| The Rev. Gary Hall, dean of Washington National Cathedral, said he plans to use his sermons Sunday to address gun control, which the Episcopal Church strongly supports. National Cathedral officials announced that Hall will preach on the topic at the 8:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. services in response to the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre , the second-deadliest shooting event in U.S. history. (Snip) The planned sermons follow an outpouring of support for gun control or for the victims at local events and vigils in the in the Washington area. So-called gun-free zones, containing defenseless innocents, draw such evil beings like pollen and nectar draw bees. Arm those teachers willing and able to carry. Arm those parishioners able to protect the congregations. Publicize such capabilities. The Rev. Gary Hall is a tool of enshrined evil!

If they were truly serious about gun control, they would go into the cities and get the ILLEGAL guns away from the gangs. Night after night, there are shootings in the inner cities, but nothing is done. The numbers of police officers are cut due to lack of funds because exorbitant union pensions and goobermint freeloaders come first. Existing laws are not enforced. So, just how serious are we about gun control. Oh, I see. The guns of the law-abiding citizens must be controlled, but not the criminals with the illegal guns.

I thought the Obama Administration was already controlling guns. Didn´t they send them to Mexico? and to many of the Middle Eastern countries where rebellion after rebellion has been occurring using weapons furnished by the U>S> and other major players attempting to overthrow the Governments in place so that truly Democratic elections could ensue. Why have a Country whose Government is allied with the U.S. continue to exist when you can replace it with an Islamic Government which is an enemy of the U>S>.. That´s the Obama mantra. Note to the President -Sharia law is NOT democratic. But you knew that already. and terrorists do NOT discriminate when they create havoc. Everyone who does not believe as they do is an enemy.

Guns do not kill ; cars do not create accidents; forks do not make people overweight people do. There is a right and wrong does not matter all the social babbling you are still responsible for your deeds. Where life is not held to be of worth; ie abortion; what does that teach society? Where God is shut down and not allowed in the public square that states there is nothing here or after so just do whatever you please. This is the sad state of our country today.

Baloney! If the Principal, or any of the Teachers in that school had kept a gun in their desk drawer this guy would have been stopped before he could kill all of those children. Also, WHY were the school doors unlocked? In this day when there are Wackos like this guy out there ALL schools should be in lockdown during school hours. ALL students should go through security before entering the building. It´s come to that, but it works. There is no reason to blame GUNS. That is stupidity!

Since the schools and many churches no longer teach right from wrong, good vs. evil, students aren´t being taught what they need to know to become solid citizens.
No Pledge of Allegiance, of course; why, it refers to God, and we can´t have that. Video games that depict indescribable violence are never the problem either, natch. Hollywood films that depict extreme and unpunished violence are rarely blamed. Nor is blame laid at our inadequate mental health system, along with legal liability that makes people think twice before reporting clearly disturbed people to mental health professionals for assessment.
The problem always has to be the guns, and never the underlying societal decay.
I am so grateful that the notions of right and wrong were drummed into my head at school. The late Fifties and early Sixties weren´t so bad after all...

It´s a fool´s errand to try to debate such matters logically with Leftists. Logic is a tool they do not use, comprehend, or respect.
Pastor Gary is a moron in regards to both the law and human nature. That´s bad news for someone who is in his position.
He could save his congregants a lot of time if he skipped the polemic and simply stood up, said "I´m a moron," and sat back down.

They used to detain crazy people so that they would not have the chance to indiscriminately murder innocent people. Now crazy people are deemed to have the right to wander around unsupervised, thus giving them the chance to indiscriminately murder innocent people before they can be detained, if they don´t take the easy way out and kill themselves as well.
First priority should be to change the AFT background protocols to ensure that crazy people cannot walk into gun stores and purchase firearms by lying on the ATF form that everyone must fill out that is the basis used to complete the background checks.
They must also stop using medical privacy laws to hide the fact that a person is mentally ill or that a person has been committed to a mental treatment facility from law enforcement.
The above will be hard to change, because mentally ill persons can vote in this country, and you can bet that most of them vote for liberal Democrats.
Therefore most liberal Democrats will never publicly admit that a perpetrator with a mental illness is just about always the cause of the about 20 mass shootings that occur in the USA each year.
A firearm does not have a vote, so it is safe in the short-term for liberal Democrats to demagogue the issue and fraudulently blame firearms. No doubt the liberal Democrats will now overreach in their efforts to enact new firearms control laws.

In order to dominate the population, you must have a compliant bunch. The people must be satiated in one way or another; entertained; easily aroused when necessary to the emotion required.
Anger/hatred, fear/anxiety: These the Dem/Lefties are top-notch at stirring up. Do they EVER ask The People to THINK? To REASON? To CALM DOWN?

Churches are run by men, not gods. The Bible is interpreted by men, not gods. Even denominations that use the very same version of the very same Bible cannot agree on what it means. That´s why I do not attend church, and find the spiritual answers I need in the people and the world around me. My answers are probably righter than theirs.

SAN FRANCISCO — California lawmakers are considering taking some tax exemptions away from youth groups that do not accept gay, transgender or atheist members — a move intended to pressure the Boy Scouts of America to lift its ban on gay Scouts and troop leaders. Some cities have withdrawn free rent and other subsidies from the Boy Scouts over the years, but legislation introduced by state Sen. Ricardo Lara would make California the first state to target the Scouts for its anti-gay policy. The Long Beach Democrat´s bill, SB 323, is scheduled for its first committee hearing on Wednesday.

The strike late Saturday in the Shigal district of restive Kunar province near Pakistan was called by coalition forces after they and their Afghan counterparts came under an attack that killed one American advisor and badly wounded four Afghan troops. The American death was reported on Saturday, but details of the alleged civilian casualties only surfaced Sunday. Wasifullah Wasifi, spokesperson for the governor of Kunar province, said the strike

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”
