Well, it´s certainly legitimate to question why the police were such bad shots. Backfire? When is the last time that happened? Cars in the 1950´s maybe? Right outside Police headquarters? What a coincidence. By someone with a long rap sheet? Another amazing coincidence. Driver flees the scene? Uh-huh.

Were guns thrown away during the chase, as the article states NO guns were found on the dead or in the car? With 30 LE following, surely outnumbering two. All are taking the word of one LE officer who SAID a shot was fired. Granted, the one dead had a rap sheet and might have committed a recent offense which was not included on the rap sheet.

The police in this country are unaccountable and out of control.

The driver and passenger were both riddled with bullets (24 and 23 bullets respectively) and yet no weapons or cases found in their car, the route they drove is being searched. I understand killing the driver if indeed he was aiming for the police in cars and on foot but why kill the passenger? Lots of questions here that need answering. Reasonable force in defense of life.. yes. Judge, jury, and executioner.. no.

And they want to take guns away from law-abiding citizens, because we´re supposedly not trained. Mm hmm.

137 shots fired. 47 gunshot wounds. 110 shots...well, who knows where all that lead went. 13 policemen firing?
No guns or shells from the dead found. Do the police in Ohio have a no tolerance policy on the use of guns during a crime?

The police statement is that "they don´t know why the driver did not stop", yet when the driver did stop he received 24 gunshot wounds...personaly, I might see a reason for not stopping.

The police seem to be "Johnny on the spot" when it comes to chasing down, and killing someone who may be committing a crime, with zero tolerance. A school full of children...well, I guess we can deal with that through gun controll.

Maybe it´s just me but I think our priorities are skewed.

Cops are some of the most poopy pants, bed wetting cowards around. If it weren´t for Tasers, there´d be a lot more dead 10 year old girls or old ladies around. Most became cops to get back at all the people who chased them home after school every day.

Major dittos, #9. It´s an indisputable fact. To add one more little tidbit, I think most young LEO´s have watched a little too much TV. Add Zimmy to that list. I´ve captured 2 Trayvon´s without my "Trayvon´s" even knowing I was there. One time, in order to get the police to respond to my calls (3), I had to threaten to kill the man. I literally had to tell the police (who were not responding to my calls as I watched the criminal work) that the event had just changed from a "burglary/prowler" call to a "man with a gun" call because I was going to have to put the guy down. [Should anyone be horrified that I´d kill a man who is stealing children´s bicycles and lawn furniture, just know that there are still a few Americans left who refuse to live in a world where criminals are allowed to pick at us without repercussions] After my proclamation that I was going to shoot the guy (and that I knew my call was recorded and the ensuing investigation would show their incompetence) 6 cars arrived and I was 75m in front of the perp to greet the cops and point the guy out. After capturing the guy and recovering his pile of stolen goods, they started to congratulate themselves for capturing a criminal in the act!!! As a hot-blooded senior NCO at the time, I told them of the incredible lengths I had to go to in order to get past the MP desk. They were not happy, and I asked the CID personnel at the scene to please review the calls. I was never charged for my threat.

P.S. - the alarm system that let us know there was a prowler were 2 Jack Russell Terriers who, while we watched TV in a dark room, ran to the other side of the house uncharacteristically. The people getting victimized were probably cat owners. (sniff)
