Adam Carolla blames Mexican immigrants and their imported ´culture´ for California´s struggles

| On his Wednesday podcast, comedian Adam Carolla blamed Mexican immigrants for overwhelming and destroying California’s troubled public-education system. “Schools are f***ing ruined, and schools are ruined — not because they’re out of money, but because we’re flooded with Mexicans, and they’re not into studying,” Carolla said. “They don’t come from that culture, and we’re not asking them to change. That’s the thing. We have a culture that is not focused on the schoolwork. It’s a different culture. It’s, by the way, why their culture is failing, and their country, ironically — it’s why they’re here.

Comments: This is a nice rant. Probably won´t win Mr. Carolla many friends in the neighborhood he resides in.

One thing I´ve noticed for years when I talk with people from Mexico is that they just shrug and accept corruption from their federal and local governments. It´s almost as if they expect all politicians to be corrupt. This might explain why they vote for Democrats and aren´t too bothered by things like bankruptcy, dishonesty and negligence that results in fatalities in our current administration.
As long as the government hands out bennies, a Dictator for Life isn´t worth the concern.

Just read an article below that claimed that Mexico was really doing well financially. So what is with their people straggling over here for freebies? I am sick and tired of them begging on street corners or outside of a mall. Go home and make your country live up to that article. We also have canadians sneaking in here for medical treatment - not saying that they do not pay for it, but government running anything turns into something rotten.

Corolla will be excoriated for his comments, but had they been spoken by Bill Maher, nobody would give them a second thought.
As Corolla stated, `Are there ****** up things about our culture? Yes.`, and one of them is liberalism, which has wrought our current situation.

Number Two, excellent points.
The low morals and low standards are a win-win for the corrupt DimWits who want them here.
Everybody´s in on the cheating and corruption and can benefit from it. Or so they think.
Eventually there will be nothing left to plunder. When America is no longer recognizable, the Mexicans will say (as they already do) - "Hey man, give us back the territories you took from Mexico. We´ve already ruined it anyways, man... It´s, like... ours!"

Can´t endorse this. The US people have made their own problems. And California - was an enthusiastic leader.
What Carolla complains of was wholly predictable. We could have chosen otherwise.

The maipulative, unethical and questionably corrupt Congress, -delegated by the Constitution to fund their legislation, ...plus the failure to simply enforce the law by the Presidential Administrations for over 2 decades, are both equally responsible for allowing the ILLEGAL immigration debacle.
Also, they are responsible for the general disrespect for law enforcement as a direct result of their neglect regarding ILLEGAL aliens throughout the past 2 decades. ...Instead of the law being efficiently & equally enforced, it has become a political football used by beltway pols for subjective favoritism for their own re-election votes. mmm mmm mmm

Not really. It´s the unions with their strangle hold on the government that are the biggest problem. They have manipulated every situation, so anything the Mexicans have done is downstream of that.
It may be unpopular, but Mexicans, for the most part, come here to work and they do. Unfortunately, the corrupt Cali government (corrupted by union money) puts out the welcome mat to Mexican gangs and grifters too. Plenty of every race in those two categories, but at least legal citizens are somewhat known.

#5 - Yes, and one reason Mexico is doing well is because millions of legal and illegal Mexicans in the US transfer the billions in cash they have earned here legally and illegally back to Mexico. Another reason the Mexican gov´t wants open borders with us on our border - but not for itself on its own southern border.

On his radio show this week, conservative talker Mark Levin said that Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, who on Tuesday claimed that opponents of same-sex marriage do nothing but “thump the Bible,” should stop degrading his audience. “Thump the Bible?” Levin asked. “Have I thumped the Bible once in an hour and a half on the air today? … Why are you putting down your audience? I thought you stood for the folks. And you sound like [President Barack] Obama, with the ‘clinging to their guns and religion’ line. You should show respect to your audience.”

On Rush Limbaugh’s radio show on Monday, National Review’s Mark Steyn explained why an incident involving a seven-year-old boy’s punishment and the subsequent reaction for chewing a Pop Tart in the shape of a gun is a sign the country is “doomed.” Steyn, author of “After America: Get Ready for Armageddon,” compared this generation of children, who may have felt threatened by the so-called Pop Tart gun, to the American generation that stormed the beaches of Normandy. “You’re doomed, America,” Steyn said. “You’re done for. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.
