I couldn´t believe it when I heard a sports reporter comment at noon today that many of the fans were hoping that KC would hold a moment of silence in "honor" of this homicidal/suicidal football play.

OK, predictably it turned into an anti-gun rant. I just want to know why people think the game should not have happened. Football is a business, like any other. If I committed murder-suicide my large company would not shutdown. Even my 13 member office would not shutdown. In point of fact, an employee of another team also committed suicide Saturday and no one has suggested that team not play.

#7, this qualifies as a family anhilator and for the most part, the majority are non-black. The game should have been postponed and each team granted a bye week. Roger Goodell should have done his duty as commissioner and the team owners should have agreed. But using #7 logic, it must be a white thing.

The reality is that this is a very sad case. The guy was obvioulsy off his rocker. The NFL highlights the ills players bring into the game. Greed, stupidity, uncontrollable urge to reproduce at every turn, drug abuse, irresponsibility, marriage means nothing, concusions and subsequent health problems associated with the game, etc.

No it should not have been cancelled. Major league football is a business and many many small businesses support every game. If the teams had received bye´s, that would have done nothing for all of the smaller businesses who would have lost a fortune. Take the emotion out of it just like we would for any other business.

I was screaming at the TV that this P-O-S murdered someone, and then committed suicide, both times in front of people.

I don´t know where poster #5 gets their information, but I read this article two times, and do not see any reference to the "moment" being directed to victims of domestic violence.
