Blasphemy and Islam
National Review Online, by Andrew C. McCarthy

Original Article

In Cairo on Wednesday, a Coptic Christian blogger named Alber Saber was convicted of blasphemy and “contempt of religion.” There’s a tragic irony: As any of the country’s Christians can tell you, contempt of religion is not merely permitted but encouraged in the new, post-Mubarak Egypt. What is criminal, what has become increasingly perilous, is any criticism of Islam. Nor is truth a defense. Another Egyptian court recently upheld the blasphemy conviction of Makarem Diab, also a Coptic Christian. Diab had gotten into a discussion with a Muslim acquaintance, Abd al-Hameed, who, in the course of mocking Diab’s faith,

and this administration aligns itself with these free speech haters...
Not surprised since Obama, the Democrat Party and the liberal media are using selective propaganda to demonize Christian Conservatives; EXACTLY the same tactic used by Hitler to demonize Jews.
This has gone WAY past politics, it is falsely accusing people with legitimate concerns of hating women, being homophobic and being racist bigots. It is blatant lying about those who don´t agree with this administration, and where this administration is taking the country; it´s changing the minds of the public to the point where innocent God fearing people can be openly ridiculed, falsely accused, fired from there jobs, fined and incarcerated for disagreeing with them while the public turns their heads.
America land of the Free? Not anymore.

Islam is an intestinal virus that must be confined to the cesspool countries from which it spews. Without some kind of drastic reform it will be doubtful if there will be many Muslims around by the end of this century. The civilized nations will soon realize what course they must follow to eliminate this ignorant and deadly ideology.

Before the century, or perhaps the first quarter of the century is out, the West will, by necessity, be in an all-out war with Islam, and they will have been armed by America. Obama is sending F16’s to Egypt, Libyan and American heavy weapons from Benghazi to Syrian and Iranian al Queda rebels via Turkey, and weapons via Fast and Furious to al Queda linked drug cartels in Mexico and Central America (not all cartels, note, just al Queda linked cartels).

The Left has elected a treasonous alien to the American presidency, and he is rapidly arming our enemies while dismantling our military, strangling our energy and thus strengthening the Middle East Islamist oil=rich states, and undermining our economy.

This will not end well.

Extreme secularism --- the French call it "laicite" --- is presently aimed at clearing Judeo-Christianity completely out of the public square, out of sight and sound, out of civil society. The result will not be "a secular society," because secularity is just a spiritual emptiness. The result will be Islam.

The secularists -- whether they know it or not --- have for 2 generations been preparing the way for Allah the Inexorable.

Islam is simply surging into a vacuum.

There is one essential reason for having a federal government, and one principal reason for the creation of the office of President of the United States: to protect our citizens in the exercise of their fundamental rights from hostile foreign forces.

How much simpler can it be explained? Thank you, Andrew.

This gets very close to a fundamental conflict between civilizations which is highlighted by Islam vs the US Constitution. The first amendment prohibits the establishment of any official religion and any law limiting the free exercise of religion. How can this work with Islam which is more of a political program than a religion. It explicitly demands that Islam become the established religion and will institute punishment of anyone for the practice of another religion. It would be difficult to imagine anything more at odds with the first amendment than Islam and yet we have a president who swears to uphold the constitution, and is a constitutional scholar who promotes Islam and is ready to impose it´s sharia speech restrictions on american citizens. The whole orgy of blaming Benghazi on a film about Islam and jailing it´s author tells us Obama would impose Sharia as soon as he could. He is more comfortable with sharia than the US constitution which he swore to uphold!

If you´re a bloodthirsty miscreant, boy,is Islam the religion for you! They get away with so much because Christians are so "Christian". Jesus was NOT a a blue-eyes wimp--he was a stud who was feared by the jerks of his time. Christians need to grow a pair and repay the jihadists in coin they know of.

The radical faction of the LGBT community is now getting the same outrage it had directed toward former Mozilla chairman Brendan Eich earlier this week over a campaign contribution, which led to his departure. Now the company is getting flak over Eich’s forced resignation from a company he helped co-found. That decision angered many of Mozilla’s customers, and they didn’t hold back on their criticism, according to The Daily Caller, which reported: The decision to remove the man who invented the web scripting language JavaScipt did not sit well with many customers — many of them pelted Mozilla’s website with a surge

Even if that means following this route that a UPS driver described to an incredulous press member: "We´re gonna make a right turn onto 135th to Western. We´ll make another right on Western down to 139th. Righ turn on 139th and go down to the end of the block and we´ll make another right turn." “Truly, this man was the son of God.” Thus speaks a Roman centurion at the end of George Stevens’s inaptly named The Greatest Story Ever Told (1965). It’s a line that always gets a big laugh, partly because the idea of anything so irreligious as Hollywood hokum commenting on the provenance of Jesus Christ is axiomatically funny, but mostly because the centurion is played by John Wayne, a movie star who might have known a son of a gun when he saw one, but who patently knew precious little else. When future generations come to look back on the alarm over global warming that seized the world towards the end of the 20th century, much will puzzle them as to how such a scare could have arisen. They will wonder why there was such a panic over a 0.4 per cent rise in global temperatures between 1975 and 1998, when similar rises between 1860 and 1880 and 1910 and 1940 had given no cause for concern. The president gave two speeches this week, one in the Rose Garden to talk about Obamacare and one in Ann Arbor, Mich., to push minimum wage increases. What did we learn? We learned that President Obama is most comfortable in campaign mode, and his campaigning has gotten downright ugly. His Rose Garden speech was a typical self-congratulatory moment for supposedly hitting 7.1 million Obamacare sign-ups — although we know that once again, the White House is ignoring some inconvenient truths. We also learned that the president was vain enough to asked the networks to cover his speech in prime time, but
