Karl Rove is a class act and without peer when it comes to intelligence and contribution to a rapidly rotting TV channel. I not only strongly support him, the only time I´ll tune in to a Fox program is if I stumble on info that tells me he´ll be on. When he finishes, I tune out immediately.

Incidentally, if Ailes and FOX they finish off Karl Rove, any remaining interest...and there is very little remaining...to tune in FOX will be gone for good. I´ve already reached the point where I only listen to Bret Baier and I also tune him out if Juan Williams, Kristen, Mara, and the other super lefties are on the panel. That´s it. My lack of interest/respect in FOX only intensified when I read about Ailes decision governing Karl Rove. Who in the world does he/they they think they are?

After this past election, I determined there IS a list of racially charged "code words."

We all need to get a copy and avoid using any of those words.

Way back in 1988 I was pretty liberal politically. At the time, and now, I never saw Willie Horton as a racist ad unless facts are racist (they aren´t). At the time, I cringed when I saw the ad because I knew it was effective. If the perpetrator had been a grungy tattooed caucasian biker it would have been effective too. That just isn´t who Willie Horton happened to be.

If you don´t want facts used against you, you should prevent the facts from becoming facts. Screaming racism when YOU (Dukakis in this case) gave the other side the facts they needed is something only emotionally emasculated people do.

Had my then-current preference prevailed, it´s likely that Kuwait would be a part of Iraq today, Saddam Hussein´s Iraq would be competing with Iran for nuclear weapons, and Bin Laden would have come up with a different excuse for September 11 but it or something like it still would have happened.

I´m glad that my voting preference in 1988 wasn´t what prevailed, so I´m glad for the Willie Horton ads.

So, yeah, maybe his picture is skeevy, but the story is true. And a picture of a nasty looking *insert other race here* would have been just as effective.
