TV’s ‘air’ pollution
New York Post, by Andrea Peyser

Admit it. Angus T. Jones was right. From “Glee” to “Girls” to “Two and a Half Men,” television has devolved into a vacuous wasteland where ordinary notions of morality, fidelity and decency are not just censored. They’re a joke. TV shows present teenage virginity as a curse, human intelligence as a disease, and promiscuous sex as the norm, while average human attention spans are as alien as the Martian landscape. That’s what Jones, all of 19, suggested when he made a video that went viral on YouTube last week, an impassioned, 20-minute religious rant that had Hollywood’s amoral glamazons shocked

Boycott this garbage! Write to the networks & their sponsors and tell them why you are boycotting.
It is simple: no viewers, no ratings, no sponsors, no shows.
Can´t somebody please organize a national boycott of the media & Hollywood in all of their most vile forms?

Most of what I come across on television these days is lowest-common-denominator brain rot, but good stuff can be found as well. Be smart and be selective. It matters.

America has abandoned God. Does it not appear as though God has righteously abandoned America? A collective evil reigns in the land and not just in TV. The same spirit possesses our politics, education, as well as all facets of national life.

Every single second of media is shaped to the last frame. Every single second is pushing a point of view and a values system. Even the shows that seem like they might be advocates for things like firearms or individual responsibility, usually have another message and it isn´t necessarily what you think it is. Look who is President, who his inner circle looks up to, who has access and what splinter groups get the majority of air time. Read any of Orwell´s books, they are being played out. As far as Glee, the slick, upbeat, song and dance numbers are wrapped in a hamfisted ´gay´ advocacy that is the personal crusade of the show´s creator. Tired of it.

If you´re inclined to watch prime time TV, try this filter that is used in our house (you won´t watch much TV from the three major networks if you do):

The program is switched off at the first reference to a bodily function, bodily fluid or a snarky slam on Christianity.
For example, Sherlock Holmes could always solve a murder without a DNA sample but the geniouses on CSI usually need a bodily fluid to succeed.
The Honeymooners could make you laugh without using a sexual reference or a bodily function, etc., etc.
There´s something wrong and missing from our politically correct culture.

The mayor, on a pilgrimage on Friday to Goodfellas, a venerable Staten Island pizzeria, smiled, nodded at his slice and then proceeded to do the unthinkable: eat it with a knife and fork. Cue the foodie firestorm. “Disaster,” declared a writer at New York magazine, citing the longstanding city protocol of devouring pizza, no matter how greasy, with the hands, and the hands only.
