Every liberal sub group that helped Obama get re-elected,is now standing in line waiting for their reward.When they don´t get it,Obama will simply blame republican obstructionism and lay the groundwork for the dems to take back the House.

I still don´t get the dichotomy of people electing Obama and a GOP House when it was a recipe for gridlock continuing.Maybe GOP House members simply live in districts that had better protection from vote machine rigging.

If you´re only job in life is voting every 2 or 4 years,then you´re a lot more likely to show up than people who have to work for a living but the GOP did a lousy job of framing the election. They didn´t touch dem´s culture of corruption,when the dems talked about it day and night after Tom Delay´s debacles with Abramhoff.

One of the other leading factors that led to the republicans downfall was Denny Hastert not taking action on Mark Foley when his antics were fairly well known a year before the 2006 election.

For a white kid who grew up in an integrated neighborhood in Indiana in the 1940´s, 1950´s and 1960´s, these years of Obama and his racism accusations have worn thin.

Even more galling to me is how Obama is sometimes depicted as a modern-day Lincoln. That characterization of him is an insult to the man who freed the slaves and who preserved the union and lost his life because of it. Obama has adeptly divided our nation and is doing his utmost to enslave all peoples of our once great nation (the former greatest defender of freedom in the world).

I say a pox on Obama and his ilk. He is not a genius but, instead, he is a charlatan. To rescue our nation and return it to what our truly great Founding Fathers gave us, we will not only have to utilize the ideas set forth in this article but also turn our eyes to the God of our fathers

I find this explanation more plausible than most. The Romney Campaign was lethal in the GOP primaries because they identified the most attractive aspects of Romney´s opponents and then ruthlessly converted those narratives into liabilities. Romney surrogate John Sununu attacked Newt Gingrich for not supporting Bush 41 on raising taxes--i.e. attacking Gingrich for breaking his promise to support President Bush´s decision to break his promise to the American people. Or Elliott Abrams´ attacked Newt for being disloyal to Reagan conservatism--because Gingrich criticized the Reagan State Department for resisting Reagan´s policies. Ridiculous? Of course, but it worked.

In the general, all this changed. Team Romney took a hands off approach to Obama personally. Not only did Mitt not lay a glove on Obama the man; he completely failed to debunk Obama the myth. Why? Because any personal attack on Obama would immediately be deemed racist. Sununu came closest to getting trumped by the race card when he called the President lazy. Romney couldn´t afford to take that chance. Being unable to make a clear case that Obama was the problem made it hard for Romney to present himself as the solution. Obama was elected because of race, and his re-election was protected for the same reason.

Many of us predicted that Romney would do a McCain...be tough on his ´friends´ and sweet to his adversary, Obama. That is the definition of a rino. I am sick of the word and the person of rino. Maybe the real republicans are not conservative and I am the one who does not have a party. If Repubs and all who defend Boehner, et al...are the face of Repubs..then I truely am like Reagan in that the party has left me. Posters who scorn Palin are the same ones who scorn me. Palin is only a representative of those of us who believe in fighting the ´enemy´ within. And the moderates among us are the worst possible shackle to reform. I am no longer a Republican. Since I first voted GOP and before that when I worked from the age of 12 for the small Repub party in my county...I am now leaving the party. Not that anyone cares, but if enough of us leave maybe the moderates will wake up. On second thought I doubt they care because one of the aspects of being a moderate is to desire to lose..imho.

I noticed there´s a 7-8 million vote gap between all votes for President and all votes for the House of Representatives. That means lots of people voting the top of the ticket couldn´t be bothered with the down ballot races, where Republicans did much better.

Sure, #1 is right. Still, that America-hating Marxist was positioned for the presidency by his handlers--and got it without being vetted--because of his racial appeal to certain segments of society. And he was re-upped by the same crowd for the same reasons.
