The White House’s Benghazi
bungling is proving a disaster

Telegraph [UK], by Nile Gardiner

President Obama hasn’t even begun his second term yet, but his administration is already struggling with a huge credibility problem on the Benghazi front. Watch this video posted today at The Weekly Standard, which shows White House Press Secretary Jay Carney telling National Journal correspondent Major Garrett that Obama “is not particularly concerned” whether Susan Rice misled the American people in a series of talk show interviews following the killing of US Ambassador Christopher Stephens and three other US personnel in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11. Carney told the assembled White House press corps: What the president is worried about,

...it´s sad when one has to go to the British press to make sure they are not going crazy. Saw the video of Carney earlier in the day. Could not believe the ´tude that was projected...

...I know they have only had 2 1/2 months since, but I would love to know exactly where and with who the president was with during the events. That could give great clarity to the debacle...

...everything else including Petraeus is so much window dressing. Watergate was a little story at election time. It took til the following summer to blow apart. I trust that in today´s world, it won´t take quite as long...

The new crisis will come, Benghazi will be forgotten in the smoke of the new crisis. Democrats now rule, so, we´ll just have to ´Move On´ like we did past the Clinton cigar/blue dress/lies debacle. Don´t you people get it? Democrats have the reigns of our government, now. So- what do you expect will happen?

I didn´t see it in the MSM, but caught a fleeting spot on the radio.

The President may not be ´´particularly concerned´´ that Susan Rice lied to several TV talkshow panels, but if he nominates her for Secretary of State and she lies to Congress under oath during her confirmation hearings, she will be committing perjury and could end up in jail.

That may not ´´particularly concern´´ the President either, but if Ms. Rice testifies at her trial that the President asked her to lie to Congress, the President could be convicted of suborning perjury, and that might finally cause the President a little concern.

Nah, #4. Clinton skated on suborning perjury. If he can get away with it, you know that the historic first sort of black messianic president will skate like a roller derby queen.

We´re learning now that Rice tried to help cover up the Rwanda slaughter during the Clinton administration when Clinton was taking heat for not doing anything about the matter. She´s just not to be trusted.

Something that has been completely forgotten in all this is what happened in Cairo. OK, maybe that riot was the result of outrage over ´the video´, but if you recall, mob participants scaled our Enbassy walls there, pulled down our American flag, burned it, and raised up their own al qaeda flag, all the while shouting ´´Obama! We are Osama!´´

It was there, prior to the events in Benghazi, that our Marines were ordered also to STAND DOWN.

That Embassy WAS staffed by a Marines guard - why were they ordered to stand down in Cairo?

It was SEPTEMBER 11, for God´s sake!

I still firmly believe these events were set in motion intentionally, by forces who wanted to use this ´outrage´ to their advantage for other reasons - not the religion of pieces. Who could that be.......?

Other than that, no big deal.

P.S. Explosive stuff, #7! I missed it at the time - wish I´d seen it when it was first new. Susan Rice is an unmitigated one-woman disaster for the U.S.!

A couple of coinkydinks to ponder:

1. Does anyone else notice that Susan Rice looks A LOT like Eric Holder?

2. The Ambassador to the Sudan in the Clinton years referred to in #7´s link was Tim Carney. Any relation to the #1 PressBoy?

"is not particularly concerned" and so was a majority (however slim) of the American voting public lst Novemebr 6, 2012.

Rice pushed to get US involvement in Libya to prevent genocide - remember that was Obama´s justification for ignoring Congress to start the air war against Ghaddafi. I suspect that in some ways, Ms. Rice has been much more engaged in foreign policy than her boss, Hillary, who has been busy on her world wine tasting tour.

I don`t think Benghazi has been a disaster for Obama. He has been skating on this issue like all the other issues. Nothing can touch this guy. Others may be hammered over it but Barack continues on his marxist way seemingly unconcerned. After all, he won reelection so the public at large didn`t seem to care about it either. Also, the GOP has been unable/unwilling or just plain asleep at the wheel with regard to using this issue to gain an upper hand on the fiscal cliff/tax issues.

Susan Rice and Hillary Clinton do not like each other. Why? Susan Rice´s new job at the UN was a thorn in Hillary´s side. There was some competition there as there were dualing offices at State. That may not have happened, but the more we find out about Susan Rice the better it is for our country. We know Hillary is a huge Lefty. Susan is, too. The State Dept is full of them because I know a couple. Start digging for info, because this is going to get ugly. They are all incomptetnts pretending that they are the opposite.

Obama´s not concerned about Susan because he knows she will lie for him at every turn. Apparently Hillary will not lie anymore for him. What´s a faithful Commie to do? Send out someone that will. Susan got the job with the promise that she would be SOS. Is this a great country, or what?

What millions call, "the left", and even more fools call "liberals", are all Democrats (and much too many Republicans) promoting socialism, fascism and communism. For many stealth decades, the media, all of academe, quietly laying in all the language and indoctrination of cultural Marxism, destroying individualism, like an as yet undiscovered cancer. There are no exceptions. There are two Obama stories. One is what actually happened. The other: what Obama, comrades and 90% of the media instruct us (brainwash us), on what happened. Indoctrination. What we get is the cowardly blindsiding of the four deaths in Benghazi, done effectively by the complicit protectorate of the Diane Sawyers, TV Mafia Media thugs, the elite limo media that follows all Party Line orders. Their uniformly omissive watch dog press, gave Obama an already crooked election. Call them rigid followers of The Party Line, right out of Hitler & Stalin. This one grand omitting distortion saved his fraudulent election. Is the carelessly promising Obama, a second Hitler? Are the protective propaganda Sawyers, another Goebells ?

The only salvation for America is Almighty God. Nothing changed! We have forsaken Him and allowed Obama to take over.

It is only in God´s Son, Jesus, that man is saved! It is so simple. When, we, as a country, repent, get down on our knees, declare Jesus is Lord and His Word is true, then and only then will we be set free.

God is able to deliver US from all evil - here and abroad!

Open your dusty Bible, read it with a desire to be set free! The Old Testament provides US with the ways/means of salvation, being saved physically as well as spiritually!

God loves His creation and ever responds to the call/prayer of those who sincerely come, willing to follow His plan, able to stand firm in the Truth that US free!

Our founding fathers provided US with the determination to stand up for righteousness.

Where are our leaders today?

Have entitlements caused the havoc we experience today?

What is "most" important for US to survive/thrive?

The answer to all these questions is found in God´s Word.

Stand up for Righteousness!

God´s way is always the best way and it leads us all to the eternal Kingdom prepared for those who love Jesus, King of "all" kings/Lord of "all" lords!

Again, pray for America!

May we shine bright again, for the whole world to see, also to know Who set US free - Jesus Christ, God´s only-begotten Son!

Benghazi: Behind the scenes (Part II)

- Doug Hagmann Thursday, November 29, 2012

Author’s note: This is part two of a multi-part interview with a government insider intimately familiar with the events that took place in Benghazi. It is important to note that the information contained in this series was developed from interviews that spanned over 100 hours. In this part, the insider provides information about the events of the attack and the continuation of the cover-up at the highest levels of our government. (For Part I, please click here).

We’ve heard different accounts and different timelines concerning the attack at Benghazi. What exactly happened?

First, people must understand that the compound that was attacked was situated in a somewhat rural area and was not a consulate, but a rented villa, or a residential structure. The residence was the primary building, and what has been referred to as the annex was located about 1800 feet away as the crow flies, but just over a mile to travel by road. And again, visible security was not present as the compound was the headquarters for a covert operation. No one wanted to draw attention to what was taking place at this location.

The first indications of problems there began at least twelve-(12) hours before the first shot was even fired. One of the men at the compound observed a policeman or Libyan security officer taking photographs outside of t

As the US and China grow increasingly involved, Kim Jong-un must be brought into line if war is not to be triggered by an act of recklessness. There are two schools of thought about what lies behind North Korea’s increasingly frenzied posturing. The first goes like this: the rhetoric emanating from Pyongyang--including calls to “break the waists of the crazy enemies [and] totally cut their windpipes”--is no worse than their decades-old ritualistic promises to turn South Korea into a “sea of fire”. The political race many had anticipated would unfold in the 1st congressional district--the national comedian’s sister versus the once-disgraced governor angling for a comeback--is here. Former Gov. Mark Sanford won Tuesday’s GOP runoff over former Charleston County Councilman Curtis Bostic, according to unofficial results. Sanford now faces five more weeks on the campaign trail before a May 7 showdown with Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch, whose business background and moderate politics are expected to create a tight contest. Lowcountry voters haven’t elected a Democrat from the 1st District for more than three decades, but Colbert Busch already has shown

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

Sen. John McCain says he doesn´t understand the threats from some of his Republican colleagues to filibuster a bill on background checks to buy guns. "I don´t understand it," the Arizona Republican said on Sunday of the threat coming from Sen. Rand Paul,Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Mike Lee and nine other Republicans. "The purpose of the United States Senate is to debate and to vote and to let the people know where we stand.” "What are we afraid of? ... If this issue is as important as we all think it is, why not take ... it up and debate?"

Why Obama´s ´Best-Looking Attorney

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. (Snip) Last month, the Nielsen Co. started labeling people in this group "Zero TV" households, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. There are 5 million of these residences in the U.S., up from

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson, considered by some to be a potential Republican contender for president, apologized to Johns Hopkins University for the "poorly chosen words" he used in expressing his opposition to gay marriage last month.“I am sorry for any embarrassment this has caused,” Carson said in the letter, reported in New York Magazine.(Snip) "Although I do believe marriage is between a man and a woman, there are much less offensive ways to make that point. I hope all will look at a lifetime of service over some poorly chosen words.” Carson will remain as commencement speaker at Johns Hopkins,

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —

Beyonce and Jay-Z celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Cuba this week. The couple, who married on April 4, 2008, took in the sights of Old Havana, visited a school, dined on a rooftop terrace and strolled the fan-filled streets in their island best.(snip).The power couple declined to answer journalists´ questions about their visit to the island nation, but some outlets are reporting that the moguls are there as tourists, though that would be illegal because of the half-century embargo the U.S. has on the Communist country. However, the Miami Herald said Washington has issued special licenses for
