RUSH: You gotta hear this. Richard Stengel. You thought it was gonna be your story on the castration guy, right? That´s coming up. You gotta hear this. Richard Stengel, the TIME Magazine guy, the editor. You know, yesterday he was on Today show, announced Obama as the Person of the Year. He said the reason why they named Obama Person of the of Year is because the no-information voters love the guy. They´re transforming America. They actually said this. TIME magazine said it´s remarkable he´s worth being Person of the Year,

I could have gone all day without being reminded of Obama -- and Biden´s -- debate performances.

Meanwhile, here in St. Louis we are treated to clear-channel blowtorch KMOX radio touting regular appearances by one-time local gal Candy Crowley, who has all the inside poop from DC for us fly over dunces.

Yeah, I need to be reminded of the debates.

He already knew at that time that the election was his. It was hard for him to ah... perform without some pressure, which he probably got from jarrett for the #2 debate.

I don´t understand why Rush doesn´t attribute more moment to fraud. He is basing his whole schtick on perhaps, a red herring data set, so to speak. There was massive fraud and that has to be factored in, in any discussion of the election of 2012.

NEW YORK -- Fast-food protests are planned for several U.S. cities Tuesday as labor organizers look to bring attention to practices they say illegally deprive workers of their wages. The protests are planned for about 30 cities, but it´s not clear what the scope of the turnout will be. It´s part of an ongoing campaign by labor groups to build support for pay of $15 an hour and bring attention to the rights of low-wage workers. Organizers have also been referring workers to attorneys, who filed lawsuits in three states last week saying McDonald´s was stealing their wages in a

Maybe Barack Obama should have given Zach Galifianakis an off-ramp, like the one he keeps trying to offer Vladimir Putin. Those were some pretty barbed lines the president unloaded on the comic actor last week in their semi-parodic "Between Two Ferns" interview. In case you´re wondering why I´m writing about this—well, I am too. A Malaysian jetliner has vanished into thin air, while Russia has completed its seizure of Crimea and may yet invade other parts of Ukraine. Serious stuff, you might say. But the big story of last week as far as the president is concerned is his appearance alongside

Error 404: U.S. officials plan to relinquish federal control over the administration of the Internet to something called the "global Internet community," which is full of tyrants to whom the free flow of information is a threat. In the wake of the NSA surveillance scandal, some might not be inclined to defend federal involvement in anything related to the flow of information between individuals. But the decision announced Friday by the Commerce Department to give up next year its oversight of Icann, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, to the "global Internet community" is a bad idea. Secession: Following Sunday´s forced referendum and despite U.S. and European Union sanctions, it looks like Russia will succeed in separating Crimea from Ukraine. Are the borders of every country now up for grabs? We´ve heard all the arguments, including that Crimea´s population is 58% Russian, and that it was only in 1954, during the Soviet era under Nikita Khrushchev — himself a Ukrainian — that it became part of Ukraine. But allowing Crimea to be pried away from Ukraine by threat of force after Russia´s fraudulent referendum sends a signal to disgruntled regions of the world that, when it comes to borders,

Is Barack Obama simply too busy to be Chief Executive of the United States? Apparently. One of the primary functions of the president is to keep the nation safe, to preserve it from its enemies. To do that effectively, one would actually have to maintain something of a consistent level of attention to the moving pieces that directly influence how future events will unfold. None other than the truly sycophantic thinks for a second that President Obama cares a whit for anything that does not involve fundamentally altering the social composition of this country. Or golf.
