| As the world unravels on Barack Obama’s watch, conservatives might want to take some solace in saying - We told you so! But they shouldn’t. First of all, it’s not as if the Romney campaign or the GOP congressional leadership or most conservative organizations really spent much time bothering to warn of the consequences of Obama’s foreign policy. And in any case, there’s not much solace to be had, as the world coming apart threatens the well-being of America, not just the success of Barack Obama’s second term.So what can conservatives do?

It seems Kristol judges everything by our activity in the Middle East. The Obama administration is a disaster for America. What happens in Syria, Iran, Iraq, Libya, and Israel is not as critical as what happens in Texas, Maryland, California, Missouri... but I don´t think Little Billy really cares about our country - only in so far as we can use our military.

There is nothing, NOTHING, to be gained by us reversing course and getting involved in Syria or anywhere else in the Middle East currently imploding. Support one batch of bad guys or the other set fighting them? Those are not options - they´re equally bad choices. There´s virtually nothing this piece of crap president has done, but his lack of being able to make a decision, which by accident kept us out of Syria, accidentally is the right decision. And Israel, while I support it I can see nothing positive resulting from what would be Barry´s inept involvement.

Kristol is wrong about Syria.
Obama policy is to use al Qaeda as a proxy against Assad in Syria (just as al Qaeda acted as proxy in Afghanistan during the 1980´s). The mission in Libya was providing al Qaeda with arms to be used against Assad in Syria. This is why the administration discourages scrutiny of events in Benghazi.

Since the days when Kristol was very instrumental in giving us candidate McCain, I make it a point to not read anything he writes. He is also a large part of the reason I don´t do Fox any longer. I might tune back in if they would give Weenie Billy , Rove ,Morris, Juan, O´Reilly, Beckel,Hannity, Greta and Estridge their own show at 3am when most conservatives are sleeping .

When President Obama gets to Jerusalem next week, one of the signals to listen for is an indication of what country he thinks he’s in. Normally this is clear when the President — any president — goes to the capital of a foreign country. He’s in whatever country the capital is capital of. An unfortunate story on CBS New York Thursday carried this headline: "Officials: 80 Percent Of Recent NYC High School Graduates Cannot Read." It´s a shocker, but it´s also untrue. And to make things worse, the story that followed was riddled with typos. According to the New York Post, which reported the same story earlier on Thursday, "79.3 percent of city public-school grads who went to CUNY’s six two-year colleges arrived without having mastered the basics" of reading, writing, and math, and had to take non-credit remedial classes to catch up.

Fans of Glenn Beck are complaining about what I wrote yesterday about his speech at the National Rifle Association convention, where he used a giant image of Michael Bloomberg photoshopped into what appeared to be an image of Hitler with his arm raised in a Nazi salute and wearing an armband. The Beck crowd now tells me that it wasn’t Hitler’s picture into which the New York mayor was transposed but that of Communist leader Vladimir Lenin. John McCain is going to release a bill that would dismantle cable as it´s currently constructed, Brenden Sasso at The Hill reports. The legislation would force cable companies and satellite TV providers to give consumers an option to pick and choose which channels they get. This is called "à la carte programming," and it´s long been a dream of consumers who only want a handful of channels. McCain tried to introduce similar legislation in 2006 and it went nowhere.
