No community programs
at ´Ground Zero´ mosque
a year after the controversy

New York Post, by Isabel Vincent & Melissa Klein

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 12/9/2012 4:32:20 PM

It’s all pray and no play. The Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero that opened with great fanfare a year ago is now an empty space with no community programs. And while the developers behind Park51 insisted for two years that the project was more than a mosque, it now appears to be just that. Dozens of worshipers gather at the site on Park Place Friday for prayer services — but that’s the only activity in the building. Gone are the Arabic classes, workshops in calligraphy, talks on the genealogy of Muslims in America, film screenings and art exhibits.

Bet Islamic cultural centers are popular in Islamic countries.

Perfect place for a Gay Lesbian Transgender parade. Just walk around the block 6 or 7 times and invite the Muslims to come out and join the parade. Welcome them to the neighborhood with Bar B Q pork sandwiches and a good cold beer.

We never gave them authority to acquiesce in our colonization.

Had enough?

I recall reading that he is involved in some shady property transactions in New Jersy. I have a suspicion that the symbolism of the ground zero mosque was important to the mooslims as well as to president zero, and that the expectation was that some federal/state/foundation money would wind up in his pockets.
And now he might want to move the mosque to NJ, where the fat bast*rd governor has an unholy affection for muslims.

Muslim "community programs" usually are covert, and aimed at murdering hundreds, if not thousands, of innocents.

Give them time. They´ll come up with something.

And then we´ll see an employment increase at the FBI´s counter-terrorism units.

Hooray for, uh, "diversity."

There is a nice little bar next door - and it serves pork!

Now, a year ago, I looked up their tax status, and found they were delinquent on their real estate tax.

I called the whole thing a real estate scam - the owners had bought a White Elephant property, and were trying to gin up an outrage, until somebody offered them more money than they paid for the property.

Didn´t happen. They still don´t have a pot to P in but they do have the window to throw it out of.

It was a scam, and a scam that failed.

Boston firefighters gathered Thursday at Logan Airport to meet the family of a fallen comrade in an emotional show of respect and gratitude. Massachusetts Port Authority Fire Department members waited silently outside the gate of a flight escorting Lt. Edward Walsh’s mother. He was one of two firefighters who died earlier in the week while trying to tame a blaze in the city’s Back Bay neighborhood. The picture was taken by Max Widmer as he waited to board his plane and the firemen waited for the JetBlue flight that carried her to Beantown free of charge, according to WCVB.

AUSTIN - The dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Monument at the Texas Capitol on Saturday highlighted the pain, pride and solidarity of those who served in an unpopular conflict. "They fought, they bled, all too often they died for their country. When they came home, there wasn´t any parades. There weren´t any picnics. Instead they were treated with indifference or, even worse, with outright scorn," said Gov. Rick Perry. Perry said the bronze sculpture of an infantry patrol, unveiled before a throng of veterans, will "stand as a declaration that in Texas, we understand how blessed we are to have

The Clinton Library took the wraps off another batch of White House documents Friday afternoon, offering new insights into how aides scrambled to address the Monica Lewinsky scandal, how the hot-button issue of race tied the White House staff up in knots and how former President Bill Clinton cast a wide net for advice in advance of his major speeches. The new set of Clinton documents make little mention of then-first lady Hillary Clinton, and so are unlikely to have a major political impact. However, many of the memos were written by or mention aides to Bill Clinton who now

As part of its plan to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, the Obama administration is targeting the dairy industry to reduce methane emissions in their operations. This comes despite falling methane emission levels across the economy since 1990. The White House has proposed cutting methane emissions from the dairy industry by 25 percent by 2020. Although U.S. agriculture only accounts for about 9 percent of the country’s greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, it makes up a sizeable portion of methane emissions — which is a very potent greenhouse gas.
