Ken Burns: Duke Lacrosse
Team ´Mildly Inconvenienced´
by False Rape Charges

Breitbart´s Big Hollywood, by Breitbart News

Original Article

Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns understands the horrors faced by five New York City teens unfairly charged with rape back in 1989. "The Central Park Five," the new documentary co-directed by Burns on the subject, lets the five victims recall that tumultuous time in their lives and documents just how much the false charges crushed their youth. Yet Burns seems indifferent to another case in which three young men were unfairly accused of rape and waited 15 months to have their names cleared. Burns brought up the 2006 Duke Lacrosse case, in which three students

False rape charges, especially those that are the focus of a nationwide withchunt and scrutiny, are not a mild inconvenience. I am certain they could cope better than some with less means, but I am sure it was not anything fun.

Central Park Five? Is that the group of...urban yutes... who raped a white woman who was out jogging? Defense claimed they were just "wilding"? F´em. The three lacrosse players were railroaded by a heinous government conspiracy. That was scary.

Tell you what, Ken - how about we try falsely accusing you of, say, sexual abuse of a child at risk?

Just a "mild inconvenience", Ken. All you´ll have to do is "prove yourself innocent".

Jerk.

#3: The five yutes were cleared of the charges after fifteen years in prison. DNA evidence showed they weren´t the rapists. I don´t know what they were doing in the park or if they were there at all. I do NOT trust the NYC police, the NYC DA´s office, the NYC public defenders system ... and nobody else should.

What Ken Burns needs to understand is that the Duke Lacrosse players went through hell and it could have gotten as bad as what the Central Park 5 experienced. Maybe Ken Burns needs to be accused of rape and have the media attack him and lie about him incessantly. Have the DA hold on to obvious bogus charges until someone at the highest level of the state justice system steps in.

Everything I read about Burns makes me certain that his documentaries have disinformed people for decades and someone needs to make some counters to his lies.

"In no time" says Ken Burns! 15 months and how much in legal fees? Their own faculty was publicly against them. If their parents, had, not been financially able to defend them, they would be in jail today and their "victim" would have been on every talk show and perhaps the star of one of Mr. Burns´ documentaries.

I´ve had it with this country and gutless cowardly white men. I´m a white man who´s had enough of people like Burns, Foxx and whatever loony liberal who wants to rewrite history in order to slam white men. These black savages raped and just about slaughtered a white woman. In fact, according to FBI stats, every year since the 70´s there are approximately 15,000 to 37,000 rapes of white women by black men. The opposite...rapes of black women by white men?? Zero. Anything 10 and under in a single year is given a zero by the FBI. The left, fueled by Obama, is super aggressively trying to make white the new n-word. Ole Ken needs to read the history of these black racial terrorists in one of Ann Coulters books. "Godless", I think. I give up. White men need to shriek from the buildings they no doubt designed and say enough before it is just naturally assumed that all white men are guilty in the womb.

The Duke Lacrosse case was the worst case of prosecutorial misconduct I have ever seen, fueled by a white man seeking election as the DA sucking up to the black community at the expense of these white students.

The media jumped on board solely because they were white and rich. If it had been a white stripper raped by black students, we wouldn´t have heard a thing about it.

The Duke Administration threw these kids to the wolves and should have been fired. The teachers who accused them should have been fired. Instead, at least one went to Princeton. An absolute disgrace!

They weren´t cleared, their convictions were vacated. The charges were rape, robbery and assault. Vacating the convictions was typical legal mumbo jumbo and cowardice, there is little doubt the "yutes" were involved in the crimes, if not all charges. Those involved with the case stand by the guilt of the accused.

As to Burns and his tunnel vision, from Wikipedia --

"On September 12, 2012, attorneys for New York City subpoenaed the production company for access to the original footage in connection with its defense of the federal lawsuit brought by some of the convicted youths against the city.Celeste Koeleveld, the city´s executive assistant corporation counsel for public safety, justified the subpoena on the grounds that the film had, in the words of The New York Times, ´crossed the line from journalism to advocacy´ for the wrongly convicted men."

Crossing the line from journalism to advocacy? Really?!

I can´t stand to even look at Ken Burns he such a pansie. The Cival War was excellent, but as a previous poster noted alot of that was due to Mr Foote´s well informed commentary and the quotations from letters written by the participants, which show people really knew how to write well in those days.

I tried to watch a couple of his other documentaries and gave up. They all follow the exact same formula as the Civil War used but the quality of the commentators and the quotations just don´t measure up. Frankly everything he has done since has sucked.

I enjoyed Burns´ Civil War. And indeed, Foote made the show along with that haunting music, ´Ashokan Farewell´.

He lost me when he referred to Jackson as a ´pious, blue-eyed killer´. A killer? I guess if you mean a killer as someone who orders men into batlle but all the generals on both sides did the same.

He was certainly a religious man but I fail to see what that and his eye color have to do with the war. I think Burns just wanted to take a cheap shot and did so.

The White House took steps Friday toward issuing methane emissions regulations at hydraulic fracturing sites, a move that would slash greenhouse gas emissions in hopes of meeting President Obama´s climate goals but will invite backlash from industry. The news is a victory for environmental groups, which note that methane -- a short-lived, potent greenhouse gas that has a 20 times greater impact on climate change than carbon dioxide -- is the largest remaining unregulated greenhouse gas, accounting for 9 percent of U.S. emissions. The oil and gas industry, however, has warned that regulating methane emissions would stunt domestic energy production by raising

When Jorge Mario Bergoglio became Pope Francis a little more than a year ago, the first thing that struck those who knew him well was his unexpected, beatific smile. “In Argentina, he didn’t smile like that,” Sergio Rubin, the pope’s biographer, said this week at a conference sponsored by the Ethics and Public Policy Center. “That was the big surprise.” Since then, the pope has mostly kept on smiling — in homilies, in audiences, in meetings with the homeless and the poor. If you look at the pictures from Francis’ meeting with President Obama on Thursday, though, the smile is there only some of the time.

More than six million Americans have now signed up for private insurance under the Affordable Care Act, according to the White House, with just four days to go until the end of its first open enrollment period. While traveling in Italy on Thursday, President Obama shared the news in a conference call with thousands of health-care navigators and volunteers helping enroll people on state and federal marketplaces. As the volume of consumers seeking health plans has surged -- there were over 1.5 million visits to HealthCare.gov Wednesday and more than 430,000 calls to the marketplaces´ call centers -- Obama urged those on

Usually the type of Republicans MSNBC hosts invite on their shows are either craven RINO types who can be depended upon to trash talk fellow Republicans, or the more inarticulate, dimmer bulbs in the party who fail to communicate conservative positions effectively. MSNBC host Chris Hayes had an entirely different type of animal on his hands with PA Americans For Prosperity Director, Jennifer Stefano. In fact, he´s probably still licking his wounds after the nasty confrontation he had with her, Wednesday night in a debate over the latest ObamaCare delay. He got off on the wrong foot by introducing Stefano

President Obama marveled at the sheer size of the Colosseum during a private sightseeing tour Thursday night in Rome. "This is bigger than some current baseball stadiums," Obama told reporters, noting the size exceeded Wrigley Field in his hometown of Chicago. "I have to check on what it seats. It´s remarkable. Unbelievable." The amphitheatre, located in central Rome, was constructed between 70 and 80 A.D., and was estimated to hold between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators. The Colosseum was home to gladiator battles and animal hunts during the Roman Empire. Obama walked along a platform running through the center of the

President Obama said Pope Francis did not raise Obamacare “in detail” when they met on Thursday, but that in a separate meeting with the Vatican’s secretary of state “we discussed briefly the issue of making sure that conscience and religious freedom was observed in the context of applying the law.” At a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, Obama also acknowledged that he differs with the Vatican’s stance on some issues, but added that he “heartily” agrees with most of its positions. During his nearly hour-long papal audience, Obama said Pope Francis “actually did not touch in
