War-making for Losers

The new U.S. Army manual for troops heading east apparently blames the tendency of Afghanistan’s U.S.-trained soldiers and policemen to shoot their Western “allies” on “American cultural ignorance.” Fortunately, the manual offers a solution: The draft leaked to the newspaper offers a list of “taboo conversation topics” that soldiers should avoid, including “making derogatory comments about the Taliban”… I mean, it’s not like they’re the enemy or anything. . . . “advocating women’s rights,” “any criticism of pedophilia,” “directing any criticism towards Afghans,” “mentioning homosexuality

I guess this means we must reinstate Don´t Ask, Don´t Tell. We don´t want to show our cultural ignorance. Boy Scout troops should adopt a NAMBLA chapter.

They kill us because they hate us and all we stand for. It has nothing to do with cultural ignorance. These are primitive savages.

Thanks to "earlybird" (poster #1) for weblinks.
The suicidal behavior of "government" officials seems to be accelerating and more bizarre and outrageous with time. This "manual" is an open admission of a morally and politically bankrupt policy towards the so-called "terrorist enemies" of the US. How can the same "government" which produces this kind of drivel be running the TSA domestic terror operation against civilian travelers? There is a logical answer, but it is not pretty or consistent with "American government" principles as ordinarily imagined by the "citizens".

In a primitive hellhole like Afghanistan, to win, you have to be willing to ignore the left in Western countries and use the extreme and effective tactics of Gengis Khan to wipe out the insurgent organizations.

Since it is clear that the Western countries ruled by progressive and socialist governments would never do that, the right thing to do is leave ASAP, or continue to get soldiers murdered by acts of Afghan treachery.

So are we saying that the people who have been killed by the Afghans in uniform, our "friends," died due to their own fault for being too stupid to appreciate Afghan culture? That sounds like what this manual is telling our soldiers.

I note that it is NOT because of any stupid policy coming out of the White House. /s

EVERETT, Wash. — As medical examiners painstakingly piece together the identities and lives of the people killed when a mudslide wiped out a small Washington community, a mystery troubles them. One of the 30 bodies found does not fit with descriptions on the missing persons list, which, as of Thursday included 15 people, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff´s Office. The only clue to the man´s identity is his gold molars, said Heather Oie, operations manager at the Snohomish County Medical Examiner´s Office. He might have been someone who was on the highway or going for a hike.

WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday freed wealthy donors to give more money directly to congressional candidates, extending its controversial 2010 Citizens United decision that opened the door for unlimited independent spending on political issues. In a 5-4 decision, the court’s conservative majority struck down Watergate-era aggregate limits that barred political donors from giving more than $123,000 a year in total to candidates running for seats in the House of Representatives or Senate. The court said this limit violated the free-speech rights of the donors, and it was not needed to prevent “corruption” of the political process.

SANTIAGO, Chile -- Chilean President Michelle Bachelet toured northern Chile on Wednesday, inspecting the damage from a magnitude 8.2 earthquake the night before that left six people dead and forced the evacuation of about 900,000 others but which apparently caused less damage than feared. At first glance Wednesday morning, damage to northern coastal cities near the epicenter seemed to be minor, according to local news reports and government officials. There were scattered fires caused by gas leaks and some structural damage to homes and businesses but apparently little devastation in the vicinity of Pisagua, near the offshore epicenter of the quake.
