Dem Lawmaker: Obama

Shooting To Get Gun Control

Breitbart´s Big Government, by John Nolte

Dem. Rep. Jerrold Nadler is at least being honest about how he, and no doubt many Leftists, would like to feast off an unthinkable tragedy and exploit it in order to pursue a nonsensical agenda that would ensure only bad guys have guns. Last night on "The Ed Show," Nadler openly called for President Obama to "exploit" the murder of 20 children, “I think we will be there if the president exploits it, and otherwise we’ll go on to the next.” In his statement to the country yesterday, while he wasn´t specific about what action

Too bad Jerry, Bayrock has not passed a budget since he has been POTUS. HE got to do that first. Don´t you wish he had been taking care of business? Give the teachers a $50/Month stipend to maintain a CC permit and end "GUN FREE" zones!

The Real Truth of the Matter

No sane, rational personal can fail to be heartbroken over the deaths in the Connecticut school shooting this past Friday.

The young man who did this was mentally ill.

He is now being judged by his Maker for the deeds he did in the flesh. Unlike this life, justice in the next life is certain.

Now our politicians and others will begin the ritual of trying to eliminate guns (it began before we even knew the name of the assailant, or knew that he was a young male with mental problems)

The young man could have killed by setting fire to the school... maybe with even more deaths. He could have killed by running over the kids with a car or truck as they waited for the school bus. He cold have killed them with nails and nuts and bolts in a pipe bomb. He chose to use a gun.

Each year there are about 12,000 people killed in the US by all type of guns. Each year there are about 4,000 people killed with knives. Each year there are about 1,000 people killed with blunt objects like baseball bats, shovels and lampstands. Each year there are about 2500 people killed by other methods (poisoning, etc.)

Total - about 20,000 people.

Each year (over the last thirty years) there is an average of about 40,000 people who are killed in automobile accidents.

If we really want to save lives – the MOST lives - ban the automobile.

YES, that’s stupid. So is it stupid to ban all knives, all baseball bats and all lampshades. WHY? Because it is PEOPLE who kill, not the implement.

Michael Bloomberg didn´t even have the decency to wait until there was a final body count before he was on national TV calling for the end of private gun ownership.

As for Obama, you don´t have to fret about missing his opportunity. While the rest of the country mourns these little kids, you can count on Obama seeing a world rich with political opportunity ripe for the milking.

Let´s try not selling guns to mentally unstable people...opps, already do that.

Let´s ban guns altogether... Opps, See how well that works for cocaine.

Reinstate the "bad gun" ban.... Opps, he had pistols as well.

What really needs to happen is for people to get over the idea that they must not report unstable people for fear of stigmatizing them. opps, they don´t get in the database that bans them from buy guns. Well, at least you didn´t stigmatize them.

If people get their cues from government, it might be wise to condider a few facts:
1. The U.S. is one of the largest exporters and suppliers of light and heavy firepower to much of the Third World. We are also on the U.N Security Council. I won´t even talk about China, Russia, and the major players in Europe. The Left worships at the altar of the UN
2. The Left was all in a lather over the Iraq War. But now that a Democrat is in charge, and is ordering armed drone strikes on suspected terrorists without due process, the collective Left is mostly silent.
3. The Left screams and rants over an aberrant school massacre carried out by a maniac, and claim to care about the children. Yet, they continue to cheer and promote the daily slaughter of life that is carried out in abortion clinics. The estimated death toll is 300 million and rising since Roe v Wade was decided by the Supreme Court.
3. The Left considers G. W Bush one of the worst, evil presidents in U.S. history. Yet, they continue to worship Bill Clinton, a serial sexual harrasser, abuser, and unindicted rapist.
I could go on and on and on, but the fact is, we live in an insane world that is run by various sociopaths and psychopaths. And we´re shocked when another isolated loser snaps his tether and mows down a bunch of helpless children.

I´m sure this thought immediately occurred on the left, and they´re pausing briefly to make it less obvious. I don´t doubt some silently celebrated this opportunity to push their agenda, though it´s likely one of their own that perpetrated the crime.

Fairness would suggest we try this idea in a few test areas, no ?

Perhaps we could ban guns in a few big cities and see if the benefit out-weighs the rank violation of the constitution.

No, wait.

Perhaps these tests have already been run.

Perhaps the highly educated, very scientific leftists could take a moment to review the results of these test cases before pontificating any further.

there are more people killed in car accidents than guns. Should we ban all cars? Air travel isn´t guaranteed. Many have died from plane crashes. Should we ban all flight. People have stabbed people to death, should all knives be collected? People have strangled others, should all hands be amputated?

There are a lot of mentally ill people out there who vote for the liberal Democrats, so don´t look for any liberal Democrats to pin the blame for this latest mass murder situation on a mentally ill person, while directly firearms have no vote, so look for the liberal Democrats to seriously attempt a gun control overreach.

When the liberal Democrats did that the last time, a lot of them were voted out of office in several elections. You can look for that to happen again, if the liberal Democrats do not limit their gun control efforts to steps designed to keep mentally ill people from easily getting their hands on firearms.

Who would they demonize before are all the facts are known, would they blame an inanimate object for the slaughter. The handling of the Fort Hood terrorist may be a good indicator.

Supreme Court justices seek

The Supreme Court searched Tuesday for ways to let women get birth control without the government forcing their employers to cover the cost, as justices tried to balance business owners’ religious rights against allowing religious objections to a broad range of public policy issues. Justices touched on abortion, the limits of federal power and details of birth control, but the case centering on the Hobby Lobby craft store chain likely will come down to whether the court believes for-profit companies and their owners can claim a moral conscience objection to paying for employees’ birth control. The Washington Post is reporting that the Obama administration will give extra time to Americans who say they are unable to enroll in health-care plans through the federal insurance marketplace by the March 31 deadline. According to the Post, consumers who have begun to apply for coverage on HealthCare.gov, but who do not finish by Monday, will have until about mid-April to ask for an extension. To take advantage of this extension, consumers need only check a box on HealthCare.gov to indicate that they tried to enroll before the deadline. In the context of talking about limits on free speech, it’s common to say that your freedom to swing your fist ends where my nose begins. That seems like a sensible way to think about the freedom of religion case just argued before the Supreme Court: whether employers can be required to pay for contraceptive methods that would violate their religious convictions. Most disputes about religious freedom are bilateral — with the government on one side and the individual claiming infringement of religious liberty on the other. The Supreme Court seemed divided Tuesday over whether the religious objections of business owners protect them from a requirement in President Obama’s Affordable Care Act that health insurance plans cover all types of contraceptives. With both spring snow and demonstrators gathering on the sidewalk outside, the justices spent a spirited 90 minutes debating religious conviction, equal treatment for female workers and whether the court would be opening the door for religious challenges to all sorts of government regulation. It is difficult to predict a precise outcome based on the justices’ wide-ranging questions and statements.

Several justices sharply questioned Obamacare’s “abortion mandate” today at the Supreme Court, and five justices – a majority of the court – appeared deeply skeptical of the controversial regulation at issue. Media Matters, the website of choice for Fox News haters everywhere, attacked the cable news network on Monday for using the term “homosexual” in its programming — advancing the peculiar argument that the scientific term has a “pejorative connotation.” The online “media watchdog” contends that calling gay people “homosexual” is “a practice that’s quickly falling out of favor with major news outlets due the term’s often pejorative connotation and frequent use by opponents of LGBT equality.” Fox News, they chide, “has yet to update its language when referring to gay and lesbian people.” Buttressing their argument? First Lady Michelle Obama talked about America as she visited a school today in China. She talked about the American dream: And my story isn’t unusual in America. Some of our most famous athletes, like LeBron James, and artists, like the singer Janelle Monae, came from struggling families like mine, as do many business leaders -- like Howard Schultz. He’s the head of a company called Starbucks, which many of you may have heard of. When Mr. Schultz was a boy his father lost his job, leaving their family destitute. But Mr. Schultz worked hard. He got a scholarship to a

WASHINGTON — Spring break was never this dull. First Lady Michelle Obama’s kids finally hit the wall on their whirlwind visit to China, showing signs they’ve nearly reached their limit tagging along with mom as she visits site after site on what’s billed as a “person-to-person” tour. Accompanied by Malia, 15, and Sasha, 12, the first lady on Monday toured Xi’an, an ancient city in the ancestral province of Chinese President Xi Jinping. They inspected the city’s 600-year-old wall, a day after touring the Great Wall near Beijing. Photos show Sasha looking like she’d rather be back home with her pals than hitting the

The Obama administration is prepared to give prospective Obamacare enrollees another half-month to signup for insurance coverage through the Affordable Care Act website, healthcare.gov, treating the law´s March 31 regulatory deadline as a formality for Americans who claim they tried in earnest to sign up in time. During a March 12 congressional hearing, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told Texas Republican Rep. Kevin Brady that there would be no such extensions. ´Are you going to delay the open enrollment beyond March 31?´ Brady asked. ´No, sir,´ she replied. On the same day, Julie Bataille, a spokeswoman for the

Most Supreme Court watchers are fixated these days on Sebelius v. Hobby Lobby—the important challenge to the Affordable Care Act’s contraception mandate scheduled for argument Tuesday. And why wouldn’t they be? With its potent mix of religion, sex, Obamacare, and prayerful corporations, it’s the blockbuster case of the term. It is also a crucial test of Chief Justice John Roberts’s leadership on the Supreme Court. Just two years ago, Roberts cast the deciding vote to largely uphold the Affordable Care Act. While the country remains divided over whether he acted like a traitor or a statesman, all would have to agree

It’s not an early April Fool’s joke -- Business Insider has hired disgraced former NYC Congressman and mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner to write a weekly political column, starting Friday. Hunter Walker, Business Insider’s politics editor, published the announcement on Monday, after teasing the news on Twitter by announcing that “something wonderful is about to happen.” The folks at Business Insider are clearly aware of the built-in entertainment value of hiring the scandalized politician, who is best known for sending an explicit photo of himself to an online mistress on Twitter -- and initially denying the photo was his. (The trouble didn’t
