The moment Obama shook hands with
the rapper who sang ´kill those f******
Yankees´: Outrage as Gangnam sensation Psy
performs for President at charity concert

Daily Mail [UK], by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:Attercliffe, 12/10/2012 3:27:25 AM

President Barack Obama has been pictured shaking hands with a South Korean rapper who sang about wanting to kill American soldiers. PSY, born Park Jae-sang, performed at a White House charity event on Sunday, despite a deeply controversial performance in 2004 that has shocked and outraged American fans. The rapper showed off his signature dance moves while performing ´Gangnam Style,´ which has the most watched YouTube video in history. PSY owes his popularity to his Korean pop hit taking hold among tens of millions of American fans. However, countless fans were offended by the lyrics from an anti-American protest

Comments:
Dunno about you but I´m out of words for describing Obama´s actions.

If Obama thinks that Americans serving in the military, particularly in war zones, don´t know about this, he needs to have another think. In turbulent times such as these, a Commander in Chief doesn´t need to be relying on service members who could turn against him. With each passing day Obama proves himself to be dumber and dumber.

I have stopped getting my blood pressure up over the actions (and inaction´s) of this president, his administration and the Good Old Boy politicians. I am but one person and I can´t fight the hordes of minions that have nothing in common with me. I will live my life the best I can and hope my children have a country that they can love is still around when I am gone.

Obama´s more interested in being a celebrity cult president than standing up for American ideals. He agrees with anti-Americanism so of course he was glad to shake this guys hand.

The only behavior that offends Obama is stubborn republicans not rolling over for him.

Psy asked repeatedly that his apology be accepted, spoke of his remorse for words spoken years ago, and stated that he would regret those words the rest of his life.

Give it a rest. When they asked to be forgiven in a plausible fashion...we are supposed to forgive. It´s in the Book.

I´m with 5 on this one. I hate what he said, and i know first hand what Americans have done for S Korea, but if we have become so cynical that a repeated apology for the actions of stupid young person who buys into stupid media lies does nothing for us, we are the ones who have lost.

He is nothing but a punk apology or not. The Nation´s house deserves better. So very low class.

I´ll accept his apology. But I wonder if the chattering classes would accept and defend him if he made a song with the lyrics ´kill those f****** f*gs´?

I think not.

Anyway, Psy is a passing fad, I don´t think he will last past the new year. Anyway, Monty Python did the riding the invisible horse moves long before Psy did.

Look at the bright side: Obama only shook his hand -- at least he didn´t bow down to him.

#5 and #6, it´s one thing to accept the man´s apology, it´s another to honor him with a performance at the White House.

The sad thing is, is that it is not just obama who has such hatred for this country and our military. It is the majority of voters who hold the same views.

#13 is right.

PSY said something incredibly stupid and he has apologized. Fine

Psy still needs to be held accountable for his words! Come on.

This society allows for anyone to do/say anything then apologize and it´s all forgotten.
No accountability, no responsibility left in our world. I should check to see if those 2 words are still in the dictionary.

There ya go #13. You are exactly right. For the Commander in Chief to do this is an affront and also VERY foolish....but that is completely in character.

Reply 17 - Posted by: Rinktum, 12/10/2012 7:35:49 AM     (No. 9057310)

Bingo #13. Spot on.

Time to let these foreign countries do without American defense and dollars. The government believes it is entitled to more of our hard earned money so it can GIVE it away to nations that hate us. Look at the Middle East. We are the biggest enabler of terrorism on the planet. The United States needs an intervention. We are clearly suicidal.

A little off topic.

Anybody watch the Army/Navy game Saturday? The VP shows up for the game and sits on one side of the field. Then at halftime tradition has him walking across the field to side with the other team. When this happend the boos from the crowd would have embarresed a normal man, but Joe just painted on that stupid grin of his.

It´s because I can´t take much more. My mind is on overload, and circuits are in danger.

Nothing this president does should surprise US. He´s out for REVENGE every chance he gets. This "in you face" to Korean conflict soldiers and sailors who risked their lives for Psy´s posterior is just the latest example of his comtempt for Americans....

Can you imagine his life and his family´s life if North Korea had taken over South Korea? He´d be a lot thinnnnner...

i have no doubt psy regrets saying it, but i am 100% certain he still thinks that way. has he sacrified to atone for it? and if he made a sacrifice now, it would only be a belated attempt to appear contrite.

obama hocked up and spat square in the face all who have ever served the nation, living and dead. i would call him traitor, but he is a hostile alien to this nation.

tens of millions of people, at least, are suffering the curse of this scum.

I´m with you #24. Sixty years ago a dear friend of mine and my brothers, was killed in Korea. I was 17. I remember his sister and her husband coming to our house to tell my mother and father. Both my parents reacted like he was one of their own children. Our house went into mourning for him. (His parents were passed).
For this guy Obama to shake the hand of a korean rapper who sang ´kill those f****** Yankees´, shows that BHO has no discretion nor sense of patriotism for this country or out soldiers who died giving south korea its freedom. Shame on him and all who were there with him.

Those who think this man offered a sincere apology and that it is churlish not to forgive him should read the exact words of the statement released by his publicist.

What, exactly, did he apologize for? Did he disavow the violent, hateful lyrics and their anti-Americanism? Did he clarify them? Did he say that such beliefs and assertions were false? That torturing and murdering the families, including the in-laws of American personnel is a monstrous, misguided, evil fantasy?

No. The so-called apology contained none of the above. It was an apology for saying something that could have hurt somebody´s feelings or offended them, that´s all.

"While I´m grateful for the freedom to express one´s self, I´ve learned there are limits to what language is appropriate and I´m deeply sorry for how these lyrics could be interpreted. I will forever be sorry for any pain I have caused by those words.

"While it´s important that we express our opinions, I deeply regret the inflammatory and inappropriate language I used to do so."

Note the qualification: "I´m deeply sorry for how those lyrics could be interpreted." This is tantamount to saying he is sorry if people took his words the wrong way and were offended by their misunderstanding of what he actually meant.

From an intellectual point of view, and possibly also a moral one, this so-called "apology" could be considered a more egregious offense than the ignorant, violent, vile and vulgar "lyrics" themselves.

We project ignorance, folly, and weakness to the world.

I agree with those who think like #3, #13, etc.

Nothing like having over another America hater. If you hate America, you´re in the club. Most former patriotic presidents would not even consider associating with an America hater, let alone having one over for a shin dig/shake hands. Apology NOT accepted. Hey let´s just pull our American troops in S. Korea and see if psy & co mock us then.

I chuckle inside whenever some media reporter refers to Obama as "The President". They should call him piggy because such a title of "T.P." is like lipstick on a pig. Obama is nothing more than an agent saboteur. Seems like he´s prepping the U.S. for an ambush attack by another country.

My parish priest, the associate rector, went to Korea as Chaplain. and there he was just with a driver and his Communion ensemble and some robes and formal cap. They were driving the front-lines, ministering to the wounded and to the dead.
for almost 3 yrs.
To me an american and an american hero. And his commanding officer thought so too. And wanted to put him in for a commendation.
In a war-zone, front lines, no side-arm even. But he said no, thre were many more deserving than he was.
Enough said. But will Obama do after say 20 yrs as President(if he gets the 22nd amendment cancelled) Where will the go, Who will have him has Prime Minister or Head-of-State?

0bamm is ridiculous and derogatory to all of us.

If you want to apologize and be believed, you have to do certain things.
1. Say you were wrong.
2. Say specifically how you were wrong.
3. Say that you were obviously stupid or under the influence.
4. Say that you would NEVER do it again as you have grown up or gone to AA.
5. Offer to make retribution of some kind.
6. Repeat as often as necessary until believable.

Although, asking people to kill US soldiers and their wives and children and parents is not something
that can be excused. IMHO.
But, when the Commander in Chief ,
when we are still at war , legitimizes the guy -that´s an insult and an affront to all Americans.
Well ...maybe not all Americans , but , it is an affront and an insult to 60 million of us , for sure.
It obviously wasn´t an affront to the Commander in Chief.
We are still having flag draped coffins returning to Dover AFB on almost a daily basis.
We lost another SEAL yesterday rescuing the doctor from the Taliban in Afghanistan.
This is disgusting and insulting and typical behavior from Obama.
Imagine if George Bush attended a concert
and then shook hands with someone who asked that blacks and their family members be killed.

The article says Charity Concert. Was this not supposed to be the Christmas program? If so, I wonder if Christ was even mentioned. Obama claims to be a Christian, yet he disavows everything Jesus proclaimed to be, also denies others the opportunities to stand up for their faith in the only true God, Jesus Christ, our Lord/Savior.

One time we as Americans celebrated Him and taught our children to follow in our footsteps. Today we malign anyone who professes faith in Jesus. The anti-Christ spirit is visible in the lives of those in power today. Pray for America! God will again shine down upon US when we confess our sinfulness, align ourselves with His Son, born into this world to save US, one day to be with Him forever in His everlasting Kingdom where there will be no more war for the Prince of Peace will rule/reign and we will know the Joy of the Lord forevermore.

Pray for Obama, that he sees the Light of the world and comes to know in Whom all power comes from. He will be judged one day, as will all of US, pray for the Lord of the Harvest, bringing US together, united in Him. Amen

This rapper is a moron, as historical fact establishes that if it were not for the 28,000 American servicemen who died fighting the Chinese and the North Koreans during the largely forgotten Korean War (1950-53), that the only dances and songs that he would be performing would be Communist anthems and the like, if he was not spending his life in some gulag.

You can bet that if you met Obama and off the cuff asked him about all that, he would not have a clue as to what you were talking about, and neither would most of the millions of Americans who voted for Obama last month.

Reply 64 - Posted by: Teleologicus, 12/10/2012 12:35:02 PM     (No. 9057820)

He did not apologize for WHAT he said but HOW and WHERE he said it. He said he was sorry if some people were offended by a possible "interpretation" of the lyrics. He said it is important to express one´s opinions -though just why the opinion of a low-life like him is important to express is unclear- but that he used the wrong language.

I do not agree, not at all, with those who say that this pseudo-apology should end the matter, and I am sorry to find that for some people it apparently does. It is certainly questionable whether a genuine apology, one that explicitly renounced the barbaric homicidal sentiments he sang(?) would be adequate, given the extremely grave nature of such language - but he did not even offer a real apology. And of course that such an individual such be received as an honored guest and allowed to perform at the White House is a disgrace.

Rap "music" is antisocial trash whose rhythms provoke aggression and sex. The viral video everyone is talking about is just a collage of clips containing nothing but the usual egocentric boasting, sexual images and gyrations, and sex talk. It is admittedly mild enough compared to the obscene and pornographic antisocial rubbish pushed on American teenagers by domestic rap producers. There is nothing elevating, edifying, or healthy about such sewage, the majority of which is purchased by white teenagers. All art, wrote John Ruskin, is either instruction or infection. Rap is not instruction. No rapper belongs at a White House ceremony; this rapper belongs there less than most. This is not a small thing. It is a big thing. Accepting such behavior defines deviance down another step on the slippery slope.

Once upon a time, entertainers, even comedians, invited to The White House, whether to perform or be honored in some manner, knew enough to maintain a certain level of standards and decorum above and beyond reproach. Sadly, during our current and soon to be extended nightmare of an administration, such is no longer the case.

Here is the full apology, copied from MTV News:
"As a proud South Korean who was educated in the United States and lived there for a very significant part of my life, I understand the sacrifices American servicemen and women have made to protect freedom and democracy in my country and around the world. The song I was featured in -- from eight years ago -- was part of a deeply emotional reaction to the war in Iraq and the killing of two innocent Korean civilians that was part of the overall antiwar sentiment shared by others around the world at that time," the statement read. "While I´m grateful for the freedom to express one´s self I´ve learned there are limits to what language is appropriate and I´m deeply sorry for how these lyrics could be interpreted. I will forever be sorry for any pain I have caused anyone by those words."

"While it´s important we express our opinions, I deeply regret the inflammatory and inappropriate language I used to do so. In my music I try to give people a release, a reason to smile. I have learned that though music, our universal language we can all come together as a culture of humanity and I hope that you will accept my apology."

Agree with all who say his apology was one of convenience, as are most apologies like this. He´s not sorry he said it, he´s sorry he got caught. No American, president or ordinary citizen, should attend one of this joker´s performances. South Korea would not be what it is today if not for Americans who fought, froze, and died there.

President Obama is a disgrace and a coward. Genghazi he gave the order to stand down , no one else has the authority to give such a command . This gave the death sentence to the 4 Heroes defending the consulate compound. Even Panetta incorrectly stated that we did not have the troops and time to deploy aid to the Ambassador and his 3 colleagues.Obama shaking hands with this sick Rapper shows what is in Obama´s brain. God help us if there is a conflagation with any near or far east country particularly Iran. There is a sizeable US force still in South Korea estimates ROK-US agreed level 28,500.Particularly distasteful and out of touch with reality is the Presidents greeting this foul mouthed rapper and it´s a swipe in the face to our Army ,Navy and Marines stationed in South Korea.Better that Obama remind this rapper the troops are there to prevent South Korea being obliterated from a North Korean Nuclear tipped Test Missile.

Yikes...

Again...forgiveness is commanded by Christ especially when its requested humbly.

When did you ever do something in your twenties you regretted in your thirties?

When did you ever apologize for something...when it came to light?

Finally, the definition of forgiveness is treating the wrongdoer as if he didn´t do it. The other versions of forgiveness are not something you would give to a friend.

I´ll sign off now.

I left the service in 2011 after 5 years and two combat deployments. I began my service under a Commander-in-Chief who, while not perfect by any means, always displayed the utmost of genuine love and warmth for we who wore the uniform. I finished my service feeling discarded and disrespected. Those feelings make their ways from the Pentagon down through the senior officer ranks and the NCO support channels. Class tells to those of us who served. Obama is a Commander in Chief with NO class.

Hundreds took to the streets as macabre ‘Thatcher death parties’ were held late into the night across the country, organised by critics of the ´Iron Lady.´ Smashed shop windows, paint bombs and police being attacked were all consequences of the Left´s sick ´celebration´ of Baroness Thatcher´s death. In Brixton, south London, riot police were deployed as the crowds, which had been drinking since 5pm, started to become more aggressive smashing shop fronts and throwing paint bomb. In Liverpool, flares and fireworks were set off outside Lime Street Station by revellers, while in Bristol, seven police officers were injured--one seriously--as violence
