"War on Men" Column Causes Stir,

RUSH: Another story I´ve been holding here in abeyance for most of the week. Well, I got back on Wednesday. The story ran on Fox News back on November 24th, which was shortly after Thanksgiving. It´s by a woman, and her name is Suzanne Venker. She works at Fox News.com. I don´t think she´s on the air anywhere. Her piece is called "The War on Men." I´ll give you a couple pull quotes from this story. "I’ve accidentally stumbled upon a subculture of men who’ve told me, in no uncertain terms, that they’re

Maybe one reason why modern women are angry is that they´ve been taught to be sexually promiscuous with those men that they are supposed to hate and they are doing it for nothing. No wedding ring, no respect, no security, no commitment, no strings or promises whatsoever. Big surprise that men don´t want to get married. It´s that old thing about not buying the cow if you can get the milk for free.

I´ll add to #2s thoughts, so many women offer themselves to XBox playing, no-responsiblity, party-hard dirtbags who may, if pushed, fork over a few hundred for a quickie abortion, if the woman is lucky. The nice guys? Those guys they will take to the cleaners.

Every time I read articles like this, I feel so lucky to have my wife. A woman who works hard, publishes books on the side, values me as a man, has no problem with a man who acts like a man, has no problem asking for help and admitting she can´t do it all, loves me for who I am, loves the kids, appreciates the finer things in life, and supports me 100%, as I do her.

Many women don´t understand the basics, the same applies to a friendship. Ask yourself, why would someone want a relationship with me? What do I bring to the table? Then be that person.

And the guy that thinks a Hybrid is saving the earth, plays Xbox in his 30s/40s/50s with a passion, can´t fix a flat, freaks out with a power outage, has never mowed a lawn, thinks homeowners are selfish, hates trucks, wears alot of man makeup, shave his legs for his cargo shorts, believes in abortion for birth control, doesn´t want to talk about God, and has never had a decent job.....maybe, just maybe don´t date that guy.

I´d say your wife is extremely blessed too, #3.

Reply 5 - Posted by: Rael, 12/1/2012 12:59:44 AM     (No. 9042402)

This is the very reason why I never got married. Women always wanted to ´compete´ with me and not be a woman and let me be a man. The fact is, they couldn´t compete with me. And they got upset when they found out they had no chance of competing against me and winning.
It got to the point literally that I was better off being with other men and only being with a woman when I wanted to have sex if I wanted to be treated with any kind of respect and decency.
All I ever wanted was a woman to love, and to take care of and raise a family, but women don´t want that anymore. They think that men are less than human, idiots, and incompetents.

Reply 6 - Posted by: doctorfixit, 12/1/2012 2:00:36 AM     (No. 9042441)

I have two young sons and the prospects for them finding a decent wife are bleak. They don´t ask me but if they did I would recommend they look to a foreign country where women don´t hate American men so much. I find young American women so hopelessly brainwashed, self-centered, materialistic, angry, and spoiled rotten that they´re a divorce waiting to happen. And there really isn´t that much sex going on either, truth be told.

I am 59 and widowed. Let me tell you this poison is not limited t 30 something´s. I am finding two types: forever single women who can´t even define ltr and divorced women who have at least (think) they´ve tried it, they seem to have no idea at all about dealing with me, a real solid hand´s on man. The article describes their anger perfectly

Maybe Lucianne should set up a singles site...

President Post-partisan is submitting a bait-and-switch budget to Congress this week: more taxes, more spending, and it´s only two months after the legal deadline. So that´s another year for the locusts. Scott Johnson at Powerline was already talking about the year the locusts ate at the end of 2009. For a bit of context, Winston Churchill gave his "Locust Years" speech in November 1936, and he was talking about the mere two years that the locusts had eaten since Hitler had come to power and started rearmament.

So maybe life in the old days wasn´t all Ozzy and Harriet, or Wally and Beaver. In their day, however, we do know that one in ten school-age children were not being diagnosed with ADHD. That also means two-thirds of those children were not being treated with stimulants like Ritalin and Adderall. Neither were 5% of 12-19 year olds taking anti-depressants. This raises the question: besides the egregious influence of pill-pushing pharmaceutical companies, what was different in American life previous to the prescription drug culture in which our children now live?

North Korea intensified threats of an imminent conflict against the United States and the South on Tuesday, warning foreigners to evacuate South Korea to avoid being dragged into a "merciless, sacred, retaliatory war". The North´s latest antagonistic message belied an atmosphere free of anxiety in the South Korean capital, where the city center was bustling with traffic and offices operated normally. Pyongyang has shown no sign of preparing its 1.2 million-strong army for war, indicating the threat could be partly intended to bolster Kim Jong-un, 30, the third in his family to lead the reclusive country.

Mrs. Thatcher’s predecessor as prime minister, the amiable but forgotten Sunny Jim Callaghan, once confided to a friend of mine that he thought Britain’s decline was irreversible and that the government’s job was to manage it as gracefully as possible. By 1979, even this modest aim seemed beyond the capabilities of the British establishment, and the nation turned to a woman who was one of the few even in a supposedly “conservative” party not to subscribe to the Callaghan thesis. She reversed the decline, at home and overseas.

Obama´s gun control proposals have run into resistance on Capitol Hill, leaving their fate in doubt. Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

The Pentagon has plans to deploy its first ever ship-mounted laser next year, a disruptive, cutting-edge weapon capable of obliterating small boats and unmanned aerial vehicles with a blast of infrared energy. Navy officials announced Monday that in early 2014, a solid-state laser prototype will be mounted to the fantail of the USS Ponce and sent to the 5th fleet region in the Middle East for real-world experience. Video released by the Navy shows the laser lock onto a slow-moving target, in this case an unmanned drone, which bursts aflame in mid-flight. The drone soon

President Barack Obama said his budget--to be released Wednesday--would not spend beyond our means. “It’s a budget that doesn’t spend beyond our means, and it’s a budget that doesn’t make harsh and unnecessary cuts that only serve to slow our economy,” Obama said Saturday during his weekly address. “We’ll keep our promise to an aging generation by shoring up Medicare, and we’ll keep our promise to the next generation by investing in the fundamentals that always made America strong--manufacturing, innovation, energy and education.” However, on Friday, White House Spokesman Jay Carney did not say the president´s budget would ever balance

Margaret Thatcher had more impact on the world than any woman ruler since Catherine the Great of Russia. Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.

They’re saying they won’t allow any votes on them at all. They’re saying your opinion doesn’t matter. And that’s not right.”

In that dreary winter of 1979, the piles of uncollected trash in London´s Finsbury Park seemed to stretch for miles. The garbagemen were on strike. So too, at one time or another, were hospital workers, ambulance drivers, truck drivers, railwaymen. Also gravediggers: In Liverpool, corpses had to be warehoused as they awaited burial—yet another long queue that socialist Britain had arranged for its patient masses. This was the "Winter of Discontent," when Great Britain came about as close to economic collapse as at nearly any point in its peacetime history, and it was

President Obama will release his overdue budget on Wednesday. It will doubtless project a reduction in the federal budget deficit—a projection that journalists, commentators and policy makers should ignore. To do otherwise is to be complicit in fraud. Strong statement? Not really. For 50 years or so the federal government has deliberately and to an increasing extent misstated probable future budget deficits. Democrats and Republicans are guilty. The White House is guilty. And so is Congress. Private firms that deliberately misrepresent their financial statements in this fashion would be guilty of a crime. The magnitude of the misrepresentation is breathtaking.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”
