Inauguration fashion: What to
wear and how to wear it

The Hill [Washington DC], by Judy Kurtz

Original Article

Just as the frenzy of an election year is cooling down, the buzz about another quadrennial happening is heating up. Yes, inauguration season is upon us in Washington, and with more than a handful of galas likely to be scheduled in addition to the main event, ITK is aiming to help you plan in advance and dress for the occasion. Keep it simple. Fashion in D.C. isn’t exactly known for being cuckoo and crazy, and some style experts suggest inauguration isn’t the time to buck that trend.

It´s the people in D.C. who are cuckoo and crazy.

That said I doubt the people in Staten Island and Breezy Point give good damn about inauguration fashion.

Since the election was stolen in the Battleground states, I suggest black and white stripes as befitting the gangster group, on the other hand, orange is just too uncool and Anna Wintour would look pale in comparison. There is such contempt for these groupies hanging on to the Obamas´ coat tails, I hope the next four years go by fast before we have open insurrection!

In a move some claim is tantamount to social engineering, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is imposing a new rule that would allow the feds to track diversity in America’s neighborhoods and then push policies to change those it deems discriminatory. The policy is called, "Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing." It will require HUD to gather data on segregation and discrimination in every single neighborhood and try to remedy it. HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan unveiled the federal rule at the NAACP convention in July. "Unfortunately, in too many of our hardest hit communities, no matter how hard

WASHINGTON— President Barack Obama says the U.S. is providing an additional $195 million in humanitarian and food aid to Syria. That means the U.S. has now sent more than $1 billion in humanitarian aid since the 2-year-old Syrian civil war started. Obama is timing the new aid to coincide with Eid al-Fitr (ayd ahl-FIH´-tur), a holiday marking the end of Ramadan, Islam´s holy month of fasting. Obama says many Americans have celebrated Ramadan with Muslims. (Snip) The White House issued the statement Wednesday while Obama was traveling in California.

On MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski alighted on one of the great low-hanging-fruit debates of modern media: whether MSNBC and Fox News are merely mirror images of each other on opposing sides of the country’s ideological divide. The discussion between the two MSNBCers began after they mentioned Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus’s attack on CNN and NBC for planning specials on Hillary Rodham Clinton. Brzezinski talked about getting Priebus on MSNBC to chat about things, but she said that he already had his proprietary outlet in Fox News. Then it got going: Scarborough:

Love. It’s the most powerful word in the English language. When it is flanked by two pronouns, it becomes the most powerful sentence in the English language: I love you. Those three words change hearts. They change lives. They change everything. It doesn’t matter what part of the world you live in or what language you speak, there are the equivalents of those three words. And they carry with them the same power everywhere they’re uttered. For the person saying them, and the one hearing them.
