Michigan´s ´hot dog guy´
getting new digs after
protesters destroyed his supplies

The “hot dog guy” is getting new digs. Clinton Tarver, the owner of Clint’s Hot Dog Cart and Casual Catering, saw his small business thrust into the national spotlight on Tuesday when his supplies were destroyed at a pro-union protest against right-to-work legislation in Lansing, Mich. “Violent” demonstrators tore down a tent where Tarver was serving his dogs, he said, prompting a staff member for a local lawmaker to create an online fundraiser for the 63-year-old downtown fixture. As of Friday, more than $33,000 had been donated. “I’m overwhelmed,” Tarver said Friday. “The public has shown such love to me.

Perhaps I missed the announcement.
How many of these union thugs have so far been arrested on domestic terror charges?
Has there yet been filed a multi-million-dollar lawsuit naming the AFL-CIO, its officers and member organizations, as perpetrators of terroristic threatening, assault, criminal damaging, loss of sleep, and conspiracy?
If not, why not?

The union thugs really hurt themselves. Not just because of the hot dog cart, but their overall conduct. No one wants to sympathize with ugly, disrespectful and violent behavior by anyone- especially when those people ar already over-paid and under-worked. Unions live in an artificial economy, just like politicians, that is unsustainable. Greed, laziness and a sense of entitlement is now the defining qualities of the union.

Am I the only one that is getting real sick of the direction that Fox News has headed? This weenie didn´t think it was necessary to include the racist name-calling but ,instead, puts the work "violent´ in quote marks needlessly. I heard Mr. Tarver interviewed on the Sean Hannity show last week. He seemed like a very nice fellow and thanked everyone for their kind help to replace his business. I think Sean kicked in $5 grand to help him get a new start. Now why aren´t any of those Union Goons sitting in jail right now? I think they caught those Goons on camera destroying his hot dog cart? Mr. Tarver had a license to do business where he was attacked.

For the most part FOX is pretty doggone balanced. But, it is important to call them on inconsistencies, on shading of truth. Praise where praise is due; blame where blame is due.

Our vitriol belongs aimed at the once mainstream media.

Following Tuesday´s special election victory, Democrat Robin Kelly will start a new job in Congress as the least senior member of a House dominated by Republicans. That political reality is not lost on Kelly, who said her first task is to restore district offices and concentrate on constituent services as she replaces disgraced former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. in the South Side and south suburban 2nd Congressional District. "Yes, we´ve seen some tough times and some setbacks. I know for some of you, your faith in your leaders is a little shaken,"

Actually, she is backing off. Here’s the thing about her now-famous MSNBC promo: Either she’s saying something radical or she’s saying something so banal that it’s barely even worth saying. The radical interpretation is that she thinks parents should have less say over how their children are raised and that “communities” should have a larger role. The very, very banal interpretation is that she thinks communities should do more to improve children’s lives and that thinking of them as “our children” might help forge that mentality. The money line in the promo that pointed to the radical interpretation

WASHINGTON- Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel says he wants U.S. military law changed so senior commanders can´t overturn courts-martial verdicts in major crimes such as rape. Hagel said the Pentagon´s top lawyers would prepare legislation for Congress that would strip commanders´ power to toss out convictions, "except for certain minor offenses that would not ordinarily warrant trial by court-martial." Convicted defendants still would be able to appeal their cases. But in a move berated by advocacy groups for military sexual-assault victims, Hagel also said he would recommend commanders retain the power to alter courts-martial sentences,

If presidential politics ever involved time travel, President Obama might be in a little trouble. If an election between Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama were held today, 58% would vote for Reagan over Obama, according to a survey of 1,000 Americans age 18 and older conducted by Kelton Research for the National Geographic Channel. Though when the field is narrowed to people ages 18-34 -- those either too young to have known Reagan as president or too young to remember much -- the gap shrinks to 51% in favor of Reagan.

We´ve got full background here, but the toplines are this: Corn got hold of a conversation apparently recorded during a presentation by consultants to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell´s reelection campaign. The consultants were opposition researchers, hired by the campaign to ferret out damaging information about actress Ashley Judd, who at one point considered running against McConnell.
