Planting the Seeds
of His Own Demise

American Spectator, by Peter Ferrara

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 12/5/2012 6:13:39 AM

Stop that cringing! I can already see the light at the end of the tunnel. And it´s not pretty for today´s neo-Marxist Democrat party. The man you see before you as your President today bears a striking resemblance to the main character in a Greek tragedy. He so reeks of hubris. Every word that drops from his lips speaks a haughty derision of the lesser beings not benighted to be a cog in his political machine. All witness Obama the Magnificent, the conqueror of America, which was the world hyperpower, but is now the Sick Man of the 21st Century,

FTA: First, the Republicans themselves will get more feisty, I kid you not.

Yeah, well I´m not holding my breath. You can never underestimate the GOP.

People see leftist schemes in the abstract and can´t figure out how it will hurt them personally. That´s all part of how the left markets things.Everybody getting healthcare sounds good until you realize it has to be paid for somehow,so the left implies only the rich will pay,so enjoy your free ride and shut up.

Poor people say well,I´m poor so I won´t have to pay but we just seen the guy from the Cheesecake Factory say he´ll have to pass the costs on.Just about any business subject to Obamacare will have to do the same, causing a huge surge in consumer inflation.

Reply 6 - Posted by: Country Boy, 12/5/2012 6:57:38 AM     (No. 9049334)

I am consequently predicting that America´s foreign enemies, seeing America has trashed its defenses, and cannot even finance a war to defend itself, will be tempted beyond resistance to attack the American homeland. The result will make 9/11 look like a mere skirmish. The Great Marxist will then politically have turned into The Great Pumpkin.

Probably will happen, but assuming that obama gets any blame is assuming that he is playing for the "home team", and not a foreign plant, trojan horse. I think the latter is the case. In which case, he will welcome the invaders with open arms.

All you obama voters out there, you are the most stupid people ever to have walked the earth.

#6 That part shivered me to the core. I don´t know if the US giving in to the UN re handgun bans is BS or what, but any invader best not misunderestimate not only American´s arms, but their steel. May Harry Reid rot in hell.

It does not make any difference.

The Shitbama and his Demonrat minions have the election process fixed. Does anyone actually think they will EVER allow any opponent to win another election?

Does ANYONE actually think that Romney really lost the election?

I am sorry. It is over. The only hope is that a foreign invaders liberate the the US.

#6, the following is from Bob Woodard´s book, titled, I think, obama´s Wars:

Despite warnings of another attack, he suggested the United States could weather a new strike.

"We can absorb a terrorist attack. We´ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, even the biggest attack ever . . . we absorbed it and we are stronger," Obama reportedly said.

So, see, we have nothing to worry about with El Primo at the helm.

Add to them all the Republicans who refused to challenge the voter fraud #6.

Keep praying for our country. We will need all the help we can get.

So, the country will be economically ruined, provoking attack by foreign invaders, and the payoff is that it will have been the progressive´s fault? I don´t get the payoff part.

Headline should be, Planting the Seeds of Our Demise.

No, I don´t believe that Romney lost the election.

For now tho we are spending all our time slashing and burning our own. Demanding purity so we can lose ´proudly´.

The dems continue on their way to destroying our economy further and making ´national security´ nothing more than a hope and a prayer.

#6, I can even predict the state attacked. It will be Alaska. Timing will be just after that halts on drilling have caused production to decline to the point as which the Alaskan pipeline is shut down. Russia will step in with a major fleet and offer to buy the state back at bargain basement prices. They´ll drill ALL the known fields and sell the oil to China.

"I can see Russia from here!" is justified.

Yes, agree overall that the election was stolen. It would be naive to think the socialist dems would not cheat in the elction, after they´ve obviously wired the whole network of American checks and balances their way with carrots or sticks. From not taking the rap for F&F or even Benghazi, to the shocking vote of Roberts on healthcare, etc the DC commmies are off the chain and rigging every situation.

It basically appears as if Saudi Arabia and George Soros have outsourced their foreign policy goals to Obama and he is a willing dupe.

The article title should be... "Planting the Seeds of OUR Demise"!!!

This is a long and depressing article that ends with America in financial ruin. But, the progressives will be to blame, don´t you know!!! Not buying it.

I do believe election fraud is what lost this election, and I am very concerned about the lack of anyone challenging some of the results. But, IMO, we have an even bigger problem, and that is, conservatives staying home in protest. Many threatening to leave the Republican Party and start a new party. And on and on. If we don´t learn to unite to defeat the progressives, the predictions of never winning another election will come true. If Mr Ferrara is right, might not matter anyway.

The article is sadly defective.
All of the costs of Obamacare are not included in his analysis. They cannot be included because the regulations have not yet been written. But Obamacare must be paid for, and it will come out of the pockets of the middle class.
Lots of jobs will become part-time.
Lots of jobs will be lost.
But it is for our good.

The post at #6 also jumped off the page at me. This final paragraph by Ferrara should be an eye-opener, as Obama proceeds to minimize our military to purposely create a vunerable America. I visualize him applauding in the background as America is attacked, again, by enemies who believe American citizens are infidels and must die.
.... That so many Obama-supporting Americans and illegal aliens apparently welcome the destruction of our free nation is mind-boggling.

And what´s that bit about Warren Buffet´s tax shelter for the rich? Buffet is one of those screaming loudest that the wealthiest are not taxed enough.
.... Is this some kind of game to him?

I agree with poster # 11. This article raises your morale with its title and disappoints with its content. So the country goes to complete ruin and finally the dummies begin to stir and say, "Huh?"
Ferrara´s scenario may turn out to be fairly accurate, but it is anything but encouraging.

Well-written article. It is hopeful throughout most of the article; yet, it became quite sobering at the end. I don´t know which outweighs the other - probably the scary aspect is more troubling:
But Obama in his second term will have run up the national debt beyond that, even without any war, while he unilaterally disarms our nuclear deterrent, which the American people have now empowered him to do as our Commander in Chief.

The above quote and that which #6 posted make my knees go weak. How America handles the situation, unfortunately, depends on how quickly the densest of our fellow citizens can understand the consequences of Obama having been elected and re-elected to the presidency.

My great hope is that those who are still working on Obama´s impeachment for "high crimes and misdemeanors" (for either his probable ineligibility or for his crimes in office) will gain strength and following.

When I read the ending of the article I thought "OMG this sounds like Red Dawn is going to happen!" I just pray our youth would fight back.

This is a childishly optimistic piece. If only some of the many unsupported assumptions were actually TRUE. Republicans will NOT get feisty, they will continue to cower under their desks, protecting their cushy sinecures. The Ryan tax cuts will only by "wildly popular" with those who actually PAY TAXES. The Obama-folk see any tax hike as a pay raise for them, and vice versa. I notice Ferrara, as Romney before him, claims eliminating deductions and closing loopholes will replace revenues from higher taxation. Neither ever gives actual examples of same. The previous election was stolen; future ones will be: purloined, perfunctory and pointless.

I disagree with this author. They will continue to blame Bush for the dear leader´s destruction of America. However the outcome will be as he described. Budget deficits surpassing $2 T annually, continued higher unemployment, drastic fall in personal income, and new taxes for all. Near off-shore countries with capitalistic systems will boom. People with business sense will flee America. The media will continue to prop up the dear leader. The Republicans will run scared. Moderation will be the name of the game in the establishment circles. If we can be more like the radical Marxists of the democratic party, we´ll be successful in 2016. Fat chance. Talk about despondency syndrome, I have a very severe case.

I am in agreement with those who believe that this election was stolen. Of course, the Republicams will not challenge the results. They have NO spine even if it means that the Republic is teetering on the edge of destruction.

It appears the fight is gone out of our leaders in Washington DC. At a time when the party should be united in a single goal and that is to stop this country being fundamentally changed forever, they bicker like old biddies. Boehner should have had his ducks in a row months ago. A leader makes contingency plans for every situation. He couldn´t even be bothered with the effort to make the case to the American people after Romney´s loss. That is when he should have had talking points drilled into the thick skulls of party leaders and sent them out to explain that a freight train was bearing down on us.

Reply 38 - Posted by: Rinktum, 12/5/2012 9:26:29 AM     (No. 9049561)

You can´t win what you won´t fight for. You must go around the media when they muddy the waters. Spend some bucks on TV ads and social media. The old ways will not work anymore. If you don´t believe there is an enemy that can be defeated, you are doomed to failure. A leader builds consensus. A leaders builds a message. A leader puts the good of the country over their job security. If Obama can continue to campaign, why can´t republicans campaign not for an office but for an idea? Quit the personal politicking and get to the business of saving the Republic. Your ambition will still be there down the road, and you just may have "helping to save the Republic" on your résumé.

Men and women have fought and died for the freedom that has defined us as a people and a nation. Why can´t our leaders see the urgency that is upon us. We are now more vulnerable than ever before in a dangerous world and the pampered princes in DC can´t muster the courage to take the fight to those who are gleefully and enthusiastically destroying our future. The pathetic truth in all of this is that we as citizens have to beg our elected leaders to fight for their country. (My apologies for the length of this rant.)

Anybody who saw the movie 2016 realizes that Obama wishes to bring America down to third world status as revenge for our supposed oppression of the poor all around the globe. Remember, the endless colonies we set up and exploited? Yeah, I don´t remember that either, but the current dogma is that the poor are poor because the rich stole their money. And revenge is the only remedy.

As far as who gets the blame for the fall of America, it will be anybody but Obama and the Democrats. The Republicans have had at least 40 years to come up with an effective media strategy to counter the lies of the Democrats. Even with millions in contributions from little people like us, they haven´t done it. The only reason for that has to be that they don´t want to do it. All of the elites are in this together. And when America is brought down to third world status for revenge, you can bet that the elite will rise to the top of whatever world order emerges after that happens. We The People woke up in 1776. We need to wake up again.

The First Step to recovery: STOP CALLING MARXISTS “LIBERAL”. the word they stole from the Founding Fathers. 1920, early Marxists, Leninists, Fabian socialists, followers of Keynes, ESTABLISHED the Liberal Institute, deceptively using it as the perfect cover-up word for Communism, socialism, Marxism, tricks indoctrinating in the universities. These retrogrades also started using the word, PROGRESSIVE. What chutzpah! WE BLINDLY ALLOWED THIS SEMANTIC DISTORTION all these decades while authoritarian government quietly took over our freedoms. Don´t any of you good people GET IT? Along with a growing array of politically correct words, THE TRIGGER was, and still is, STEALING THIS KEY WORD, the word that means freedom. You would never call Hitler or Mussolini a liberal, but you call their Marxist, communist seeking comrades, Pelosi, Reid, Clinton, Obama, you call these enemies to our individual freedoms, LIBERAL. START calling them all the bad names THEY ACTUALLY ARE overcome your fear to always be open, honest, confrontational. On talk radio, Fox NewsTV, the Bob Beckels are getting away with SOCIETAL MURDER, preaching socialism, Marxism, and being addressed as “liberal”, when they should be addressed as lefty, pinko, red, statist, collectivist, authoritarian, ANTI liberal, socialist, Marxist…..ANY WORD YOU DARE PICK WILL WORK. The democrats, Beckels, Juans, all of them spout The Party Line under “liberal” protection. DO IT ! IT WON’T COST A SINGLE DOLLAR to CHANGE THE FLOW TO SEMANTIC FREEDOM. Overcome the FEAR,

For all of the demise talk, he is still up pickin´ and grinn´, and the dumb jerks who voted for him after the first time he promised the " spread the =wealth" in his conversation with Joe the Plumber, were out there again this year.

Spreading the wealth mans only one thing: taking money from most of those who earned it and giving it to someone else. I have never been more convinced that we should limit the voting privilege to those who actually know something.

Never before in our history has one man been more deserving of obloquy than this most despicable of human beings.

Yes, he has rendered this nation crippled and vulnerable. However, we have discounted the hand of God in the affairs of our nation.

Consider these quotes"
"It is when people forget God that tyrants forge their chains." --Patrick Henry

I have lived, Sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth -- that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? --Ben Franklin

The majority voted for an anti-American communist of very questionable lineage who stated he thinks the Constitution is an obstacle and thus lied during his oath of office. His intentionally ruinous policies created millions of new government dependents and that along with massive voter fraud and bribes from the public treasury ensured his re-election and his lifestyle as a potentate. So you all know this....I´m preaching to the choir. The problem is the majority does not care. They´re just looking for more bribes to finance the lifestyles they think they´re entitled to.

We are in the revolution - the coup d´etat. The country has tipped and very difficult to imagine the pendulum swinging back to where it needs to be.

Where do you start? How do you prove anything? Lay it out for me because I, like the GOP, am too stupid to see how it can be accomplished. We´re not talking about one state here. It seems to me it would be a massive undertaking that would lead nowhere.

#52, 53 are correct. Its not a question of how to do it, it cannot be done. There´s no paper trail in our system and the integrity cannot be verified; its not possible. This is what makes me think that it was very likely compromised.

I have a faint hope that the silence on the topic is due to an ongoing secret investigation, but I have a hopeful imagination.

Our only hope is for a whistle blower to expose the sham. With electronic fraud, it can be a very small conspiracy of only 2 people could do the whole thing, given the right knowledge and tools. Its pretty easy to keep a conspiracy that small under wraps.

What is NOT mentioned here is that the Obama administration will blame the disaster on the Republicans and their love for the 1%, and the all too willing press will carry that message. Even if Obama is eventually, finally looked upon historically as a Herbert Hoover, in HIS lifetime he will be celebrated. The way around this is to get the message out, but if the voters don´t watch Fox et al. they will not hear it, and will accept without any kind of thought whatever they are told! (The WORST thing for us, by the way, are these Republicans who seem to think agreeing with Obama is the way to go, to negotiate. I hope they are swept out of office. The final page of this article talks about the U.S. being so weak we are attacked, making 9-11 like a small skirmish. Not a pleasant thought, but frankly, the logic in this article is understandable and plausible. I´ve been trying to project where all this unsustainable spending and house of cards government is going to lead, and history is replete with the answer: war.

When all is said and done, the fact is that we can do nothing on our own to save ourselves and our country. Many LDotters have previously urged us to pray, and I think this is better advice than all the political solutions offered here. No, I´m not saying we should give up, roll over and "take it." But we need to earnestly seek God´s wisdom and help to prevail over the evil which has taken over the land. If you were diagnosed with terminal cancer, would you not be moved to pray very hard to God for deliverance? Well, our country and the world at large have been diagnosed with a virulentcancer, and it will take unceasing and heartfelt prayer before God to survive.

#43, what? I couldn´t hear over all that yelling. How about calling democrats what they have become: Marxists. But that demands one reads about Karl Marx. So we can also call them ´communists´ which means they have to read Karl Marx.

I say, we need to remind Americans we are becoming like the Soviets and like Cuba is now. Everyone is equal. That is, they are equally poor and miserable. The good thing is that these empires never last. The Soviets went down rather bloodlessly. Putin is trying to resurrect some of that, but even he knows people are a little savier than those that lived in the Soviet era and he can be put out like a dog.

I think America will go to the edge of capitalim and the beginning of communism. BO and his minions will try hard to make it happen. The question remains is who will step up to the plate to stop it. And no, it won´t the the republicans or the keyboard commandoes. It´s fascinating how we never learn from our world history.

FTA "The conservative comeback begins now -- on the assumption that a majority of Americans will not welcome a second Great Depression." Bad assumption - all those who voted for the Democrats will continue to get all the freebies whether or not there is a depression. So they are unaffected by the state of the economy. They could care less about working. Democrats will vote the party line no matter how bad the depression gets. These voters along with the vote fraud the Democrats have perfected there will be no comeback large enough to over come all that.

#52 & 53... How bout we start with all the precincts in FL and OH with well over 100% voter turnout? Several precincts reported 140%, 150% turnout?? Some with 150,000 registered voters but 250,000 votes cast! I believe one precinct in Allen West´s district had around 10 registered voters but 800 votes cast!?!? How bout in OH and PA where some precincts had ZERO votes for Romney?? How bout FL had around 300,000 new Hispanic votes for the president?? I´m sure they were all legal! We could start by not accepting these numbers until investigations take place.

We are not talking about a massive amount of fraud, just strategic swing states and certain 3-4 counties in these states. That´s all it takes.

I take myself out of this and retreat to my interests, ever forgetting what my fellow countrymen have wished for in 2012. I´m too old to waste my brain on this anymore. Obama was re-elected by strategic vote fraud, as many here have said. About 350,000 votes in four swing states gave him the election.

I had a feeling he was going to win, when on Election Day he serenely said that he felt he had the votes to win. I´m surprised he didn´t rub his nose with his middle finger when he said it.

A long time ago, before his 2008 election, I asked a college student in my family what one word she would choose to describe Obama. Her word: hubris.

What has happened over the past 70-100 years has been a razing to the ground of the Founding Principles, of common sense, practical wisdom in operation in the economy, or, the market economy in practice, not to mention the religious and moral principles. All barbarians destroy the existing civilization.

People just don´t know how market-based economies work.

A few nights ago Mark Levin was reading an essay titled: I, Pencil. It is wonderful, and would make an excellent piece for beginners.

My suggestion is to start the re-education of as many people as possible as quickly as possible with as much charm as possible.

Almost from the moment he walked into the Oval Office, Barack Obama has had a serious lying problem when it comes to firearms. The 44th president has a near pathological predilection for using defective, invalid, and flat-out dishonest statistics in his quest to restrict the 2nd Amendment rights of American citizens, a fact first pointed out here at PJ Media in the summer of 2009. At that time, the president, then-Secretary of State of State Hillary Clinton, and U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder were heavily invested in promoting the deceptive theory that the supermajority of firearms being used by Mexican drug cartels

With the fate of gun control as muddled as ever, the best hope for congressional compromise centers on the most popular policy move Washington could make: universal background checks. The public supports other measures, but among all the limits on gun ownership that Democrats have advanced since the December shooting in Newtown, Conn., background checks enjoy the most support. A Quinnipiac University poll last week showed 91 percent of respondents in favor of “requiring background checks for all gun buyers,” compared with slimmer margins, 59 percent and 58 percent, for banning “assault weapons” and magazines

People living here illegally could begin to get green cards in 10 years but only if a new southern border security plan is in place,

To many in our cultural elite, Woody Guthrie is an American saint. The legendary songwriter from Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, is introduced to every American child by way of his folk anthem “This Land Is Your Land.” But for gatekeepers of the arts, Guthrie is much more: All of his work—every song, every article, every poem—is good and honest and true, the gospel according to Woody. What other justification is there for the release of this deservedly long-lost novel? Completed in 1947 but only recently “rediscovered,” House of Earth is an incoherent polemic interspersed with erotic scenes and rambling descriptions

‘Comprehensive immigration reform,” a deal on which is reportedly imminent, has a lot of moving parts — too many, in truth, as with most “comprehensive” legislation. Among the costs of comprehensivism is that debate over such bills often gets bogged down in the many details. Americans seeking to evaluate any deal should ask three questions about it to cut through the noise. First: Will it encourage future illegal immigration? This has always been the greatest risk of proposals to provide legal status for current illegal immigrants: that it will be seen as a reason for others to come here illegally

Rand Paul’s speech at Howard University, one student explained that he was not a fan of his view of government. “You say you want to provide a government that leaves us alone, quite frankly, I don’t want that,” the student said. “I want a government that is going to help me.” The student insisted that he wanted assistance for his college education and asked if Rand Paul supported a culture change within the nation. “Do you Sen. Rand Paul have a formulated solution to come up with new American values

Liberals descended on Pennsylvania Avenue Tuesday to protest President Barack Obama´s decision to include entitlement cuts in his upcoming budget, delivering 2 million petitions demanding the White House back off its support for the chained CPI. As we reported this weekend, liberals have been seething over the inclusion of the chained CPI in Obama´s budget, which they see as a huge betrayal by the Democratic president. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion. "The politics has been relentless and that continues," Sebelius said. "There was some hope that once the Supreme Court ruled in July, and then once an election occurred there would be a sense that, ´This is the law of the land, let´s get on board, let´s make this work.´"

In a stunning end to one of the most aggressively unsuccessful tenures in retail history, JCPenney (JCP) last night announced that CEO Ron Johnson would be leaving effective immediately. Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman. In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.

The state of California is reportedly considering legislation that would force group insurance policies to provide infertility treatment for gay and lesbian couples. Two men who have sex with each other for a year and do not produce a baby would be considered “infertile” under the proposed legislation. So would two women having sex. Since biology does not allow those without a uterus to conceive or those without a penis to impregnate, every year-long gay couple in California would potentially be covered by this new provision of California law.
