God and do not believe in homosexuality in their ranks.

I am not sure what pretzel logic #12 is trying to apply here, but it sounds like the assertion is that homosexuals attacking same sex kids is not homosexual behavior. All I can say is - Wow!
Try this fact on for size - homosexuals constitute about 1.5% of the population but commit about 20-40% of child molestations, making them 20 times as likely, proportionally, to molest children as heterosexuals.

The presentation also warned that members of the military are prohibited from taking leadership roles in any organization the Pentagon considers ´extremist,´ and from distributing the organization´s literature, whether on or off a military installation. The opening slide warns that ´the rise in hate crimes and extremism outside the military may be an indication of internal issues all [armed] services will have to face.´

Kathleen Sausa, 42, told borough officials in early 2011 that she was pregnant with twins, according to the lawsuit she filed Monday in Superior Court. Sausa accuses officials of targeting her after she announced her pregnancy. She claims they refused to grant her family leave or other accomodations during her pregnancy – and also singled her out for a physical “fit for duty” examination, resulting in a suspension, according to the report on the lawsuit.
