| In the December 19th edition of TIME Magazine, Andrew Breitbart was honored in the publication´s "Tribute to Those We Lost" for 2012. Andrew was a warrior, a new media pioneer, and a loving husband and father. He is terribly missed by all those here at Breitbart News. The full text of TIME´s tribute can be read below: Maybe the most telling thing about the news that conservative blog impresario Andrew Breitbart had died was that many people didn’t believe it, even though it was reported on his website.

"Time" is a magazine? I always thought it was a measure of the duration of an event such as the collapse of the United States.

If they truly wanted to honor Andrew, they would have made him their Man of the Year. He did more good for this country than Obama will do in his entire misspent life. That is kind of sad for Obama actually.

PHILADELPHIA — Through four weeks, prosecutors have laid out evidence against Dr. Kermit Gosnell, a Philadelphia abortion provider on trial on charges of killing seven viable fetuses by “snipping” their necks with scissors and of causing the death of a pregnant 41-year-old woman during a procedure. The grisly details drew mainly local attention. But after an online furor that the case was being ignored by the national news media because of troubling accounts of late-term abortions, reporters from major newspapers and television networks descended Monday on the Court of Common Pleas.

Former Obama advisers are now cashing in left and right, through a variety of corporate and advisory roles in the private sector, the New Republic’s Noam Scheiber reports. From the first lady’s former communications director now the vice president of Siemens corporate affairs, to individual consulting deals for Obama campaign operatives like Stephanie Cutter and David Plouffe, there is a new generation of “Obama millionaires.” For instance, Scheiber notes, former UBS president Robert Wolf has opened shop with a new firm called 32 Advisors, which advises domestic and foreign business clients:

WASHINGTON -A key senator says the unveiling of a sweeping immigration bill set for Tuesday could be delayed because of the tragedy at the Boston marathon. Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona says the roll-out could happen Wednesday instead. The bill would secure the border, remake legal immigration, boost workplace enforcement and put 11 million people here illegally on a path to citizenship. Immigration activists and business and religious leaders had been invited to an event Tuesday to release the bill. It would be the culmination of months of closed-door meetings among four Democrats and

HARRISBURG - The name Department of Public Welfare was no doubt seen as an improvement when the state came up with it nearly a century ago, merging two older offices - the Board of Charities and the Committee on Lunacy. But now, 90 years later, Pennsylvania is one of just two states in the nation that still use the word welfare in the name of the massive agency that serves mainly the elderly, disabled, and children. Legislators, former state officials, and advocates for the more than two million residents who rely on the agency´s vast array of services say

This day in 1959, four months after leading a successful revolution in Cuba, Fidel Castro began an 11-day visit to the United States. His visit came at a time when tensions between his regime and the American government were rising steadily. Castro neither requested nor accepted an official government invitation for his trip to Washington and New York. Rather, he came at the invitation of what was then called the American Society of Newspaper Editors. During his stay, Castro placed a wreath on George Washington’s grave, toured the Bronx Zoo, ate hot dogs and hamburgers at Yankee Stadium and

Insurgents in Iraq deployed a series of car bombs as part of highly co-ordinated attacks that cut across a wide swath of the country today, killing at least 55 on the deadliest day in nearly a month. The assault bore the hallmarks of a resurgent al-Qaeda in Iraq and appeared aimed at sowing fear days before the first elections since U.S. troops withdrew. There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but coordinated attacks are a favourite tactic of al-Qaeda´s Iraq branch. Iraqi officials believe the insurgent group is growing stronger and increasingly co-ordinating with allies

Philadelphia Chief Medical Examiner Sam Gulino called the task "unprecedented." The job? Examining bag after bag of frozen fetuses removed from Kermit Gosnell´s West Philadelphia abortion clinic. "This was something that in 15 to 16 years . . . I had never been asked to do," Gulino told a Philadelphia jury today as Gosnell´s murder trial entered its fifth week. "There was no guidance on how to proceed," Gulino testified. And he asked. Gulino said fellow coroners and medical examiners and experts in forensic were as stumped as he.

CBS finally ended their on-air coverage blackout of the Kermit Gosnell´s murder trial on Monday´s CBS This Morning, airing two segments on the story a month after opening arguments began. Jan Crawford acknowledged that the Gosnell case "has received little national news coverage". Meanwhile, ABC and NBC´s morning and evening newscasts continued to ignore the ongoing legal proceedings against the abortionist. Crawford pointed out how conservatives "accused the media of ignoring the story because what it called a bias in favor of abortion rights", and how those "charges went viral on Twitter". In light of the explosions that have rocked Boston on Patriots’ Day, during the city’s annual marathon, NBC reporter Luke Russert took to Twitter to speculate that today’s horrific events could possibly be related to the 1993 government siege on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas — an incident often attached to conversations about “right-wing terrorism” and anti-government violence. “I was at Fenway Park w my dad and @mikebarnicle during Waco which was on Patriots Day in 1993. Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

Friends and allies of Baroness Thatcher expressed ‘surprise and disappointment’ last night as it emerged President Obama is not planning to send any serving member of his administration to her funeral. Whitehall sources have revealed that the U.S. delegation at tomorrow’s service in St Paul’s Cathedral will be led by two Reagan era secretaries of state: James Baker and George Shultz. Though President Obama himself had not been expected to attend, there had been speculation that he would be represented either by Vice President Joe Biden or wife Michelle. The impending introduction of legislation to overhaul the country’s badly strained immigration system received an extraordinary endorsement on Sunday from Senator Marco Rubio, Republican of Florida, who, after holding back for weeks, appeared on no fewer than seven television talk shows to explain and defend a plan that he said would be “a net positive for the country, now and in the future.” It was a striking show of confidence from Mr. Rubio, one of eight members of a bipartisan Senate group that has been crafting a plan to provide a path to legal status for undocumented immigrants;

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.

President Obama and I were college classmate at Columbia University, class of ’83. I know all too well how mindlessly liberal the students and faculty of that institution can be, and Barack Obama is certainly no exception. My time at Columbia made it crystal clear: liberals always believe they are morally superior. [Snip] It is in this cesspool of intolerance that Obama and his Marxist cronies hatched a secret plan to destroy our country. There are two things you need to know about Obama at Columbia University. First, he was Pre Law and a Political Science major- just like me.
