The speaker is firing all the conservatives from committee heads and will put the Republican party back to the go along permanent minority party it was for years. And that is what he should do, the tea party did not show up for the 2012 election, if you can’t produce move over, so he is probably right. You can’t fight the smart moves the liberals have done against the conservative. They put their party hacks in place in the media and education. They took there time built the party, while the republicans set around trying to improve the country the liberals just want to win, just for the power.

Run a candidate that supports the Tea Party and watch all of the support you get. Rember 2010...then the GOP elites decided to marginalize the Tea Party. Bye bye GOP.

Which begs the question, why can´t republicans simply push fiscal responsibilty as the main focus of the party?

How the liberal agenda is hurting the poor, how the war on coal is increasing costs for the poor, how not using our natural resources to have low energy costs hurts tax revenues that pay for teachers, police and firefighters.

Stop the social issues and focus on growing the economy, and how those input costs affect jobs, tax revenues and how growing gov´t only means more taxes needed to pay for it - and borrowing can´t be the answer for the shortfall.

These types of ideas will naturally result in more socially conservative people gravitating towards it, but it can´t be the focus.

There´s serious speculation that DeMint is planning a run for the White House in 2016.

Duh, did this idiot notice the number of Republican governors and legislatures has increased? Note that Indiana is voting for right to work law? One lesson we learned from the progressives is to take over the local and state orgs. And it is working.

She´s a coward, who avoids the truth that the Tea Party stands for smaller government, fewer taxes, and more freedom. What is extremist about those ideas? I´m betting that small government resonates much better with the "middle class" than Big Government and the Demonrat party tax and spend Leftist policies.

She´s right in one sense, although not the one she intended. There is no Tea Party. There are three larger groups, Tea Party Patriots, Tea Party Express, and Tea Party Nation, all of whom are squabbling amongst themselves as to which is the authentic Tea Party. Tea Party Patriots hate Tea Party Nation. Tea Party Express says it´s the only real thing. Then there are smaller splinter groups, disaffiliated from the larger ones and at odds with each other, all with different sets of priorities. The pro-life Tea Party hates the smaller government Tea Party.

This isn´t a movement; it´s become a joke.

If they´re talking about social issues, they´re not Tea Party as far as I am concerned, they´re Republicans. The libertarian Tea Partiers should drop the name and try something else if they get co-opted by the Big Government/Military Interventionist/Moral Majority wing. The whole premise of the Tea Party was fiscal responsibility - period. From the beginning I have warned Tea Party people not to associate with the GOP. They´re poison.
