ICE agents in New Jersey notified superiors at the Homeland Security Department because they considered it a potentially high profile arrest, and DHS instructed them not to arrest Sanchez until after the November election, one U.S. official told the AP. ICE officials complained that the delay was inappropriate, but DHS directed them several times not to act, the official said.

It only takes them until the fifth paragraph to remember to insert the "D" by his name.
Most readers never get that far.

When did the AP, Eric Holder, or the Star Ledger know. And if he was conservative, would they have delayed? I think not.

"unpaid intern", wouldn´t that sorta be a slave? Or does that only apply to white guys? Sounds like a codeword to me.

Remember folks, this is the same Senator, for which the following was reported by the Daily Caller before the election:

"Two women from the Dominican Republic told The Daily Caller that Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez paid them for sex earlier this year.

In interviews, the two women said they met Menendez around Easter at Casa de Campo, an expensive 7,000-acre resort in the Dominican Republic. They claimed Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex acts, but in the end they each received only $100."

Menedez won pretty handily anyway. This probably would have made a difference either.

Sounds like a case of official corruption to me. Who directed the DHS not to act until after the election, and why? The Dems better not get away with this one.....Benghazi and the Rice affair have dropped off the map.

First he was here on an expired visa, then he was under consideration as a "childhood arrival". He obviously didn´t make the cut. But something is fishy.

The intern is one of Bob Menendez´s known lovers. In certain circles Bob Menendez is know to have sexual encounter´s encounters with very young men some not of legal age.

That´s okay after all he is a Democrat so laws don´t apply to him.

Let´s see--18, from Latin America and a sex offender--could the young fellow possibly be a son of Menendez? All signs point to "yes."

The Senate doesn´t do background checks? Someone 18 years old from Peru might raise some questions.

#1 The crime was known but not prosecuted, by the order of OUR govt, until the election was over #2 The crime was hidden from American people until over a month after it was discovered and #3 the political affiliation of the criminal congressman was successfully buried deep into the AP article as are all articles detrimental to prominant libs.

If any company is doing well in this economy it is the one making the kneepads that the liberal media wears out at a rapid rate.

AP is slipping, told us Menendez was a D in the third paragraph. Usually it is at end of article if reported at all.

There are many unpaid interns in Washington. It is sort of like being a volunteer. They put in the time and hope to get noticed and hired eventually. A tiny fraction do get hired and then work for peanuts, barely able to survive. The rest move back home , opportunity gone.

Fox News often has Menedez´ daughter spouting Dem talking points. I´d like to see her ´splain this one away.
