Progress visible on Fast and Furious
Arizona Daily Star, by Tim Steller

Original Article

Posted By:PLPointer67, 12/14/2012 12:08:17 PM

Two years after bandits killed U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, visible progress has finally occurred in the criminal cases and internal investigations that exploded afterward. This week, the straw purchaser of two AK-47-style rifles found at the scene of Terry´s death, west of Rio Rico, was sentenced to almost five years in prison. Jaime Avila Jr. was one of seven defendants from the original Operation Fast and Furious sentenced this week. (snip) Terry´s cousin, Robert Heyer, said the family still sees a lack of accountability among government officials who conducted Operation Fast and Furious

Comments:
I saw a NYTimes New Service article on this yesterday, saying that this sentencing ´closed a chapter on F&F.´ Yeah... Right... Thank you Arizona Daily Star/Tim Steller for turning yet another page.

Let me get this straight. They´re putting the bundler who was under direct orders from the "Justice Department" in jail and they´re not doing squat about those who gave him his marching orders? This is closing absolutely nothing! It raises even more questions.

Until the people who dreamed up this international gun running scheme are brought to justice, there is no justice.

This operation has Obama’s fingerprints all over it, and was just a warm up for his most excellent Benghazi adventure.

It makes Iran-Contra look like a Girl Guide Cookie sale.

Scapegoats do not constitute progress. The blame goes to Obama and Holder for approving this hare-brained anti-gun plot that resulted in murder.

#2 is correct, yet don´t forget Eric Holder. He´s also a ringleader at the top. The Obumbler and his AG are the responsible ones. The rest are just bit players in this high stakes game. The small players lose and those truly responsible go on tax-payer funded vacations and are free to work their destruction in other areas of gooberment. I want them held accountable!

The Democrats would have had a Republican attorney general sitting in prison and a Republican president impeached long ago. Shoe on the other foot, issue politely set aside, president reelected, AG continuing to advocate for "his people."

GOP is the New York Mets of politics.

The best we can hope for, to get to the higher ups, is for a tell-all book by one of the people being sacrificed. That won´t bring justice, but at least they can be exposed.

obama is a mass murderer of over 300 people. He authorized this. He is as guilty as the people pulling the trigger as he supplied the weapons and now protection. He figured if enough people are murdered by American guns then we would want gun control.

This is justice? You´ve got to be kidding me. I want to see 25 year life terms for Holder and his minions.

If the wireless Internet connection during your holiday flight seems more reliable than it used to, you could have the humble potato to thank. While major airlines offer in-flight Wi-Fi on many flights, the signal strength can be spotty. (Snip) Engineers at Chicago-based Boeing used sacks of potatoes as stand-ins for passengers as they worked to eliminate weak spots in in-flight wireless signals. They needed full planes to get accurate results during signal testing, but they couldn’t ask people to sit motionless for days while data was gathered. “That’s where potatoes come into the picture,” Boeing spokesman

The IGFA announced that the giant tuna Yocom caught while fishing on his boat, El Suertudo (The Lucky One), approximately 100 miles off Cabo San Lucas, is the new standard for yellowfin. Yocom’s catch broke the record of 405.2 pounds set in 2010 by Mike Livingston of Sunland aboard Mike Lackey’s boat, the Vagabond, out of Point Loma Sportfishing.
