Washington - President Barack Obama plans to travel to Newtown, Connecticut, on Sunday to meet with families of the victims of a Friday school shooting that was one of the deadliest such incidents in the nation´s history. The White House said in a statement Obama will speak at a 7 p.m. EST Sunday interfaith vigil for families of the victims and other students from Sandy Hook Elementary School, which was attacked on Friday by a heavily armed gunman. In his weekly radio and internet address earlier on Saturday, Obama said it was time to "take meaningful action to prevent

Comments:
Will this interfere with Sunday night football, "60-Mintues"? Oh, the humanity. It´ll be interesting to see what "interfaith" is and what images are visible around 0bama.

"attacked on Friday by a deranged 20 years old man with two pistols"

I do think it is appropriate (even given the fact of a photo op). What is not appropriate is his entourage. Considering the circumstances of what these people have gone through, he should have the guts to go it alone. Take an example of Queen Elizabeth.

You know what, I think he is getting a little bit better at this President thing. I don´t know if it will last, but he shows signs of caring about something other than ideology. Maybe it´s just the shock of election season and it will wear off. But to be fair, I think he is getting slightly better and so is Michelle.

Don´t be ridiculous. EVERY President does this and the families always seem to appreciate that the President of the US, no matter who he is, honors their lost family member.

#5, there were 4 handguns and an assault rifle found in the school the State Police said today. I would call that ´heavily armed´. All victims were killed with the rifle and were each hit from 3-7 times the Medical Examiner said.

So does this mean Obozo will apologize for selling weapons to Mexican drug cartels that killed thousands of women, children and men with? Will Obozo then proceed to arrest himself for his crimes? If so then that would be a positive move in the right direction.

Every American knows Obama has been indoctrinated in the philosophy of "never let a crisis go to waste."
Bill Clinton probably told him to get his rear end in front of the camera ASAP to take advantage of the massacre.

Clinton demonstrated the professional way while leaving the funeral of Ron Brown.

Note how Obama wipes a non-existent tear from the corner of his eye (as the teleprompter instructs), just as Bubba did when he spotted a camera.

He has no business going there just two days after the horrible shooting and grieving parents trying to get their arms around what they just lost. He´s only going there to exploit the tragedy to make a push for gun control, using poor dead kids as a prop. This is shameless beyond words.

The same people supposedly grieving over this from a distance also support abortion on demand and late term abortion.Abortion devalues human life and desensitizes people to the value of life.

Kids are shot all the time by drive by gangbangers and you don´t hear a peep from the left about it because it exposes the foolishness of banning handguns and people still getting them. Bloomberg blames other states for people in NYC for having guns.Nothing to do with the subculture.

Bahrain on Tuesday became the first Arab country to blacklist Hizbullah as a terrorist organization, the Al Arabiya network reports. The move came a week after the Bahraini parliament voted to label the group a terrorist organization. Its alleged backing and training of radical Shiite groups against Bahrain was the main reason given for the decision, the report said. The Bahraini cabinet has tasked the interior and foreign ministries with implementing the decision. “The measure is to protect Bahrain’s security and stability from Hezbollah’s threats,” Bahraini MP Adil al-Asoumi told Al Arabiya.
