That is the last thing those people need. They need space, family and time to start the healing process, which in this case will be most difficult. For him to go and turn this into the theater of the absurd will only make this worse.

Enough of this whole spectacle! Yes, it is a tragedy for those involved. But terrible things happen every day. On a scale of national importance, it is nowhere near as important as the deaths in Benghazi, which got virtually zero attention from the media.

Disgusting, repulsive, hideous, repugnant, vile...sickening.
One insane person commits a terrible, evil crime. With all due respect, this is NOT a national tragedy. Stop the exploitation, please. We the People are not responsible for this. The only people this involves and to which it is a TRUE tragedy are the ones who lost loved ones and/or friends and the family of the shooter. If one doesn´t know those involved or the victims, it is sick to enmesh oneself and act as if one personally lost someone. Empathy, certainly, but enmeshment, no. We have got to stop this "all in" mentality.
This one shooter is not indicative of the people of Connecticut nor the United States. We are not responsible for him and what he did, period. He was ill. It is very upsetting to see how easily some of my countrymen can be manipulated. And yes, with all this said, I wish those involved some grace and peace, if that is even possible in this horrific situation.

Is the media now espousing religion, prayer?
Why must the Producers of the Cables all feel compelled to intrude upon the grief of a small town whose citizens are suffering so?

At first , I was going to say that not even Obama would be so craven and insensitive as to intrude on the unspeakable grief of the families for political gain. But, then I came to my senses. Only Obama would be so craven and insensitive that he would dance on little coffins for political gain. Maybe he doesn´t know that the election is over ? He doesn´t have to campaign 24 /7. Or is this his filthy way of trying to pressure Boehner ? BTW- I broke down and watched Barry yesterday. He did not cry or emote-in fact, he was bloodless. He rubbed his eye and the media described that as crying.

It´s hard to find that perfect backdrop like a historic New England church or a statue of Abraham Lincoln when you are playing the role of a saint. Maybe Hollywood can help with special effects and make up. They have been so supportive in the past. Lights, back lit halos, artificial tears. They can do it all.

The Obama administration is engaged in a broad push to make more home loans available to people with weaker credit, an effort that officials say will help power the economic recovery but that skeptics say could open the door to the risky lending that caused the housing crash in the first place. President Obama’s economic advisers and outside experts say the nation’s much-celebrated housing rebound is leaving too many people behind, including young people looking to buy their first homes and individuals with credit records weakened by the recession.

PALM CITY, Fla. – President Obama on Sunday displayed the freedom that comes with not having another election ahead of him, golfing with Tiger Woods in an enclave of privilege here along Florida’s blustery Atlantic coast. Since his reelection in November, Obama has been talking about the perils facing America’s middle class, highlighted in his State of the Union address last week. On Friday he visited a public high school in his hometown of Chicago, where he spoke in personal terms about the need to reduce gun violence and create jobs in the country’s troubled urban areas.

President Obama summoned congressional leaders to a Friday summit at the White House in a last-ditch effort to protect taxpayers, unemployed workers and the fragile U.S. recovery from severe austerity measures set to hit in just four days. Also Thursday, House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) announced that he would call the House back into session this weekend. And in perhaps the most significant development, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) for the first time was engaged directly in talks with the White House. He signaled an interest in cutting a deal.

With financial negotiations all but halted, President Obama was headed out of Washington on Friday evening for his annual winter vacation in Hawaii. Obama is likely to have a short trip this year; aides said he is scheduled to return Wednesday, a day after Christmas, to resume discussions with congressional leaders on how to avert the fiscal cliff. “Merry Christmas – because we didn’t get this done, I’ll see you next week,” Obama said after telling reporters he still had hope of striking a deal to prevent taxes from rising on the middle class next year.

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

The report cited United Kingdom diplomats, saying Pyongyang was demanding the U.S. president personally call Kim Jong-un as one of the conditions to relieve the current conflict at hand. Itar-Tass also quoted the U.K.’s Sky News as saying North Korea currently has eight nuclear warheads.

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. (Snip) Last month, the Nielsen Co. started labeling people in this group "Zero TV" households, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —
