The Strategic Concentration of Modern Children

| Back in the good old days, when a few million humans were evenly distributed across the planet, every young man was a rampage killer. In the dawn raid, the idea was to kill all the men in the neighboring village and grab a few women. (Snip) A mere thousand years ago, the Vikings liked nothing better in the autumn than to rampage up the rivers of southern England. Now we have the modern rampage killer, who, with benefit of modern technology, can kill a whole classroom of children on his own, without benefit of a band of brothers.

Comments: Watch for the regime to start going after home schoolers, who refuse to concentrate their children.

Good article. Many Americans have independently come to the same conclusion. The government schools once educated; they now indoctrinate.

Obama´s rampage on economic growth is killing the dreams and aspirations of millions of people which is actually more deadly in the long run because it´s creating a form of economic Darwinism. At some point society is going to have to deal with the human and economic costs of people not finding a self sustaining path in life. There´s a lot more ways to kill people than pulling a gun. Killing people on the inside destroys society as whole.
The left will never get off this kick of government spending being a panacea solutions to of all forms of socioeconomic problems. They screwed up Egypt´s economy and now the world bank has to cough up $4 billion because they have no cash flow. Using cigarette taxes as collateral for the loan is ludicrous but they are being driven by western liberal´s policies.

Odd article. Yes, the concentration of children by age group is a modern occurrence...and not necessarily for the better educationally. But it is irrelevant to stopping the next shooting. The real issue is access to treatment for those with serious mental illness, as well as limiting the access to guns for this same very, very small population.

A very interesting read. But why focus only on children? Why not the entire society and all its economic, political, and cultural institutions? America´s current drive to centralize or concentrate all aspects of its society will lead to its ultimate destruction. A decentralized society is more likely to survive. Whether it´s disease or economics, localized errors seldom kill the entire organism. Thus the genius of the republic (a collection of autonomous states collaborating but not centralized) as opposed to the mega democracy.

Yes, this article deserves a more thorough treatment of the issues included. I do agree that the move to centralize always ends up badly.
And yet, millions of Americans got up this morning and sent their kids off to school. Their prayers might have been more fervent, their fingers crossed, but they sent them off nevertheless, and will continue to send them to government schools. Sadly though, the indoctrination at the schools is just as dangerous to life and health as bullets.

Good article! Technology makes home schooling more possible than ever. Give up one income and teach your kids at home with a curriclum you approve of. Public schools are dangerous on many levels. Former teacher.

Very stupid article. Anything we´d recognize as civilization (means "living in cities") going back 2,500 years and more, says this guy is an idiot.
Yes, some primitive (and yes, I´m calling them "primitive") tribes of people, around the world, have done these kinds of raids. And y´know what, that´s why they live in the dark and cold and stay primitive.
The "concentration" of stuff is called life, you want to concentrate enough water to have a drink, enough people to have a family and a tribe, enough students that a teacher has a class, then you want to share a library and some play areas, etc. That isn´t a communist conspiracy. Good grief.

Obozo´s marxist regime is building Micro Apts in NYC, LA & elsewhere.. the plan is to close suburbs & put middle class in 300 sf highrise apts.
Now that they are actually constructing the units... how long before the other elements are executed? Gov´t is rapidly buying up all mrtgs. & calculating Best Use value on each.... to raise taxes beyond what is feasible to pay. Car licensing & taxing will make them unaffordable. Road repair will stop. Hey... I didn´t dream this up! It´s from an Obozo CZar´s dream.

A battle has been brewing in the Republican Party for some time, long before President Obama was re-elected this past November. On one side is the big business Washington establishment represented by K Street lobbyists and the Chamber of Commerce. On the other side are populist, main street, grassroots conservatives represented by the Tea Party and Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint. Few issues divide the Republican Party more clearly along these lines than immigration reform. And this week, the battle just got ugly.

“Counter-revolutionary” is an apt term for these days: President Obama has promised to make a fundamental transformation, a veritable revolution in American society and culture. Those who oppose such an ongoing agenda are suspected of all sorts of racism, nativism, misogyny, homophobia, and general counter-revolutionary activity. Sam Parnia MD has a highly sought after medical speciality: resurrection. His patients can be dead for several hours before they are restored to their former selves, with decades of life ahead of them. Parnia is head of intensive care at the Stony Brook University Hospital in New York. If you´d had a cardiac arrest at Parnia´s hospital last year and undergone resuscitation, you would have had a 33% chance of being brought back from death. In an average American hospital, that figure would have fallen to 16%

In that speech of his, 30 years ago, Reagan said, I know this is a formidable technical task, one that may not be accomplished before the end of this century. Yet current technology has attained a level of sophistication where it’s reasonable for us to begin this effort. It will take years, probably decades, of effort on many fronts. There will be failures and setbacks, just as there will be successes and breakthroughs. Yes — failures and setbacks, and successes and breakthroughs. How patient have people been with the failures and setbacks?

The economist Thomas Sowell has just released a new book entitled Intellectuals and Race. (Snip) AmSpec: In the book you have a definition of “multiculturalism.” Can you talk about that and its implications? Sowell: The central premise of multiculturalism is that no culture is superior to another. The proponents of this draw conclusions such as it is wrong for school teachers to insist that black kids from the ghetto speak standard English. The idea that no culture is superior is another fact-free premise. If you look at the actual history of any society, they borrow from other societies.

The economist Thomas Sowell has just released a new book entitled Intellectuals and Race. The American Spectator sat down with him recently for a lengthy interview. In this first part of the interview, we discuss some of the causes of differences between ethnic groups, and how intellectuals in the early 20th century viewed race versus intellectuals today. (Snip) AmSpec: One of the things that comes across in the book is that it’s possible different racial groups will have different outcomes but those differences may be in no way related to genetics. A coalition of Eagle Scouts, Scoutmasters, and parents have launched a new organization vowing to keep sex and politics out of the Boy Scouts of America. “The Boy Scouts are one of the great jewels of American culture,” said John Stemberger, an Eagle Scout and the founder of OnMyHonor.net. Representatives from more than a dozen states gathered in Florida to announce the opposition to any attempt to allow open homosexuality in the BSA. The BSA is expected to offer a proposal that would remove the national rule banning open homosexuality -- and replacing it with a local option.

The sequester may have many across the country singing the blues, but for President Obama, it was all about Memphis Soul. In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

The state of California is reportedly considering legislation that would force group insurance policies to provide infertility treatment for gay and lesbian couples. Two men who have sex with each other for a year and do not produce a baby would be considered “infertile” under the proposed legislation. So would two women having sex. Since biology does not allow those without a uterus to conceive or those without a penis to impregnate, every year-long gay couple in California would potentially be covered by this new provision of California law.
