| Thanks to the massacre in Newtown, Connecticut, producer Harvey Weinstein has cancelled the Los Angeles premiere of Quentin Tarantino’s blood-soaked new Jamie Foxx vehicle, Django Unchained. A representative of The Weinstein Company announced, “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the tragedy in Newtown, CT, and in this time of national mourning we have decided to forego our scheduled event. However, we will be holding a private screening for the cast and crew and their friends and families.” Weinstein has come under fire thanks to his support of ultra-violent flicks, especially those directed by Tarantino

I saw another article where the freak tarantino was saying "Give me a break" about blaming the influence of media.
Well, a loaded gun on a table will harm no one until someone picks it up and does something with it.
Most people would do no harm.
Ideas on the other hand, can have livelong impressions.
So, does the crybaby understand how supporters of freedom and the 2nd Amendment feel now, or will he continue to be a dung-filled hypocrite?

Tonight I was watching channel 11 (which is a Fox station) promote a horror film during a commercial break from a comedy show.
It showed meathooks and a women screaming. Didn´t take long now did it!
I always wonder about people who go see such films and those that advertise them.

Weinstein and Foxx are two of Obamas biggest supporters. Now they can have an exclusive party and don´t need to invite the public. Foxx is a racist. Weinstein is master liberal manipulator. He engineered The gimmicky The Artist so that the French star who used to mock 9/11 received the Oscar instead of gary Oldham and others. The best actor in The Artist was UGGS the Jack Russell. Hope this movie bombs big time.

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion. "The politics has been relentless and that continues," Sebelius said. "There was some hope that once the Supreme Court ruled in July, and then once an election occurred there would be a sense that, ´This is the law of the land, let´s get on board, let´s make this work.´"

President Obama kicked off the week in Connecticut with a rallying cry for new gun control measures hand-in-hand with Sandy Hook parents. This afternoon, Obama sat down in the Oval Office with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel — who, with a military, civilian, and contractor work force on edge about their jobs, is tasked with unveiling what could be a punishing presidential budget for the Pentagon tomorrow. Over at the Senate tonight, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) filed cloture on the motion to proceed to the gun-control package, which means

President Obama will unveil his 2014 spending plan Wednesday, 65 days late and several trillion dollars short, by Republican standards, of effectively reining in the national debt. But the more relevant fact about the White House budget may be the yawning political void into which it is about to fall on Capitol Hill. Administration officials say their plan offers a path to compromise, a centrist course that avoids the extreme spending cuts of the House Republican budget as well as the $1 trillion tax hike endorsed last month by Senate Democrats. The president’s proposal contains the same set of policies

When someone in the Washington area begins to type the president’s last name into the search box of Google’s home page, the top three terms it suggests as the most popular selections are Obama, Obamacare and .?.?. Obama phone. Obama phone? A hotline, maybe, to the Oval Office? Hardly. “Obama phone” is the widely used — and misleading — nickname of a 28-year-old federal program known as Lifeline. It provides discounts, averaging $9.25 a month, on phone service for 13.3 million low-income subscribers. In the 31 / 2 years after false rumors

For a few minutes the other night, the hot topic on CNN was .?.?. bacon. The panel on a new prime-time show called “(Get to) The Point” came out boldly in favor of it. “I had a double order this morning at breakfast,” confessed Jason Taylor, the pro-football-player-turned-“Dancing With the Stars”-contestant-turned-TV-gabber. “But there’s a restaurant in Miami. .?.?. You know, they have a great bar. They don’t serve bar nuts. They have bacon.” “Wow!” responded Margaret Hoover, a fellow panelist. Former President George W. Bush said he supported background checks during the 2000 and 2004 presidential debates. Check out the video proof posted by Buzzfeed. “I believe law abiding citizens ought to be able to own a gun,” he said during a 2004 presidential debate against Democratic challenger John Kerry. “I believe in background checks, at gun shows, or anywhere to make sure

A bipartisan group, dubbed the “Gang of Eight,” has been spearheading immigration reform efforts for months, and no legislative text has been presented to date. When it is presented, Democratic leadership in the Senate and Republican leadership in the House are expected to try to rush the bill through to passage. It seems very odd that President Obama has made gun control the signature issue of his second term, so far. He can’t possibly achieve any significant legislation; a few tweaks to the background check system, maybe, but there is no chance of getting any meaningful gun control through the House. The House Democrats aren’t even trying. So it also seems strange that all eyes are on the Senate, where Harry Reid will unveil some sort of gun legislation–no one knows what, exactly–on Thursday. The party’s left-wing base is lining up behind the bill, sight unseen.

In a poll conducted by PoliceOne, a majority of law enforcement personnel said universal background checks, "assault weapons" bans, and "high capacity" magazine bans do not make police safer and will not lower violent crime. Armed citizens, on the other hand, do make a positive difference. In the poll of 15,000 law enforcement professionals, 71% of respondents said an "assault weapons" ban would have zero impact on violent crime. Of those surveyed, 95.7% said the same of a "high capacity" magazine ban, and 79.7% said the same in response to a question on universal background checks.

Vice President Joe Biden gave a heated speech on reducing gun violence this afternoon, lashing out at Republican senators who have vowed to filibuster the gun-control legislation. “It’s almost mind-boggling,” Biden said to law-enforcement officials in Washington, D.C. He asked the senators to consider how their actions are being viewed by the international community: “In sophisticated capitals and in less-sophisticated capitals, they all reported on Sandy Hook, they all reported on Aurora.” “What do you think is being said today in those capitals about us?”

Margaret Thatcher captured Americans’ hearts and minds in a way few other foreign leaders have done, and much of that was because of the symbiotic relationship she had with President Reagan — a relationship that in many ways mirrored the storied “special” friendship between the two countries. Mrs. Thatcher, who died Monday at age 87, was a tough-talking maverick who was bullish on the promise of the U.S. as a force on the international stage. Those traits appealed to Americans weary of the 1970s malaise and eager to hear reasons to believe in themselves. “She had the perfect balance between

Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- With time running out on the chance to pass gun control legislation, President Barack Obama on Monday warned Congress not to use delaying tactics against tighter regulations and told families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims that he´s "determined as ever" to honor their children with tougher laws. Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

The sequester may have many across the country singing the blues, but for President Obama, it was all about Memphis Soul. Even with the threat of furloughs and government cuts sparked by the sequester, Obama took the time to enjoy a star-studded concert at the White House tonight. The White House celebration of Memphis Soul music in the East Room--which included special guest appearances by Queen Latifah and Justin Timberlake--is likely to rile Obama´s Republican foes. Some conservatives have called on Obama to give up golf, especially since popular public tours of the White House have been canceled because of

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

Congress and the American people need to know what happened the night of Sept. 11, 2012. Who did the killing and what was their motive? Why wasn´t help sent? And why did the administration lie about who was responsible? Members of Congress have asked hundreds of questions at hearings conducted by several investigative committees, but many of the most significant have been left unanswered. Obama’s ambitious plans to ban assault weapons and limit magazine capacities are off the table, while the NRA suggested it could support the most likely outcome -- expanded background checks -- as recently as 1999. The NRA claims that the president’s efforts have triggered a fundraising surge and boosted its membership from 4 million to nearly 5 million.

Margaret Thatcher had more impact on the world than any woman ruler since Catherine the Great of Russia. Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.
