| New York’s first girlfriend, Sandra Lee, stormed out of BG restaurant at Bergdorf Goodman after thinking she heard offensive comments about her “semi-homemade” empire. The Post’s Kirsten Fleming reports that Calvin Klein’s ex Nick Gruber was dining with new boyfriend John Luciano and several friends near the entrance to the cafe Tuesday night when Lee, the longtime girlfriend of Gov. Cuomo, came in to sit near the back of the restaurant with an unidentified male friend. Gruber and others at his table didn’t recognize Lee, whose “Semi-Homemade Cooking” empire spawned a Food Network show, magazine and

Oh my, the "first-girlfriend" of Gov. Coumo---on TV--realty cooking show--that is bad for his political life; divorced Kerry Kennedy and she just lucked out of a DUI even when hitting a truck in the rear after taking ambien.....just cannot support him with his ex-wife and girlfriend always in the news and on TV. Just chasing those dollars with writing all of those cookbooks. Wish they would just go back to Wasilla----oops, New York and get out of the limelight.
Since all the players are Dems everything is just fine, but let a Republican´s name get in the news--------different story!

I´ve seen the show a few times in the past and it´s not really all that bad (and she is a little cutie to be honest). It´s basically about taking stuff you bought from the store and making a few simple changes to make it look (and hopefully taste) better. It´s for people who don´t have the time or desire to cook and lets them do something a little nicer than prepackaged meals. I do think she needs to grow a thicker skin. And I do think those twinks were intentionally trying to insult her. It wasn´t acoustics that let her hear them, it was their intentionally LOUD voices.

This woman has created enough hideous table scapes (what she calls the monstrosities that fill a table to match the awful food she cooks) to launch a cruise ship. Now living with Cuomo, her back goes up easily...hey, he´s the NY governor and she´s his arm candy. His daughters apparently also live with them. If this new doyenne wants to be above reproach she ought to think before she acts. The restaurant thing is as phony as she is and her power play is transparent. I don´t think she could cook her way out of a paper bag but I gave her credit for her hard work. That just went bye-bye as she shifted into the real second hand mama and revealer herself as just another whiny and pukey demonRAT.

This white blonde once made "Kwanzaa Cake" on her show which could have been renamed "Dog´s Dinner." It consisted of a store-bought angel food cake covered with chocolate icing, canned apple pie filling dumped in the hollow center of the cake, with three regular candles, one red, one black and one green, stuck in the cake. Lastly, and to dress it up I suppose, she then dumped acorn meat over the icing. When I first saw it I thought it was a joke. But no. She was getting down with the brothas and sistahs Betty Crocker-style.

Watched her show....once. She always pushes the cocktails and she makes her lasagna with tomato soup....blech
It has been written she has not always lived in a fancy house complete with cooks and bottle washers, butlers. She had family obligations, no money, and many mouths to feed. For this reason, she is cut a little slack from the Texas viewers nick of the woods. Sandra has done well for herself, pulled out of misfortune, but still on the prowl for easy cooking Personally, McDonalds would be a choice before considering Sandra Lee´s dinner parties.

I give her credit for pulling herself up by the bootstraps, as it were, but somehow she comes across as less Shania Twain (who also raised her siblings, while giving up a shot at stardom) than Scarlett O´Hara (who looked after her family but became a ruthless golddigger in the process). I cannot STAND to watch her. I´d rather watch that hideously awful Nadia chick on the Cooking Channel than her. And that´s saying something. This little episode validates what I think of her.

If you get a chance, read her biography sometime. Yeah, she cooks with Bisquick but the reason is she learned to cook for her siblings using the limited supplies available to her. Instead of wallowing in self pity, she tried to make meals interesting and festive. There are MILLIONS of Americans struggling right now that could learn a lot from her and her spirit. Count me as one of her fans.

#33 -- While I admire her tenacity and the fact that she came from nothing...she didn´t work her way into "striking it rich." As I understand it, her first husband was a multi-millionaire, and he helped her catapult her career. Every once in a while she does a recipe I really like...for instance, one that I actually added to my recipe box is her recipe for tangerine teriyaki baby back ribs...they´re actually very good and very easy.
With all that said, she came from nothing but alas, she is a stinkin´, dyed-in-the-wool, liberal...and now can be classified as limousine liberal to boot!

Hours after the Lockerbie atrocity, Mrs Thatcher was wading through the carnage wrought by terrorists over a small Scottish town, paying her condolences to the bereaved. It had been a long and harrowing day, but when she arrived back in London late that night she still found time to phone me at home. Her voice was anxious, kind. She asked: ‘How is Ray, dear?’ The day before, my husband had suffered a serious accident and Mrs Thatcher had been characteristically solicitous, offering her car to run me home.

Arizona Gov. "It is chilling to imagine an Arizona school child being shut away in a padded room, no larger than a closet, for hours on end," Brewer said after signing the law Friday. "There has to be a better way." With the new law, Arizona will join more than 30 other states that impose rules on the restraint of students in public schools.

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

Writing in the blog The Review, J.P. Freire performs a devastating examination of how the Associated Press eulogized former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on Monday versus how the news service examined the legacy of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez upon his death. What Freire found was an evident sense of admiration for Chavez’s accomplishments as the Latin American state’s autocratic leader, but a distinct lack of respect for Thatcher’s achievements in office. “Love her or loathe her, one thing’s beyond dispute: Margaret Thatcher transformed Britain,” AP opened the former U.K. prime minister’s obituary on Monday.

Is ObamaCare the reform to end all other reforms? The massive health care law´s problems are well known. Major tax hikes and Medicare cuts will fund a massive new government program, rather than shore up the nation´s finances. ObamaCare already is encouraging companies to cut jobs and work hours. With the administration delaying the insurance exchanges that might help small businesses until 2015, even ObamaCare cheerleaders are growing worried. And the law will leave tens of millions of Americans without health coverage. That´s the best-case scenario,

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Chelsea Clinton has raised her profile in the last few days, which sparked the inevitable question about the former first daughter´s future: Will she ever be like Mom and Dad and run for office? Clinton, 33, essentially said "maybe" in an interview that aired Monday on NBC´s Today show. "Right now I´m grateful to live in a city, a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, my governor, my president and my senators and my representative," said Clinton, whose father, Bill, was president from 1993-2001 and her mother, Hillary

More than 700 Special Operations veterans are urging members of Congress to back a select committee to investigate last year’s Benghazi terrorist attack, according to a letter first obtained by Fox News. The letter from the group, “Special Operations Speaks,” supports the appointment of a special committee tasked with the single mission of investigating the attack that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead, and shut down the CIA operation in an annex of the Benghazi consulate, in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack. “Congress must show some leadership and provide answers to the public

Amid all of the very real threats of war and stuff from North Korea, you´d think American intelligence officers want as much video footage of the enemy as possible. Well, here is one video featuring North Korean exercises and Kim Jong-Un holding a gun, and we´ll say this: they certainly get points for presentation. Remember the clap-happy report from Dennis Rodman´s diplomatic basketball vacation? This video comes courtesy of the same Youtube channel that gave us that Rodman video. It appears to be the same state news channel.(Snip for video)This latest dispatch from North Korea´s state television

Married couple George Harasz and Douglas Wirth of Glastonbury were supposed to be sentenced Friday in Hartford Superior Court under a plea deal, but instead withdrew from their agreement with prosecutors. The men had already pleaded no contest in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor — a reduction from even more serious charges related to sexual assault....
