As the Secretary of State is expected to soon announce her departure from the Obama administration, she has spoken in a surprisingly candid manner about the importance of her Christian faith on her career in public service. Hillary Clinton, who was raised in the United Methodist Church, once said her heritage instilled in her the ´obligation´ to relieve suffering but now the 65-year-old has gone even further, calling her faith ´fundamental´ to her identity. The personal statement by the former first lady turned senator turned cabinet member comes amid the unending speculation that she has her eye

she now wants to rub elbows with the christians. She´ll work for the woman´s vote, religious vote, she is the wife of the lst black president, and she´ll kneed all venues to herd, yes herd, the uninformed in a direction towards pens.

She lies, is unhonorable, and does not bring merit to the religion she now says she adhers to today. Where has she been all these past years? Where is she in regard to speaking up for the situation in
Benghazi????

Her profile building and campaigning has begun. Many are leaving the United Methodist Church because of of its position toward Israel and gay marriage.

Except for the women her husband attacked, I guess. Another reason the Methodist church, among others, is dying.

#14, I think the two terms are not mutually exclusive, at least in the thinking of the "social justice" members of the United Methodist Church. After recently reading Paul Kengor´s book "The Communist" (about Barack Obama´s mentor, Frank Marshall Davis), I was reminded that there were many ministers of the Methodist persuasion who were duped into supporting the Communist Party USA, buying into the "social justice" line. Of course, they also had to ignore the fact that the Communist leaders were atheists who were destroying the church and all forms of religion in the USSR and China.

As Christians we are all called to help those less fortunate as the body of Christ - the church. NOT as the federal government. The church´s mission is not politics. I don´t want government in my religion and I don´t want religion in my politics. We have gone too far down the wrong road I believe.

If Hillary is interested in relieving suffering, she just took an important step toward relieving the suffering of the Republican party by starting her 2016 presidential campaign so early.

The only other reason besides politics that Hillary would suddenly burst out in an unbidden ode to her religion is that she´s suddenly turned into one of the those bag ladies who walk down the street talking about whatever pops into their crazy heads.

Just yesterday, Joe Biden also began his 2016 presidential candidacy by acting like the issue of battered women had suddenly become a big f@#$%ing deal and he was interested in exploiting it to build a constituency for himself.

So, they´re off and running, and the media will be following their every foolish utterance and mud-slinging accusation against the other, and the big question will be whether the Democratic party, not the Republican party, is hopelessly divided.

Being Methodist is fundamental to who I am, too. But I guarantee you my understanding of Methodism is not the same as Shrillary´s. Nothing wrong with social justice. Providing for the sick, the needy, the imprisoned, and such is what we Methodists do, and have since the denomination was founded. John Wesley was big on being charitable. But charity is giving of oneself with your time, money and worldly goods. It´s called personal responsibility. But that´s not what acolytes of Liberation Theology like Shrill believe. They believe in using the Church as a tool of the government, which in and of itself is a tool which robs Peter to redistribute to Paul. Heaven forbid she part with any of her worldly goods or mingle among the riff raff herself. It´s Methodists like her that give the rest of us a bad name. I´ll take my brand of Methodism over her´s any day.

Hours after the Lockerbie atrocity, Mrs Thatcher was wading through the carnage wrought by terrorists over a small Scottish town, paying her condolences to the bereaved. It had been a long and harrowing day, but when she arrived back in London late that night she still found time to phone me at home. Her voice was anxious, kind. She asked: ‘How is Ray, dear?’ The day before, my husband had suffered a serious accident and Mrs Thatcher had been characteristically solicitous, offering her car to run me home.

What Freire found was an evident sense of admiration for Chavez’s accomplishments as the Latin American state’s autocratic leader, but a distinct lack of respect for Thatcher’s achievements in office. “Love her or loathe her, one thing’s beyond dispute: Margaret Thatcher transformed Britain,” AP opened the former U.K. prime minister’s obituary on Monday.

Is ObamaCare the reform to end all other reforms? The massive health care law´s problems are well known. Major tax hikes and Medicare cuts will fund a massive new government program, rather than shore up the nation´s finances. ObamaCare already is encouraging companies to cut jobs and work hours. With the administration delaying the insurance exchanges that might help small businesses until 2015, even ObamaCare cheerleaders are growing worried. Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

North Korea’s young leader Kim Jong-un is waiting for United States President Barack Obama to make a phone call to Pyongyang to discuss easing tensions on the Korean peninsula, according to Russia’s news agency Itar-Tass. The report cited United Kingdom diplomats, saying Pyongyang was demanding the U.S. president personally call Kim Jong-un as one of the conditions to relieve the current conflict at hand. Itar-Tass also quoted the U.K.’s Sky News as saying North Korea currently has eight nuclear warheads.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. (Snip) Last month, the Nielsen Co. started labeling people in this group "Zero TV" households, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. There are 5 million of these residences in the U.S., up from

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

More than 700 Special Operations veterans are urging members of Congress to back a select committee to investigate last year’s Benghazi terrorist attack, according to a letter first obtained by Fox News. The letter from the group, “Special Operations Speaks,” supports the appointment of a special committee tasked with the single mission of investigating the attack that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead, and shut down the CIA operation in an annex of the Benghazi consulate, in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack. “Congress must show some leadership and provide answers to the public

Chelsea Clinton has raised her profile in the last few days, which sparked the inevitable question about the former first daughter´s future: Will she ever be like Mom and Dad and run for office? Clinton, 33, essentially said "maybe" in an interview that aired Monday on NBC´s Today show. "Right now I´m grateful to live in a city, a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, my governor, my president and my senators and my representative," said Clinton, whose father, Bill, was president from 1993-2001 and her mother, Hillary

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —
