Obama´s Fiscal Cliff
and the Chicago Way

Breitbart´s Big Government, by Alfred S. Regnery

Original Article

Posted By:Dreadnought, 12/9/2012 9:47:22 AM

A friend from Chicago, involved in Illinois politics who has known Obama since his early days in the Illinois State Senate, told me that two things that trump everything else in Obama’s mind: redistributing the wealth and empowering labor unions. Look at everything the President does, my friend says, and you will find one or the other lurking in the background. My friend’s analysis may explain a lot about the current state of affairs concerning the standoff over the so-called fiscal cliff and Obama’s refusal to abandon the idea that he must raise taxes on the rich.

Why doesn´t he be a poster child and redistribute HIS wealth, instead of keeping it within the family?

Humbly offered:

1. The House unilaterally and without ado approves an increase to the debt limit, but at a number that is only a certain percentage of that requested by His Excellency, to cover the U.S. government needs for a limited period, as specified and calculated below:

2. Importantly, the House Bill must require that the money thereby raised be allocated to specific programs only, so as to cover (in conjunction with revenues otherwise available) only the following priorities:

A. First Priority - Service of the national debt (thus knocking out completely the foundation of the specious 14th Amendment ploy of Obama.)

B. Second Priority - Allocate the balance:
(1). To defined (in specific amounts) "essential services" of government.
(2). To defined (in specific amounts) "essential" third-party expenditures - eg. allocated to "essential" entitlement programs or parts thereof etc., as the House deems appropriate.

3. Then put a ribbon around it and send it over to Harry and his Pranksters at the Senate, while offering to negotiate in good faith spending cuts to maintain a reduced deficit. "Let´s negotiate Harry; we already sent you a proposed budget, how about you send us yours back? How can we negotiate without each of us having an overall budget in mind?"

Result - The Country can sleep soundly (as it usually does), unless the Democrats are the ones who don´t follow through, and thereby jeopardize the availability of funds; then blame the Democrats

Good points #2 but when the MSM reports that the GOP is just stalling to avoid much needed tax hikes on the rich, what then?

Another purpose of fiscal cliff maddness is to give the Delusional One another "ditch". After 4 years of blaming Bush for driving us into the ditch, Obama needs another excuse to explain why he hasn´t driven us out of it. So, he is shifting his blame game to the generic Bush, the Republican Party. Country entered recession in October - Repubs fault. Housing prices and home sales fall - blame Repubs. Unemployment benefits not extended - blame GOP. Name the failure caused by Obama´s socialist policies and the answer will be Republican obstructionism and this all white party´s hatred of women, blacks, Hispanics, gays, mimes and late night comedians.

Listlessness is bad politics. Defensiveness is poor strategy. And resignation is never inspiring. You can feel elements of all three descending around President Obama as he fends off attack after attack from his conservative foes, who vary the subject depending on the day, the circumstance and the opportunity. This sense of drift inspired an explosion over the weekend of disparaging commentary (some of it coming, usually anonymously, from Democrats) about the president’s political infirmities. Obama and his party are in danger of allowing the Republicans to set the terms of the 2014 elections, just as they did four years ago.

Perhaps there is some true justice in the revelation today that Barack Obama, apologist to the world for American greatness, has just given a huge part of that scientific and engineering eminence to a world body that has no legal claim to all that which has come from America’s technological genius. Yes, Silicon Valley, it’s true, your messiah is telling you, “You didn’t build that.” How does it feel to have your legs cut from beneath you by this global leveler who has no regard for the huge amount of endeavor and intellect that has gone into this world-changing technology

Dems Panicked about 2014

There is growing panic among Democrats in Congress about the 2014 elections, and it is based on numerous factors that give them serious anxiety. In the Senate, Democrat Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire just found out that she will be challenged by former Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts, who has received $600,000 from the Super-Pac American Crossroads, and Democrat Senator Mark Udall of Colorado is now being challenged by Rep. Cory Gardner, a serious threat. In the House, the GOP just won a significant victory in a special election in Florida’s 13th district, which Barack Obama won decisively in 2012.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia—Malaysia´s prime minister said he believes that "deliberate action" caused the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines 3786.KU +2.13% Flight 370, and authorities are now focusing on two areas in the search for the plane. In the first definitive comments from the nation´s government on how the jet came to vanish March 8, Najib Razak said at a news conference Saturday that data relayed by the plane to a satellite has confirmed it turned from its original course. He added that the last satellite communication from the plane was at 8:11 a.m. Malaysia time, well past the scheduled arrival time

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Investigators have concluded that one or more people with significant flying experience hijacked the missing Malaysia Airlines jet, switched off communication devices and steered it off-course, a Malaysian government official involved in the investigation said Saturday. No motive has been established and no demands have been made known, and it is not yet clear where the plane was taken, said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief the media. The official said that hijacking was no longer a theory. "It is conclusive," he said. He said evidence

Someone who is determined to disbelieve something can manage to disregard an Everest of evidence for it. So Barack Obama will not temper his enthusiasm for increased equality with lucidity about the government’s role in exacerbating inequality. In the movie “Animal House,” Otter, incensed by the expulsion of his fraternity, says: “I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture.” Such thinking gives us minimum-wage increases that do very little for very few. Meanwhile, there are farm bills, like the one Obama signed last month at Michigan State University. MSU was one of the models for

A week into the fruitless search for a missing Malaysian airliner, the focus returned to the possibility that a rogue pilot or hijackers took command of the plane as it flew north over the sea toward Beijing. That fear hinged on the erratic behavior of the plane after it stopped sending radar signals and an indisputable fact: Despite an exhaustive search of the waters that straddle Malaysia and farther into the Indian Ocean, no trace of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 has been found. “It’s looking less and less like an accident,” said a U.S. official who spoke on the

Special operators involved in the mission to take out Osama bin Laden say the reason photos of his body weren´t released is because they would have shown a body riddled with bullet holes. Carried in a report published by the Daily Mail, "the report from a website well known within the intelligence and armed services community claims that the sheer number of times Osama bin Laden was shot is the reason why the government never released photos." The bizarre movement to “ban” the word “bossy” because it allegedly stigmatizes girls struck many people as ridiculous. But on consideration, it is something far more sophisticated and sinister than mere feminist hyperventilating. Hillary Clinton faces an image problem, and the deep thinkers on her propaganda team know it. In a debate during the 2008 primary campaign, Barack Obama alluded to it when he called her “likable enough,” a backhanded compliment/slap that stung. In case you hadn’t heard, young people these days — a.k.a “the Millennials” — are the most cynical and distrusting generation ever recorded. Only 19 percent think most people can be trusted. According to a big study from the Pew Research Center, they are less attached to marriage, religion, and political institutions than Gen Xers, Baby Boomers, and the other demographic flavors journalists love to use. They like their friends, their digital “social networks,” and their toys, and that’s about it. The president of the Los Angeles World Affairs Council challenges critics of President Obama’s Ukraine policy by saying, “What are you going to do, send the 101st Airborne into Crimea?” Not exactly subtle. And rather silly, considering that no one has proposed such a thing. The alternative to passivity is not war but a serious foreign policy. For the past five years, Obama’s fruitless accommodationism has invited the kind of aggressiveness demonstrated by Iran in Syria, China in the East China Sea and Russia in Ukraine. But what’s done is done. Put that aside. What is to be done now?

Police are investigating the possibility that the pilot of missing Flight MH370 hijacked his own aircraft in a bizarre political protest. The Mail on Sunday has learned that Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah was an ‘obsessive’ supporter of Malaysia’s opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim. And hours before the doomed flight left Kuala Lumpur it is understood 53-year-old Shah attended a controversial trial in which Ibrahim was jailed for five years. Campaigners say the politician, the key challenger to Malaysia’s ruling party, was the victim of a long-running smear campaign and had faced trumped-up charges. Police sources have confirmed that Shah was a vocal political activist

By now it’s settled on most people, including Democrats, that the loss of Alex Sink to David Jolly in Florida’s 13th Congressional District was, in the words of the New York Times, “devastating” to Democrats. It’s a district Ms. Sink carried in her unsuccessful race for governor against Rick Scott, a district that Barack Obama carried in his two elections, and a district that demographically now favors Democrats. In addition, Ms. Sink raised more money and ran a better campaign than Jolly. Even Bill Clinton lent his efforts to her campaign. And yet she lost. What should particularly alarm Democrats is
