Okay- when I´m king, the first thing I will do is outlaw polls as we know them. I shall decree that a video camera be set up in a public square and respondents must step up, give their name and city- and only then, will they be allowed to voice their opinion. Stringent? Yes it is but I´m sick of media (including Fox) telling us how we think. It´s been done for decades on the opinion page of your local newspaper. Think of all the time they will have to cover real news.

An old folk remedy for bed bugs is being studied by scientists. The remedy — which comes from Eastern Europe — uses bean leaves to capture the parasites, reports The New York Times. Just over a week ago, Chicago Public School (CPS) officials announced the closing of 54 elementary schools contained in 61 buildings, located in poor, mostly black and Hispanic neighborhoods. The move represents the largest mass closing of schools in the nation’s history. Only one of my six children has left New York for economic reasons but the strain of living in this expensive nanny state is weighing heavy on my other five and their families. As a native New Yorker, I´ve seen its middle class population decline over the years due to its neglect of blue collar families which is ironic since this is a Democrat city.
