Obama plans campaign-style
trip to push higher taxes

Washington Times, by Susan Crabtree

President Obama is hitting the hustings in a campaign-style push for tax increases, and his first stop is Pennsylvania — a battleground state with the kinds of Republicans who he thinks could be amenable to being swayed by grass-roots pressure. Since his re-election three weeks ago, Mr. Obama has stuck to his campaign message that raising taxes on high earners is the best way to reduce the nation’s soaring deficits and avoid veering off the so-called “fiscal cliff.” He has spent the past two weeks trying to drum up additional public support

In time, revenues will decrease and the left will be clueless as usual. They either don´t understand human nature, or delude themselves to think they can change it.

And the rubes will probably fall for it. Taxing the "rich" will raise about enough additional money to run the government for a day or so, do nothing to improve the deficit and peter out as the "rich" figure out ways around it.

Eventually, one must hope, that even all the gullible Obamaphiles will snap and ask why this yahoo is still in campaign mode when the country is going to hell in a handcart.

Obama and the Senate are a bunch of fools. Raising taxes when the nation is in a recession only aggravates the recession.

Four more years of this idiot.

Here is Van Jones´s 10 point Marxist manifesto that sounds like communism - and Obie´s campaign (and continuing) talking points. See if you don´t agree:

Re the Van Jones 10-point manifesto, here is #8 - on taxes:

VII. Return to Fairer Tax Rates – End, once and for all, the Bush-era tax giveaways for the rich, which the rest of us — or our kids — must pay eventually. Outlaw corporate tax havens and tax breaks for shipping jobs overseas. And with millionaires and billionaires taking a growing share of our country’s wealth, let’s add new tax brackets for those making more than $1 million annually.

Sound familiar? The rest of the 10 points are similarly familiar.

Zippy should have asked David Walker to have lunch with him and Mitt.

Less and less citizens are working and paying taxes. He will never collect enough money from the wealthy to cover everyone. It is a losing battle.

Maybe he invited Mitt to let him know how much more he will pay in taxes to cover his peeps.

We may not be in such a hole if he hadn´t been campaigning around the country on our dime for the last four years. I thought he was elected to run the country. I didn´t vote for him and I certainly didn´t vote for ValJar who prolly is running the country in his absence. It is astounding to me that people have not taken notice of what is going on in the UK and France. Both current leaders raised taxes so high on the wealthy (90% in France), the wealthy are fleeing in droves with their money, their capital, liquidating their assets and taking their skill, talent and experience with them. The US is on the same path.

Take a look at CA as a portent for the entire country. CA is so highly taxed and so poorly managed/governed (worst in the US), that the wealthiest are leaving and moving to business friendly states like TX and FL.

Also, if you live or do business in CA, much of NY and parts of the NE, $250,000 for a family of say four or five does not go very far. Worse, if you are a high volume, but low return retailer, the BO taxes are going to wipe you out. BO´s revival of the estate tax is wiping out family farms nationally and the massive property tax hike in CA will render real property impossible to sell or buy.

So all you idiot BO voters when you gas is $5.00, like mine, you have no job or insurance or a low paying job...you voted for it so you own it.

From an article yesterday: "According to the Congressional Budget Office, the top 1 percent of US earners already pay 22.3 percent of all federal income taxes (based on 2009 figures), even though their share of total income earned is just 13.3 percent."

That tax share is almost twice as high as the income share. Stinky says, "More!"

Meanwhile, no one is mentioning that the "cliff" itself is the result of 4 years of Obama´s intentional mismanagement. If he had wanted to avoid it, why did he do everything in his power to bring us here in the first place?

Events may soon bring us to the point where Democrats will be compelled, or feel more emboldened, to admit their true intentions. None of which are good.

Military officials said they are investigating the conduct of a U.S. Marine who was on assignment for President Obama’s trip to the Netherlands last week, after witnesses said he was talking in detail about his job and passing around his government security badge during a night of drinking at a bar. The Marine, Korey Nathan Pritchett, was first identified by a Dutch newspaper based on witness accounts and smartphone photos taken during the partying, which happened two nights before Obama arrived at The Hague for a nuclear security summit. Democrat Rep. Nancy Pelosi just might be a racist monster who wants to murder live children for the sake of eliminating “undesirables.” Why would I say such an outrageous thing? Because Pelosi has accepted an award named for Margaret Sanger. Barring a miraculous upsurge in President Obama’s dismal 41% approval rating, Hillary Clinton’s run for president in 2016 will be a steep uphill climb. Clinton will need to walk a political tight rope, distancing herself from Obama without coming across as a disloyal member of the president’s political coterie. With high school seniors and their families now deciding where to enroll for college next fall, they might want to take a gander at research showing the best -- and worst -- values for a degree. The shocker in a survey by PayScale, a research firm that focuses on compensation, is that there are schools where students would have been better off not attending. Why? The 20-year net return on their college investment amounts to a financial loss, even when financial aid is included.
