Andrew McLaughlin, a former member of President Obama´s senior White House staff, who served as Deputy Chief Technology Officer of the United States, mocked Nancy Lanza, the murdered mother of the Newtown, CT massacre killer Adam Lanza, on Twitter Saturday evening: Andrew McLaughlin@McAndrew -The ever-brilliant Jo Miller nails it: "Thank god Nancy Lanza had a personal arsenal for her protection, or she might not be alive today."

It actually isn´t a bad statement. If you are housing a loved one with the combination of a development disability and a psychiatric disability (as his brother reported), then your house is not a good place to store multiple weapons. I´m sure she thought that familiarity with weapons would keep him from using them in the wrong way...but psychosis knows no such boundaries.

Good somebody is finally calling this clown a ´killer´ instead of the ´shooter´ . I gave up on Fox News yesterday after watching Bill Hammer and Jerry Rivets . Guys report the news and shut up about your broken hearts. The killer, like all these recent killers was a terminally unemployed young leftist. Otherwise known as Obama voters.

Thanks for the info about the killer´s voting record. Not surprising though considering he was psychotic. I thought I had heard all the State Police press conferences, but must have missed them reporting this. Wonder how they got this information; I thought when you pulled a voting lever it was private.

If not for websites such as this, Newsbusters, and very few others, we would have no idea of the truth in any national or local matter.

The print media is totally agenda driven.

Nothing worthwhile on FNC either. Have long considered them CNN lite.

This McLaughlin character demonstrates the complete lack of humanity and decency that I find in almost all Democrats. Their sick little brains simply cannot fathom those concepts. Nor can they just keep their mouths shut... not for one second. The world awaits their every twisted thought.

This story is about mental health. The libs turned the mentally ill lose on society and believed that if the mentally ill remained among us it would make them "normal". Andrew is an a-hole and shows it by his tweet. I assume Andrew is a bit like Rosie O. She wants gun control but the security unit that protects her family are armed. Control for thy but not for me. If a few people had been trained and carrying that day maybe it would not have been so bad. If you turn schools into security prisons the crazy people will just go somewhere else. Grocery store, shopping mall, gas station.

Reply 11 - Posted by: Teleologicus, 12/16/2012 10:59:11 AM     (No. 9069074)

A typically tasteless Leftist comment. But there is more than mere tastelessness at work in such insensitive, dehumanizing thinking, which represents the primacy of pure thought over actual existence, including existing human beings. Pressed to its logical limit, such thinking leads to the Gulag and to death camps. Of this, of course, shallow and self-righteous people like the sarcastic originator of the comment have no idea whatsoever. They would be horrified if they grasped the implications of their thinking. They naturally see themselves as on the side of the angels.

The above can seem dense and obscure, but it is really just about the reduction of the human and the real to the technical, i.e. inhuman and the abstract, which is the point of entry for the demonic. For it is not virtuous and angelic but demonic to mock and make fun of a murdered human being in the service of a political agenda, no matter how sublime and even valid the latter may seem to be.

The whole story of this awful slaughter has yet to be told. Cannibalizing its parts to score political points is itself a kind of violence not wholly dissimilar to the murders themselves. The ugly, sarcastic, self-righteous remark is another example of the malice and moral vanity of Leftism.

Reply 15 - Posted by: Flybynight, 12/16/2012 1:45:32 PM     (No. 9069349)

It´s appallingly clear that liberals are not the only ones who choose not to understand the heartbreaking troubles faced by the mentally ill and their families. The liberals are concerned that their rights be preserved, which means inadequate treatment and supervision, and the conservatives want to point fingers and assign blame. and every so often we have another mentally ill person, whose worrisime behavior has been ignored, go on a killing spree. Both Liberals and conservatives think there is some easy solution. Libs want to grab the guns, and Conservatives want to blame Obama and hold forth "family values." Which is a euphemism for their own fundy religious intolerance. Both are utterly wrong.

We need to review our community mental health situation, and make a higher level of care available to those whose condition warrants it.

The president golfed with White House aides Marvin Nicholson, Joe Paulsen, and Michael Brush. Last Saturday, the president played golf at the same course with Nicholson, Brush, and friend and Chicago businessman Marty Nesbitt. The outing marked his first time on the golf course since the sequester cuts went into place on March 1. The president also took in the Syracuse-Marquette NCAA tournament basketball game

No doubt there are parents who have frank, frequent, open and easy discussions with their teens about sex. I’ve never met any. I do know parents, however, who were stunned to find their 15-year-old’s birth control pills in her pocketbook. Or who came home early to discover junior and a girl they’d never met frantically buttoning up. Or who found out — when their children were grown — what really went on when Meghan said she was sleeping over at Ashley’s. Such sobering tales of teens snookering mom and dad caused mixed emotions in me — a solidly pro-choice

A few years after the assassination of President John F. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
