Former Republican Congressman
Watts hints at bid for RNC

Former Republican Rep. J.C. Watts is hinting at a potential bid to become the next Republican National Committee chairman. Watts, a black conservative, told Politico he has been “encouraged” by supporters, amid the Republican Party’s post-election commitment to appeal to a wider range of voters including Hispanics and African Americans. Reince Priebus has already announced he will seek a second term as RNC chairman and reportedly has enough support among the group’s 167 voting members to win re-election. The former Wisconsin Republican Party chairman has been credited with restoring a financially troubled RNC, which he took over in

How about Allen West? He would sure shake things up. The RINO´s in the party would be apoplectic.

I don´t think we need to have a Black Chairman just for the sake of pleasing the Black community. They vote Democrat. I think Reince Priebus did a fantastic job this election cycle. He inherited a financial mess and turned it around. I would vote to keep him if I were granted a vote!

Watts does not have the TV demeanor we require at this time. He is so monotone and milquetoast on air. This is an important PR job and a man like Allen West would really move us forward.

Someone who could help win elections is needed. I respect Allen West, but he could not even do that. Someone who will accomplish victories is needed more than someone who will simply throw red meat.

Watts is a great guy, and has many strengths, but he isn´t suited for this position. He isn´t capable of taking on the left´s worst scum on TV, and that´s what this job has become. Preibus has done a good job. Allen West would also be great, but this kind of mud-wrestling is beneath the dignity of such an honorable warrior.

I am a longtime OU football fan and have admired Mr. Watts during and after his football career. Having said that, I think he lacks the leadership abilities and communicative skills and presence we need, and putting him there because of his race isn´t workable if we truly respect merit and capability.

I agree with #1 that Priebus has done well - he isn´t to blame for a presidential campaign that faltered and 3-4 extremely stupid and unmanageable senate candidates. But I´d like to see someone who is more energetic and believes in the platform the way that Bill Whittle expressed in his recent video.

J.C. Watts has been a success in many pursuits - in football, Congress, his ministry, and in business. He will have my support.
I take nothing away from Mr. Priebus, but we have to change our approach and Watts can do what Priebus cannot. Mr. Preibus should understand that and do what is best for the party.
One more thing: J.C. Watts ia, and has been, a conservative when it has counted. He is not a firebrand. He is a winner.

I found the interview to be very disturbing. I could not understand what J.C. Watts was trying to accomplish.

That said, i think Watts could play a very effective role in stopping the Obama agenda. But I´m going to have to see it to believe it at this point.

I almost don´t care who it is, but if they don´t get an aggressive top to bottom campaign going today to establish a legal and muscled oversight of the election process, it won´t matter what they do. To allow a few crucial counties to commit blatant voting ´irregularities´ is simply incompetent. You are organized if you have to scramble to get your poll watchers back on duty in every polling place in Philadelphia. You don´t have it together if you accept voting machines that can´t be monitored and are owned by a company controlled by Soros. You aren´t playing in the same league if you let the other side control the moderators and style of the debates. Finally, get some kind of combative truth squads to fight the media. ´Check the transcript, Cindy,´ are you kidding me? DON´T give them the media, academia, entertainment, everything and then base your appeal on the fact that at least you aren´t a communist.

Fred Phelps, the recently-excommunicated founder of the much-loathed Westboro Baptist Church, died Thursday at the age of 84. Phelps and his Topeka, Kansas-based church made their name by holding anti-gay demonstrations at the funerals of military service members, whom they believed had been killed as god’s punishment for the U.S.’s tolerance of homosexuality. The protests, which often featured signs blaring “God Hates F***s,” were so noxious that bikers began showing up by the hundreds to block them. They eventually inspired numerous states to pass changes in laws governing demonstrations at funerals. RELATED: NY Satanic Temple Wants to Posthumously Make Fred Phelps Gay The

If President Barack Obama found the perfect adversary in Bill O’Reilly when the two men sat down for a pre-Super Bowl interview last month, he may have found the ideal ally in Ellen DeGeneres. With 10 days to go before the March 31st Obamacare deadline, the president brought his message to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where the host did her best to stress the importance of affordable healthcare for all. “It’s doing very, very well,” DeGeneres said of the Obamacare enrollment process. “It had a rough start, but you’ve got 5 million people that have signed up so far, which

President Obama’s nomination of Dr. Vivek Murthy to be surgeon general is in trouble, because the National Rifle Association decided that it was going to “score” the vote – that is, let its members know which senators voted for someone they believe is a threat to people being able to own guns for self-defense. The largest doctors group in the country is raising alarm that an obscure ObamaCare rule could stick them with the tab for patients who skip out on paying their premiums. At issue is a 90-day "grace period" which lets patients who are not paying their premiums keep coverage for 90 days before it can be canceled. Under the rule, insurers are responsible
