SUSSEX COUNTY — A longtime opponent of New Jersey’s annual bear hunt is unfit to own firearms and should undergo a mental health evaluation because of her numerous run-ins involving her anti-hunt activities, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office. Susan Kehoe has been charged seven times with harassment, twice with violating state Fish & Game regulations, once with disorderly conduct, and was convicted of resisting arrest and interfering with state conservation officers, the prosecutor’s office says. "In addition to the formal charges, Ms. Kehoe has been involved in numerous incidents where her behavior is questionable
Comments: In one of the last remaining sane portions of NJ (ie Sussex County where the third world invasion has yet to engulf) the local authorities have seen fit to to keep guns away from a derranged leftist. It has become an annual rite in NJ when bear season begins and psychotic "animal rights" leftoids come out of the woodwork to seek the attention they never got from mommy & daddy during their formative years. Many of them are more dangerous than the bears. Liberalism is a mental disease and this ding-bat should be stripped of all firearms.
Well this one´s a no brainer...IF all she wants to do is sell the guns, then sell them and let someone else with a card transport them. Once again, that´s a big IF.

She doesn´t need the card. As #1 said, just call a dealer and he/she will come and get the firearms. Problem solved. Me thinks this is just another way of this animal rights wacko to get attention. Get a life lady.
I really hate doing this. The Second Amendment says nothing about the rights of looney left PETA types being able to be infringed. It says the right of the people shall not be infringed. I guess that means that unless she is deemed to be certifiably insane or a convicted felon, she, like all the rest of us has the right to bear arms - as much as I disagree with her politics, lifestyle and probably everything else. If the DA can prove that she is about to go off the rails, then have her committed.

I think the hunters are loony - take away their guns. And so it goes.
I hate to defend the loony left, but unless this person has demonstrated behaviour such as brandishing weapons in a threatening manner, etc., she should not be subjected to this. After all, what happens to the goose can also happen to the gander.
We have a law in Michigan named for some loon( the name escapes me intentionally) such as this one who harrassed hunters by crashing through their hunting grounds banging pots and pans. She got away with it a lot longer than the should have and was lucky there were no ´accidents´.Her actions undoubtedly prevented some ,if not all such nitwittery since. As is the case with most liberals ,her efforts failed but she got to feel superior and powerful while doing it.
Animal lovers prefer a long, horrible, death for the animals they love. They would rather see them eaten alive or die of starvation. Nature is unforgiving. It is a struggle to survive even in good years and the end is usually awful. Our use of tools and information make us the top of the food chain. We should handle that position responsibly. Good hunters know how to do that.
I have to agree with those who oppose this move. While she has done many objectionable things, the only question is whether or not her conviction for resisting arrest in 2010 rises to the level of barring her from getting the permit. She should not be subject to a psychiatric evaluation any more than anyone else. Nothing in any of the incidents indicates that she has a propensity to misuse firearms.
Nope, sorry, tough call: screwballs on both sides here. Yeah, she´s a looney-left nut job, but what part of "shall not be infringed" does New Jersey not understand?
We´re not talking about a concealed carry license here (of course not -- this is New Jersey), but rather the simple right even to possess a firearm. Unless she´s a felon or has been involuntarily committed to a mental hospital, there´s no way the State should forbid her.
++++ Propaganda Alert ! ++++ This does not pass the sniff test; This is a set up by the anti-gun freaks. More likely, a compliant judge will remove her card... therefore setting a precedent to revoking licenses based on whacko claims.
The Obozo WH is also attempting to categorize all retiring military personnel be classified as mentally damaged & therefore unfit to own arms.... this looks like an attempt to justify it.
ISLAMABAD,: A suicide bomber was killed by security guards while trying to blow himself up at Ali Masjid in Barakahu on Friday. According to an Islamabad police spokesman, the security guard spotted the suicide bomber at the entrance of the Masjid and shot him dead instantly. He said the bomber started firing indiscriminately as he wanted to enter the mosque, where people were leaving after offering Friday prayers. The guard Ameen Hussain Shah, who was injured in the firing, later died at Government Polyclinic Hospital. Police officials arrived on the scene and cordoned off the area around the mosque.
America´s foreign policy has gone into a tailspin. Almost every major initiative from the Obama administration has run into sharp, sometimes embarrassing, reverses. The U.S. looks weak and confused on the global stage. This might come as happy news to some opponents of the administration who enjoy seeing Barack Obama fail, but it shouldn´t. America´s failure in international strategy is a disaster-in-the-making for its allies and for the people who see the U.S. model of liberal democracy as one worth emulating in their own nations.
George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer acquitted in the murder of unarmed black Florida teen Trayvon Martin, sought to buy a bulletproof vest and a home-security system while out on $1 million bond, according to records released Thursday. The Seminole County, Fla., Sheriff´s Office released a 57-page log obtained by USA TODAY that recorded Zimmerman´s activity last year and this year while he was connected to a GPS system via ankle monitor. Zimmerman was court-ordered to GPS monitoring as a condition of his pre-trial release, said Kim Cannaday, public information officer of the Seminole County Sheriff´s Office.
Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram on Thursday to his old sparring partner, former U.S. President George W. Bush, wishing him a quick recovery from heart surgery. It may have been coincidence that the Kremlin released details of the telegram a day after Barack Obama pulled out of a planned summit with Putin, but little is left to chance in Russian politics. The warm words to the man who once said he looked Putin in the eye and got a "sense of his soul" highlighted how different the relationship
Users have one option: Slap her for speaking. Although several women´s rights organizations have condemned the idea, an anti-Hillary super PAC has refused to remove "Slap Hillary" from their website, allowing individuals to virtually hit the former secretary of state with a click. The Hillary Project posted the clickable graphic earlier this week in which an animated Hillary Clinton stands outside the White House, and users can click "speak" or "slap," cueing a graphic hand to whack her across the face. The game had been on the internet since 2000.
WASHINGTON — Former Massachusetts lawmaker Barney Frank revealed that he doesn’t believe in God. During Friday’s appearance on HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher,” Frank, who championed the decriminalization of pot while serving in the House of Representatives, admitted to smoking marijuana and being an atheist. “You were in a fairly safe district. You were not one of those congress people who would have to worry about every little thing,” Maher said to Frank. “You could come on this show and sit next to a pot-smoking atheist and it wouldn’t bother you.”
Joe Arpaio is notoriously tough on his Tent City prisoners. And now he seems to be going Marie Antoinette on them. Over the weekend, the sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona celebrated the 20th anniversary of the controversial facility in Phoenix , giving inmates access to cake, coffee, unrestricted television, movie rentals, candy cigarettes, and copies of Good Housekeeping and Woman’s Day. According to a press release put out the by the sheriff’s office, Arpaio authorized the so-called “Retro Day” for the 1,000 inmates in the open air jail a treat.
Two Republican senators said Tuesday that they´ve personally urged the Egyptian government to release Muslim Brotherhood prisoners, after hosting meetings with top officials in Cairo as part of an Obama administration-sanctioned visit. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who is in Cairo along with Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-.S.C., made clear that the two U.S. lawmakers are representing the views of Congress and "do not speak for the White House." Still, they are among the most prominent U.S. representatives in the country this week, as a wave of international mediators tries to nudge the country´s military-backed government to resolve the standoff
DETROIT - General Motors is knocking 13 percent off the sticker price of the Chevrolet Volt electric car as it tries to keep pace with rivals in the market for plug-in vehicles.Sales of electric vehicles are rising, but they´re still only 0.2 percent of the U.S. auto market. Automakers have been forced to cut prices or offer discounted leases in order to move the vehicles off dealer lots. The automaker said Tuesday that the 2014 Volt will start at $34,995, including shipping - $5,000 less than the current model
Cairo -- U.S. Sen. John McCain says this summer´s ouster of former Egyptian President Mohamed Morsy was a coup, a description that goes against the statements so far from the Obama administration. The White House has avoided using that term for the Egyptian military´s ouster of Morsy. "We have said we share the democratic aspirations and criticism of the Morsy government that led millions of Egyptians into the streets ... . We´ve also said that the circumstances of (Morsy´s) removal was a coup," McCain told reporters in Cairo Tuesday
Former President Bill Clinton on Tuesday declined to to wade into the New York mayoral race or offer advice to Anthony Weiner. Clinton said he and Hillary have too many personal relationships in the race, noting the field of candidates is packed with former supporters from the couple’s many campaigns. "Neither Hillary or I was ever involved in the political campaign, and they understood that from the beginning," Clinton told CNN. "There are too many people running for mayor who have been my supporters, who supported her for senator, her for president." Clinton made his comments from Rwanda
A week ago Anthony Weiner’s sexting buddy Sydney Leathers told Howard Stern she was considering an offer to do a porno. Vivid Entertainment CEO Steven Hirsch then confirmed they were the ones behind the proposed deal. “We have offered Sydney several options,” he said, “but as of now no agreement has been reached. We hope to get a deal done with her soon." America, that deal is closed. Leathers has become the latest sex scandal sensation turned porn star. Vivid posted a video interview and excerpts from the porno on its website.
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie holds a narrow lead among Republicans for the party’s 2016 presidential nomination, but even more GOP voters say he’s the candidate they least want to see nominated. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that Christie earns 21% support when Republican voters are asked whom they would vote for if the party’s primary in their state were held today. Florida Senator Marco Rubio runs a close second with 18% of the GOP vote, followed by former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 16% and Kentucky Senator Rand Paul with 15% of the vote.
The owner of a shop in Zurich where US talk show host Oprah Winfrey says she encountered racism has called the incident a "misunderstanding". Winfrey, one of the world´s richest women, claimed an assistant refused to serve her in an upmarket handbag shop. She was apparently told one of the bags on display was "too expensive" for her. Shop owner Trudie Gotz told the BBC that Winfrey was "absolutely allowed" to look at the $35,000 (£22,500) bag, which was kept behind a screen. "My salesperson wanted to give her the handbag in her hand. But she didn´t want
Barack Obama delivered one gaffe after another in his August 6 interview with Jay Leno, but the networks that usually mock every mistake or slip of the tongue made by Republicans ignored the President´s verbal mishaps. ABC´s Good Morning America, CBS´s This Morning and NBC´s Today show, on Wednesday morning, all bypassed the chance to criticize Obama for: downplaying the threat of terrorism; falsely claiming Vladimir Putin once ran the KGB; placing the Atlantic coast cities of Savannah, Charleston and Jacksonville on the Gulf of Mexico; confusing the Winter Olympics with the Summer Olympics. First up, on the
Ending a war is a good thing. Killing civilians a bad thing. Deliberately targeting civilians is murder, and is never morally licit, even in pursuit of a good thing such as ending a war. The tens of thousands of Japanese non-combatants we killed 68 years ago this week with two nuclear bombs were not “collateral damage” of military strikes. They were the intended targets. We hoped that mass murder would bring the Japanese emperor to surrender. It worked, and American and Japanese soldiers’ lives were probably saved by it —
Last month we learned that Megyn Kelly was leaving her daytime anchor gig to take over a Fox News primetime slot. According to an “exclusive” Drudge Report flash this afternoon, that time slot will be 9 p.m. ET. “Superstar newswoman Megyn Kelly has landed the 9 PM slot, top sources reveal,” the Drudge Report wrote. “The shock announcement is set for later this month.” Fox’s 9 p.m. hour is currently helmed by Sean Hannity, leading to speculation over whether he could be out of a primetime gig. There are many possible outcomes from this lineup change,
In a move some claim is tantamount to social engineering, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is imposing a new rule that would allow the feds to track diversity in America’s neighborhoods and then push policies to change those it deems discriminatory. The policy is called, "Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing." It will require HUD to gather data on segregation and discrimination in every single neighborhood and try to remedy it. HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan unveiled the federal rule at the NAACP convention in July. "Unfortunately, in too many of our hardest hit communities, no matter how hard
Retired 68-year-old US Army general and former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Wesley K. Clark has won yet another esteemed decoration — he is dating 30-year-old Shauna Mei, the founder of online retailer AHAlife.com. Clark, who was married to Gertrude Kingston Clark for 45 years before filing for divorce last year, is spending time with the young New York-based entrepreneur, who graduated from MIT and worked at Goldman Sachs as an investment banker before launching her luxury e-commerce site. Clark and Mei were spotted together recently in the Hamptons,
President Obama is slated to deliver a speech later this month commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington in which Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech. Obama will deliver his speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial — the same place where King spoke 50 years ago. The Let Freedom Ring ceremony will be held Aug. 28. "It’s obviously a historic, seminal event in the country. It’s part of my generation’s formative memory and it’s a good time for us to do some reflection,"
National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden extended his 15 minutes of fame Wednesday, as headlines tied his saga to President Barack Obama’s decision to cancel a planned summit meeting in Moscow next month with Russian President Vladimir Putin. But analysts said the talk of Snowden’s role in the cancellation obscured a more basic reality: The U.S.-Russia relationship is now so frosty that it didn’t appear the two presidents would actually accomplish enough to merit such a high-profile meeting. After four years, the much-vaunted reset in U.S.-Russian relations has devolved into a chilly standoff over issues like the Kremlin’s support for Syria
Nanny State: If any question remained about the Obama White House´s appetite for running everyone´s life from Washington, it should be settled now. This administration even wants to dictate neighborhood makeup. Like your neighborhood? Don´t get used to it. The Obama Department of Housing and Urban Development might decide it wants to dictate changes. HUD is, according to Fox News, considering "a new rule that would allow the feds to track diversity in America´s neighborhoods and then push policies to change those it deems discriminatory." The proposed rule, disclosed last month by HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan at
“IQ is a metric of such dubiousness that almost no serious educational researcher uses it anymore,” the Guardian’s Ana Marie Cox wrote back in May. It was a breathtakingly ignorant statement. Psychologist Jelte Wicherts noted in response that a search for “IQ test” in Google’s academic database yielded more than 10,000 hits — just for the year 2013. (Snip) There is a large discrepancy between what educated laypeople believe about cognitive science and what experts actually know. Journalists are steeped in the lay wisdom, so they are repeatedly surprised when someone forthrightly discusses the real science of mental ability.
You can get a deconstruction of the media at many places. The people who visit the Treehouse want to see the entire context; The entire truth, as it presents. So here we go…. In any endeavor of corruption and misleading governance, the control of, and support by, the media, is an absolute necessity. The USSR needed Pravda to keep the ruse of governance for decades. The need of/by the U.S. government has steadily grown over the course of several progressive decades; but the urgency has increased exponentially over the past five years with the extremes
