However, as above poster, I suspect that Syria is a "no-win" situation for any diplomat who comes from a democratic country. Whether to continue to support a dictator who slaughters [possibly with chemical weapons] his own people, or the opposition that is made up of al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations.

Either way, wouldn´t look good on PIAPS resume. She would have been smart to send Susan Rice, as a test run for her ambition to be the next Secretary of State.

Maybe Hillary has a rip roaring case of the loose poops, but there is room to wonder if she is not taking a pass at recognizing a Syrian rebel faction, as in the last few days there have been stories in the foreign press that most of those Syrian rebel groups are aligning themselves with an Islamic anti-American al Qaeda organization that is operating in rebel held parts of Syria.

Hillary can´t personally publicly recognize such aligned Islamist groups if she intends to run for President in 2016. She will skip out of anything if the result will tend to be adverse to her politically, that´s probably why Susan Rice was sent to the Sunday TV talk shows to blow hot air at the American public concerning the al-Qaeda linked Banghazi attack.
