| The teenage actor who plays the half in the hit CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men" says in a video posted online by a Christian church that the show is "filth" and that viewers shouldn´t watch it. Nineteen-year-old Angus T. Jones has been on the show, which used to feature bad-boy actor Charlie Sheen and remains heavy with sexual innuendo, since he was 10 but says he doesn´t want to be on it anymore. "Please stop watching it," Jones said. "Please stop filling your head with filth."

God BLESS him for speaking the cold hard truth. If even one young adult pauses to think, the persecution heaped on him will be worth it.

Another Hollywood mental midget lectures us on morals. Just give back all the money they gave you for your part in it and we´re good. Otherwise you´re having it both ways.
And....as a grumpy old blue collar type who was a bachelor for 40+ years, I thought it was all kinds of funny. Not for kids but still funny.

I listen to live streaming most of the day, and commercials for this trash are played and it is filthy and highly offensive. I would never watch it and hate that I have to listen to the clips from it in the commercials. It is not suitable for children to hear. WHAT kind of people think that it is entertainment?

Dittos I feel so much better since I kicked Time-Warner cable out of my house over a year ago. Why pay money to have that garbage pumped into your home? The stuff on TV today isn´t fit for human consumption. I get much better quality news online as well as learn something worthwhile. There should be a general boycott of the present day TV/Mainstream Media industry.

It is filth. And the other show I call "The Big Smut Theory". Sorry, but these writers are either gay or not getting enough. We cancelled cable about 5 years ago with no regrets. I have commented to my family that the CBS Monday lineup says: "you may have gone to church yesterday, but we´ll fix that".

I only watched it long enough to find out how disgusting it was. In prime time at that. I wondered how this boys parents could condone him being on that show. As for poster 3s sarcasm, maybe just maybe this young man is growing up and becoming a man. I think in the earlier years, his parents went along with it because of the money. Maybe that is coming to an end.

I watched the show when Angus was young, and I thought it hilarious. Then I found it pushing the boundaries somewhat. I recommended it to a friend as we bemoaned the passing of Everybody Loves Raymond, and she got back to me with the comment, ´´not my type of humor´´. So I watched some more of it and found it to also be not my type of humor. I check in on it once in a while and young man Angus has got it right. It´s a filthy show and totally degrading to women, not to mention to some less sexually active men like Charlie´s brother. Good for Angus for speaking out. He certainly had to grow up fast during those eight years.

To the critics on this site:
Many of us have done many things others found disgusting for many years before we recognized the "filth" we were involved with at work or play.
As Jesus said, "Let he that is without sin, cast the first stone."
Angus T. Jones was defined as the "half" of "2 & 1/2 Men" in this article. OH REALLY? I think the "men" of the series were always less controlled in life than Mr. Jones now appears to be.
As a man, he has now given his "walking papers", if the powers that be accept them,to his employer.
Who, among the critics at this site, would or have been so bold to "openly" be criticial of their incompetent or over-bearing, or "filthy" work, bosses, or companies to sacrifice their next paycheck?
Stones?
I say, Bravo, Mr Jones, on your brave stand, young man!

Bravo for this young man for speaking out against the filth of Hollyweird. I haven´t watched this dreck way before the dummy Carlos Estevez aka Charlie Sheen left. I say dummy because his brother Emilio seems to be the smart one. Colorado Rep. Diana DeGette, the lead Democratic sponsor of a federal bill to ban high-capacity magazines, is apparently unaware that such magazines can be reloaded and reused, according to a comment she made at a Denver Post-sponsored forum on gun control on Tuesday. When asked how limiting the number of bullets in magazines would help reduce violence, she replied: (snip) "So if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time, because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.”

Any adult who takes a school matter into his or her own hands – like a mother who allegedly entered Withrow High School without permission Thursday and helped her daughter beat up another girl – will be held accountable, Cincinnati Police Chief James Craig said Monday. Police say the mother, her daughter and another woman burst into a classroom at the school on Madison Road about 2 p.m. Thursday. The mother and daughter, according to police, assaulted a 15-year-old girl, striking her with fists, feet and a combination lock. Teacher Kim Kilby suffered a black eye in the scuffle.

Vice President Joe Biden announced Thursday that he will recommend new gun control measures to President Barack Obama, which include more comprehensive background checks on gun buyers and limits on the sizes of ammunition magazines. The proposal could lead to the most significant move on guns in 20 years, but one regulation highly coveted by gun control advocates is notably missing: a ban on assault weapons.

Last June, Urooj Khan literally jumped for joy as he stood in a Far North Side 7-Eleven, having just learned he held a $1 million-winning instant lottery ticket. Less than a month later, Khan, 46, died at his West Rogers Park home — of apparent hardening of the arteries. But now, Khan’s death has been reclassified as a homicide, and investigators say he died from cyanide poisoning. Investigators are moving toward exhuming Khan’s body for further tests, Cook County Chief Medical Examiner Stephen J. Cina said Monday.

First things first. At 12:00:00 a.m., we go over the fiscal cliff. And at 12:00:01 a.m., most Americans will be talking about the new year, not the new fiscal regime. That´s entirely appropriate. In theory, midnight will usher in huge policy shifts: The tax code will return to what it was in the Clinton era, while a series of automatic spending cuts will begin to take effect. (snip) It’s as if President George W. Bush finally won—the tax cuts he’d always wanted would be staying on the books indefinitely, "starving the [government] beast" of the resources it needs to survive.

At the moment it is a faint object, visible only in sophisticated telescopes as a point of light moving slowly against the background stars. It doesn´t seem much – a frozen chunk of rock and ice – one of many moving in the depths of space. But this one is being tracked with eager anticipation by astronomers from around the world, and in a year everyone could know its name. Comet Ison could draw millions out into the dark to witness what could be the brightest comet seen in many generations – brighter even than the full Moon.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank
