Gay Mosque to Open in
Paris, Address to Be Secret

ABC News, by Dragana Jovanovic

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 11/29/2012 12:16:17 PM

Ludovic Mohammed Zahed is braced for controversy, maybe even worse. A gay Muslim and an expert on the Koran, Zahed plans to open Europe´s first gay-friendly mosque in Paris at the end of this month. He calls it a place of shelter as well as a place of worship. "We need to have a safe space for people who do not feel comfortable and at ease in normal mosques," Zahed told ABC News. "There are transgender people who fear aggression, women who do not want to wear head scarf or sit in the back of the mosque.

Comments:
This will go over well with the tolerant Muslims. I´m surprised Hillary hasn´t gushed over this huge step forward. s/o

Funny how one headline can encapsulate so much truth.

It would be tragic if anyone is hurt over this, but given certain mentalities, it would not be surprising. It is not clear how a ´religion´ can both hate and murder homosexuals, while also engaging openly in the practice. What makes the practice a death sentence for one, and an acceptable practice, for another?

Morell is set to testify publicly for the first time on Wednesday about his role in crafting the controversial Benghazi "talking points," which initially blamed a protest for the deadly attack. The White House took steps Friday toward issuing methane emissions regulations at hydraulic fracturing sites, a move that would slash greenhouse gas emissions in hopes of meeting President Obama´s climate goals but will invite backlash from industry. The news is a victory for environmental groups, which note that methane -- a short-lived, potent greenhouse gas that has a 20 times greater impact on climate change than carbon dioxide -- is the largest remaining unregulated greenhouse gas, accounting for 9 percent of U.S. emissions. The oil and gas industry, however, has warned that regulating methane emissions would stunt domestic energy production by raising
