Hillary: My ’do is a don’t
New York Post, by Andy Soltis

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 12/13/2012 5:13:28 AM

Hillary Rodham Clinton admits she’s never been good at coiffure — and that being secretary of state is an endless bad hair day. “I do not travel with any hairdresser, or anybody, to help me do that, and I’m not very competent myself,” she dished to ABC’s Barbara Walters. “I’ve been admitting that for years, which should be obvious to everyone,” she joked in an interview. Since she came to national attention as Bill Clinton’s headband-wearing spouse, her more-than-40 different hairstyles and lengths have received constant scrutiny.

She isn´t very good at shampoo either. What a bunch of garage, with her connections she could find someone to give her pointers a good style even she could do just takes effort.

What a load of bull-squeeze, as Neil Boortz would say. She has an entourage that Ari Gold would envy. This is a cultivated shabby look. I´m a-guessin´ that in the spring of 2016 [Mayan calendar permitting], the Beast will emerge with a perfect hairdo and a few lbs less.

The oxymoron of this story is the word ´joked´ in any quote involving the Hildabeest.

"...I’m not very competent..."

Could this be the first time Hillary Clinton has ever spoken honestly, about anything?

Her explanation just doesn´t wash. I know dozens of busy working women who do just fine caring for their hair and general appearance. Not being able to care for your own good grooming and hygiene is a sign of senility, not of an overly busy schedule.

I have my hair cut ever five weeks. I wash it every other day. It´s a good cut that I can are for easily and my hair always looks much better than Herself´s dirty hair. She looked very good during her run for the presidency.

It can be done.

Her hair usually looks lank, dirty. Any dummy can wash her hair in the shower. Assuming she showers?

She needs to give up the debutante length and get a good cut. The slicked back ponytail is better than just letting the whole mess hang there.

She is not a particularly attractive woman and her age is showing. The hair is not helping.

I agree with those who believe this is her schtick, the "I don´t care about hair--I have loftier things on my mind" persona she tries to reflect. Good old gravitas.

Mildly interesting that ´HerSelf´ always looks like a drowned rat. Compare to Margaret Thatcher or even the Bush ladies. Most comments about who has real class and who does not apply here.

In today’s vapid, superficial, political milieu, image is everything. When it comes to issues of vital national and international importance, it’s nevertheless difficult somehow to visualize Wife Hillary’s coiffure, conveniently located around her head, without also visualizing Husband Bill’s trousers, conveniently located around his ankles.

Hillary Clinton has changed her hair style more times than I can count. Queen Elizabeth has kept the same style for 60+ years. The Queen doesn´t look like she fusses much about her hair, but she certainly doesn´t go out with it dirty.

I have sympathy for Hillary´s aging problem as I share the same birth-year. But a good haircut and color once every four weeks costs me $100 in rural NH and even given the higher costs of DC or NYC it surely is within her price range! She just doesn´t care.

PS All the women who won the Democrat NH elections are either lesbians or look like lesbians: it is a point of honor among them to not be attractive to men.

Republican women usually look better groomed on TV than Dem women.
Even Madeline Albright was well groomed. (She did the best she could with what she had to work with.)
My hair stylist gives me a haircut that will look good for several months. Certainly PIAPS can afford a decent hair style that will be easy to maintain.

If she´s unable to do her own hair - a wash-and-wear hairdo is the way to go.

Just a good cut and a texturizer will do it.

Well, when she was campaigning for Pres. back in 08 her hair did look good. Someone was with her to style it and fix it. So she can come through when there is a game.

I share her age plus a few more and gave up the hot rollers and curling irons long ago. Just find some one to cut your hair the way it grows so that all you have to do in the morning is run a brush through it. Even the wind cannot damgage it. This isn´t rocket science, she just doesn´t care. If she can´t care about her personal appearance then she doesn´t care enough to hold the job she has or even being President of the USA. We already have one of those and it is disasterous. I am pretty sick of all of them.

Condaleeza Rice always looked like she just stepped out of a band box (old expression for looking fabulous). In fact, her hair and dress style improved in her years as SOS. And, she was always a lady.

As another poster said, PIAPS (I´ve missed that expression) does think we´re fools to buy this BS and may prove to be right come 2016. Barbara et al will help her along and whitewash her past. For some reason, Americans have very short memories.

For the first time in my life, I agree with her. I have a bad hair life, and the ONLY way to keep it under control is keep it long and braided. It´s baby fine, very straight, very thick, and grows very fast. Perms don´t take, styles don´t stay in (yes, with both mousse and spray), and I can´t afford to get it fixed every day (which she could), AND I have to be at work at six in the morning. Shorter hair clings to my head like a seal pelt. Medium hair loses all body within hours. And the braid is usually fuzzed out by the end of the day.

Probably the worst to me is when she pulls it back. She finally stumbled upon a winning do last night though not sure it was her real hair. Her short-to-midlength page boy was also pretty good, I think.

I never understand all the attention we conservatives give to this women’s appearance. Get over it, she just looks like the middle age supervisor at most offices in America. (And frankly she dresses better than most, considering office casual is now something my Mom would have not worn to shop at Waymart’s.) I said this before, she is not running for the acting role of Secretary of State, she IS the Secretary of State, an Office that does not have a dress code other then look nice and decent.
Ok, She has no taste what so ever in her choices and, well hair has never been a priority. But let’s be truthful here, no matter what she looked like all the above post would find fault. We don’t like her politics, period, but that has nothing to do with her hair, I have seen many male politicians who would benefit with some pointers on how not to cover his bald spot.
You guys would never have let Israel’s great Prime Minister Golda Meir through the door!

I agree w/ #3. As soon as she resigns as SoS, she´ll be at the exclusive spa, losing weight and having her body re-styled, extreme make-over. She´ll not only shed pounds, but wrinkles. She could donate enough skin to save a burn victim, but she´ll have the doc dispose of it secretly. The cover up will be bigger than Benghazi.

Agree with #46 to some degree. I think we conservatives should refrain from appearance-bashing.

I have a different theory than most here:

Hillary is intentionally letting herself look tired, haggard, and somewhat unkempt. She believes this makes her look "serious" and will convince the public she´s "working hard."

And indeed she seems to be successful in this bit of image-manipulation. She´s an absurdly under-qualified hack who has done nothing but harm; yet polls show the public admires her and thinks she´s doing a great job.

We´ve all learned by now that Hillary´s every move is carefully calculated, with a specific political aim.

Seems plausible that she´s setting everything up for her to wow people in 2015. (Compared to the maximally-frumpy look she´s sporting now, any attempt to look professional will be a notable improvement.)

Secondary suspicion: Hillary has always admired the animal kingdom for having pretty, frivolous males whose principal purpose is reproduction, with the females doing all the important things and expected not to have attention-grabbing appearances.

She seeks not only the Presidency in 2016, but a fundamental transformation of human culture to better-mimic the matriarchial ways of animals, and to marshal all overt authority and influence to women.

She´s never been after just sexual equality. She´s always hoped to effect a radical reversal of sex roles in society. Cultivating this look before she gains the most powerful job in the world is an important step in that plan.

Who really cares about Hilarys straggly hair , at least it goes well with a broomstick. It´s that she is in a position in which she is habitually lieing. She is either travelling abroad or has a summer cold . This enables her to dodge House explainng before many elected politicians about Benghazi such as who gave the ´stand down´ amd Iranian born Jarrett negotiating in Iran for the USA. Bowing to the Saudis , asking for help in delivering arms to the rebels in Syria, it´s mind boggling ! Enough is Enough.

I´m going to defend Hillary a bit, here.
Hillary travels the world constantly , while King Barry stays home and luxuriates and relaxes.
Going through multiple time zones a couple of times a week is physically exhausting .
King Barry sent Richard Holbrooke all over the world
and he died suddenly at 69.
Barry is and always has been a lazy slob and he makes Hillary and the other women do the heavy lifting.
When he travels on our Boing VC-25 , he irritates the traveling media by disappearing into the bedroom
for hours , no doubt with his companion Reggie Love .
He´s also known to play cards while aboard Air Force One.
While Jarrett and Michelle are pouring over policy papers on how to destroy the country,
Barry plays Old Maid.

The piaps wasn´t nearly as gross-looking back when she was bubba´s platonic roommate in our White House.

As with every other elephant in even the most modest of zoos, there must have been a a hose-person at the ready to give herself! the occasional rinsing. Now, on her own, the truth about hillary´s unsanitary ways is seeping out. If we let her back into the White House unattended, the Servpro restoration contract will likely be in the millions.

She is just a mess. Period. I don´t care what length her hair is or isn´t. I just think if she has that kind of money and is in the public eye, she should do more to make herself look presentable--even in this day and age of casual everyday. I don´t have the time or physical energy to do much with myself anymore but, unlike her, I can still make myself look okay without much fuss.

Ive always thought she exuded a very sapphic sensibility. Perhaps this new bullet proof football helmet she is sporting is a subliminal nod to her scissor sisters.

Agree with No. 8 - the lib broad in my family actually goes to a barber & gets a style resembling a crew-cut. She looks awful, but she doesn´t seem to care. (She did have those luminere things put on her teeth & now she looks like she wears bright, white dentures). When she was young & cute, she was a cheerleader & a prom queen, but she "found her voice" as a militant feminist & outgrew the desire to please mortal men with her appearance. It´s all about having such big, serious things on your mind that you have no time for frivolous things like grooming doncha know!

I tend to agree that she´s just an old hippie. If you look at her early photos, she never seemed to care about her appearance.

However, #50 and #51 have a point. She will look a lot better for 2016.

Did anyone hear what Rush called her laugh on Barbara Walters´ show? The call of the Arkansas Broadbeam.

President Obama met privately Thursday with Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis, the Democratic nominee for governor, amid accusations by her GOP opponent that she’s afraid to be seen in public with the president. A White House aide said Mr. Obama “visited briefly” with Ms. Davis following his remarks at the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin to mark the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. The meeting took place after reporters traveling with Mr. Obama had been moved into vans, so they didn’t witness the meeting. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, the Republican nominee for governor, has publicly dared Ms. Davis to be

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is the sound of nails scratching on the Blackboard Jungle. The body ostensibly honored Kiss, Cat Stevens, Nirvana, and Peter Gabriel, among others, by inducting them into their club last night at a party at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. But the real honor goes to all those bands—Def Leppard, The Cure, Cheap Trick, etc.—snubbed from the guest list. The Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs and "Be-Bop-A-Lula" and "Awopbopaloobop Alopbamboom" don’t belong cooped up behind a glass case in a museum. In his Senate Foreign Relations Committee testimony last week, Secretary of State John Kerry blamed Israel for the breakdown in peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. He argued that an Israeli announcement of 700 new housing units for a neighborhood in Jerusalem were what did in the talks. “Poof, that was sort of the moment,” Kerry said. “We find ourselves where we are.” This is an amazing claim, especially when the housing units are not in a settlement—but are in Jerusalem, Israel’s capital, in a location that every Israeli and every Palestinian knows will be part of Israel in

You’ve heard a lot of discussion of how many of those who signed up for Obamacare exchanges were previously uninsured, and how many had insurance, had their plan canceled, and had to sign up for a new one. Express Scripts is a giant company (Fortune 100) that manages pharmacies and prescription drug processing. They’ve got some new data to share on how their customers are purchasing or obtaining prescription drugs: Unlike medical claims that can take several months to process, pharmacy claims adjudicate in real time. And as the country’s largest provider of pharmacy benefits – the health benefit most often

It has long been recognized that “liberal” and “progressive” are misnomers when it comes to describing American leftists in the 21st Century. They may fancy themselves as forward-thinking but they go back eighty or so years whenever it’s time to craft economic policy and their racial politics gaze backward a half century. Most of the time. At the Civil Rights Summit in Austin this week, there were some prominent Democrats who surveyed the landscape and admitted that things are, in fact, much different now than they were in the early 1960s. Things have changed. That was the message delivered during

BEIJING — In 1970, when China was in the grip of the Cultural Revolution, Zhang Hongbing, a 16-year-old in Guzhen, a county in Anhui Province, made a fateful decision. During a family debate that year, his mother, Fang Zhongmou, had criticized Mao Zedong for his cult of personality. Her son and his father, believing her views to be counterrevolutionary, decided to inform on her. She was arrested that same day. Mr. Zhang still recalls how his mother’s shoulder joints gave a grating creak as her captors pulled the cord tight. Two months later, she was shot to death. In 1980, four years

Al Sharpton was thick as thieves with a notorious drug trafficker when he became an FBI informant — and even convinced then-US Sen. Alfonse D’Amato to get them $600,000 in federal funding for their “anti-drug” program. The portly preacher had just helped D’Amato win a tough 1986 re-election over Mark Green when he turned to the powerful lawmaker for the funding. Sharpton’s plan was to use a church-owned Brooklyn building for his program and give control to Robert Curington, who was labeled a Class 1 trafficker by the Drug Enforcement Administration because of his ties to major heroin dealers, according

Speaking at Al Sharpton’s National Action Network conference on Wednesday, Eric Holder took exception to criticism of his tenure as attorney general. He even hinted that the “unprecedented, unwarranted ugly and divisive adversity” was motivated by racism. “It had nothing to do with me, forget about that,”? Holder said. “What attorney general has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment? What president has ever had to deal with that kind of treatment?” Holder’s notion that past attorneys general have escaped widespread criticism, or that criticism directed toward him is solely race-based, overlooks incidents of those before him, including

Not that you’d know it from the rhetoric President Obama and fellow Democrat are happily flinging at Republicans who dare to oppose the measure. “I don’t know why you would resist the idea that women should be paid the same as men and then deny that that’s not always happening out there,” Obama said Tuesday. “If Republicans in Congress… want to show that they do care about women being paid the same as men, then show

The technology behind a huge part of Obamacare´s efforts to expand insurance coverage—the part aimed at low-income Americans—remains far from fixed, and the glitches are keeping some of the nation´s most vulnerable patients from getting insured. The administration launched a "tech surge" to improve the HealthCare.gov experience for those shopping for private insurance, but the website´s process for enrolling in Medicaid remained mired in glitches. And for President Obama´s efforts to expand health coverage that´s a major problem. To reach would-be Medicaid recipients, the Affordable Care Act relies on potential enrollees being able to effectively navigate the law´s website to enroll. And

How does the Republican Party establishment choose its presidential candidate? Typically, constitutionalists accuse their establishment rivals of being moderate, risk-averse, stubborn old fools who lack faith in conservative principles. This is a soothing interpretation, as it begins from the hypothesis that the contest between conservatives and the GOP elite is a family feud. But there is another hypothesis -- less soothing, but, at least from an outsider´s bird´s-eye view, more reconcilable with the facts. This hypothesis is that America has reached a stage of progressive soft despotism in which the only important family feud in national politics is between the fundamentally

A new review is questioning the effectiveness of two key drugs enlisted in the fight against influenza and in turn the investments by governments to stockpile the drugs in the event of a global flu outbreak. The antiviral drugs Tamiflu (oseltamivir) and Relenza (zanamivir ) are commonly used to treat influenza in healthy adults and children. In the case of Tamiflu, the drug does shorten symptoms of influenza by about half a day - as the manufacturer suggests - but there is insufficient evidence to support claims that it reduces hospital admissions or serious complications, such as confirmed pneumonia or
