Another shocker from the party of "Do as I say, not as I do". A graduate of the Carl Rowan Institute for Gun Control (he advocated "a law that says anyone found in possession of a handgun except a legitimate officer of the law goes to jail—period." - that was, of course, except for him when he shot a teenager in his backyard).

They feel they have a ´right´ to break the laws just like the other two mentioned. They really think they are entitled to commit bribery and bank fraud without consequences. They are Dem politicians and they are black. They are also from Chicago and that says it all.
I had a friend stopped in Atlanta at the TSA checkpoint with a small semi-auto pistol that he forgot was in his carry-on. Being stopped there is a misdemeanor but he still got fined $5,000 plus paying his lawyer. They told him that he was lucky and that if he had gotten on the airplane with it he would have been charged with a felony.
The TSA people said it happened frequently. People would just forget they had it like my friend did.

In fairness, O.P., et al, the hypocrisy on every side (effectively, the tendency toward hypocrisy evident in human nature) is stunning.
We´re all a bunch of imperfect people pointing fingers at everybody else´s flaws. Doesn´t that get boring after awhile?

#11, with all due respect, this isn´t about the State Senator forgetting he had the gun or about his making stupid mistakes...this is about someone using their POWER and Authority to outlaw guns for everyone else, but then thinking that he should be allowed to be exempt. THAT is the hypocrisy... Why should he make laws that throw everyone else in jail for having a gun (a Constitutionally protected right) and then he can go around with his own gun and do whatever he wants?

Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell´s campaign has contacted the FBI after a recording of a private strategy meeting was published Tuesday in a liberal publication, claiming the campaign was the victim of "Watergate-style tactics" to bug the office. Several snippets of the audio from the February strategy sessions were published Tuesday by Mother Jones magazine, along with a lengthy article.
