Anti-Morsi protesters torch
Muslim Brotherhood offices

Protesters torched Muslim Brotherhood offices on Friday, state media said, as supporters and opponents of President Mohamed Morsi staged rival rallies across Egypt a day after he assumed sweeping powers. The offices of the Freedom and Justice Party (FJP), the Muslim Brotherhood´s political arm, were set ablaze in the canal cities of Ismailiya and Port Said, state television said. An FJP official told AFP the party´s office was also stormed in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria, where clashes broke out between rival demonstrators. (Snip) The decision effectively places the president above judicial oversight until a new constitution is ratified.

After a week of gushing pro-Mohamed-Morsi media adulation, particularly from the U.S. MSM, in an effort to make Mr. Morsi the world´s first respectable terrorist statesman, he´s now the target of more extensive protests by his own countrymen than his deposed predecessor Hosni Mubarek received during the Arab Spring.

The protesting citizens of Egypt, Syria, and other Middle Eastern dictatorships want freedom and democracy, which the world´s media strongly supported during the Arab Spring. But now that Egypt has a terrorist, anti-Israel, Hamas-supporting leader, they no longer seem to like protests.

Very brave protesters, just like those in Iran...and now in great danger. These people are not unlike those who revolted in Hungary and Poland while behind the Iron Curtain.

Thanks, Obama and Hillary, for toppling the devils we knew for the mob rule of the unknown.

I have no sympathy for these stupid muzzies who are so determined to toss out a western-leaning government without a thought as to what will replace it.

We´re entering another dark ages with a Muslim president at the helm of the U.S.

Well at least the Muzzies aren´t trashing and burning a U.S. embassy this time. Let them fight among themselves. Anybody with a lick of sense knew the Muslim Brotherhood was going to be nothing but trouble for Egypt. Our corrupt mainstream media acted as cheerleaders for the Muslim Brotherhood and Morsi so I knew it was going to be bad news. The mainstream media is an enemy of the American people.

WASHINGTON- In a new milestone for gay rights, Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. will issue a directive Monday expanding government recognition of same-sex marriages to all federal courtrooms and prisons, and some federal benefits programs. The new policy, which Holder plans to announce Saturday night at a gay rights dinner in New York City, means the Justice Department will not object if gay or lesbian partners refuse to testify against their spouses in federal criminal and civil cases, and will push for them to be accorded the same rights in Bankruptcy court as other married couples. The U.S. Department of Agriculture is considering adopting new regulations for zoos at the request of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) that would require “humane” treatment for bears. The proposed rules would mandate the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) to hire a “bear expert,” prohibit bear pits, and require rules so bears are not “stressed, frustrated, and bored.” PETA, which killed 1,792 stray cats and dogs in 2013, first petitioned the USDA to adopt its rules in 2012. (Snip)The 64-page petition calls for new regulations that would require zoos to provide “privacy” for bears.

ABC´s Nightline threw a gratuitous punch at Sarah Palin in a story that had nothing to do with politics, either left or right. Rather, it was an investigation of violence into kids´ little league sports and the regrettable, all too common, angry attitudes of coaches and parents. For the late night news show, ABC´s David Wright showed the audience videos of coaches encouraging kids to hit opposing teams in the head. He then showed a clip of the Will Ferrell kids´ sports comedy, Kicking and Screaming, then oddly segued to a clip of Sarah Palin. Referring to the film of

Complaining about NBC’s edits during its tape-delayed Olympics broadcast has become a sport in itself (#NBCFail quickly became a trending topic Friday). Many were upset, for example, that the network cut out the performance by pop group t.A.T.u. from its broadcast of the Olympics opening ceremony. But there was one edit from the opening ceremony that seemed particularly strange. The network cut out a part from International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach’s speech that talked against discrimination. Deadspin caught the fact that NBC left out a key part of Bach’s statements from the broadcast, a surprising edit considering how much

The latest round of the IRS scandal, in which Tea Party and conservative groups have been selectively targeted for harassment by our tax collection agency, is now unfolding. This comes in the form of proposed new rules from the IRS regarding the operation of organizations falling under the 501(c)(4) provision of the tax code. These are organizations whose purpose is to promote “social welfare” and therefore their income is tax-free. Because promoting a cause or agenda in our free and democratic country cannot be isolated from political activity associated with that agenda, such activity is permitted by 501(c)(4) organizations, as

Dozens of American sailors who assisted Japan during the 2011 nuclear disaster are suing the operators of Fukushima power plant for more than £612 million (US$1bn) in damages, claiming that they have become sick from radiation exposure. The sailors were on board the USS Ronald Reagan super-carrier when it was diverted to northeast Japan following the devastation of the March 11, 2011 earthquake which triggered a tsunami and subsequent nuclear disaster. As they helped rescue victims and evacuate disaster zones, the claimants allege that they drank, bathed and waded through water contaminated with radiation from the damaged nuclear power plant

On leaving the office of one of the city’s GOP donors, Paul bumped into a familiar face: Ted Cruz, his fellow Senator from Texas and another ambitious Republican who is courting

This is either a glaring admission of defeat from the White House or… no, that’s really all it could be. After weeks of defending the cancellation of health plans insurers discontinued in 2013 in order to comply with the Affordable Care Act’s coverage mandates, the White House announced in November of last year that it was urging insurers to reinstate those plans. The catch was, of course, that most insurers would be unable to turn on a dime and reinstate those plans. Furthermore, the administration allowed individual states leeway to determine whether or not they would even allow insurers to reinstate
