| On November 20, during a summit meeting at Phnom Penh where President Obama intended to push a Trans-Pacific partnership excluding China, the tables were turned and China, India, Japan, South Korea, and others announced a partnership that excludes the U.S. This new group is being formed by the Association of Southeast Asia Nations, and Barack Obama is persona non-grata. The Asia Times says of the news, "3 billion Asians becoming prosperous, while interest fades in the prospective contribution of 300 million Americans." Obama had touted the Trans-Pacific Partnership as a great opportunity

Why should they include us? No one wants to hang around losers and right now that is exactly what the US is. Seriously, what do we have to offer them? We are the largest debtor nation in the world. We decimated our manufacturing sector and priced ourselves out of the market. We have shown the world that all our leaders, both Republicans and Democrats, are complete worthless lying idiots. The majority of our population is functionally illiterate and care only about reality TV, sports, and cellphones; and 98% of all Americans couldn´t tell you the names of the leaders of any of these contries. IF you do not know look it up yourself. So yes, good for China, India and the rest for not inviting America. It shows that they can recognize a blowhard sponger when they see one.
As much as my comments might sting and offend this is America´s new realty, and it sucks!

My sympathies, #11,12,13. I posted some Japanese script the other day on YouTube and it came out fine. I was replying to a Japanese speaker. Surprised me it came out ok, mixed English and Kanji.
Thinking people around the world have been saying "what the heck" under their breath since November 6. They are, and rightly so, fearful for our future. They know that the economic health of this country is intertwined with the rest of the world and they really do want to see the end of this episode of the economic doldrums. I hate to break it to them but it ain´t going to improve until Obama leaves. I think the Pacific Rim Countries are doing the right thing by showing that they are not going to wait for our ship to right itself. Four more years is too long.
We haven´t seen anything yet. China a net seller of US debt? Japan bought the last offered and they aren´t in the best of shape either since the Earthquake and Tsunami.

#17, The US doesn´t need anyone to buy it´s debt anymore. We just have the Fed buy it with future I.O.U.s and then they ´release´ more dollars into the money supply. We can do this forever and that´s why we should let Obama have complete freedom to raise the debt ceiling.

Wyoming Republican Sen. Mike Enzi may be gearing up to run for re-election in 2014, but that doesn’t mean Liz Cheney is ruling out a run for the Senate seat now. A source close to the politically active daughter of Vice President Dick Cheney tells The Daily Caller that she is still seriously considering running. Over the weekend, The Casper Star Tribune reported that Enzi told a meeting of the GOP state party committee that he is looking forward to running for re-election — something he has yet to formally announce. An Enzi spokesman confirmed the senator’s remarks.

Pyongyang appeared to be making preparations for the test, according to a South Korean government source speaking to the country’s Joong Ang Daily newpaper. This comes on the heels of the South’s defence ministry reports that Pyongyang could perform a mid-range missile test-launch by Wednesday – also the deadline it has given to foreign diplomats to evacuate, as their safety would reportedly no longer be guaranteed

Bridgewater, N.J. - Like clockwork, they´re coming back -- after 17 years. "They" would be cicadas, the big, noisy bugs that climb out of the earth about every decade and a half to make everyone´s life more exciting. Experts tell Gannett News Service that the bugs live underground and feed off fluid that gathers near the roots of plants, then emerge from the soil when its temperature reaches 64 degrees. They´re largely harmless, but their sheer numbers can cause headaches. Some areas could see as many as a billion of the cicadas per square mile. That can lead to a lot of dead bugs all over roadways

Caracas - Hundreds of thousands of Venezuelan opposition supporters rallied in a staunchly pro-government part of the capital on Sunday, answering a call by their candidate Henrique Capriles and showing strength a week before the presidential election. "Today the streets of Caracas are full of happiness and hope, confirming what will happen next Sunday," Capriles, the 40-year-old governor of Miranda state, told the crowd. Capriles faces acting President Nicolas Maduro, who has vowed to continue the hard-line socialism of his late boss, Hugo Chavez, if he wins the April 14 election.

Snoop, 41, who has spoken in favor of marriage equality before, was asked by The Guardian if he believed the R&B singer´s declaration of having loved a man meant gay relationships would soon be accepted in the rap community. "Frank Ocean ain´t no rapper," Snoop is quoted as saying. "He´s a singer. It´s acceptable in the singing world, but in the rap world I don´t know if it will ever be acceptable because rap is so masculine."

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.
