´It´s just desserts!´
Matt Lauer ´set to get the axe´
from Today after ratings free-fall
and clashing with co-anchors

Daily Mail (UK), by Helen Pow

Original Article

After repeatedly clashing with co-anchors and overseeing plummeting ratings, the Today show´s Matt Lauer is reportedly being given the boot. The long-time host, who earns a staggering $21.5 million a year, is being blamed for the NBC morning show´s dismal performance over the past three months and sources claim ratings will only improve if he is replaced. According to The National Enquirer, weatherman Al Roker is plotting to push the 54-year-old TV veteran out of his anchor chair and is lobbying a newly appointed Today producer for help.

Comments:
If true, there´s another blessing to count.

I do not really care as I do not watch and have not for some time, but al roker is not the answer, he was one reason I got tired of the whole thing. Besides, we have this site which is more interesting and has smarter people. Happy turkey day and thank the good Lord for Lucianne and her crew!!

He makes 21.5 million a year and yet he is an adversary of the so-called rich. He creates no jobs and produces a bad product. The world is upside down.

Good luck on the rubber chicken speaking tours, li´l fella. Hope you wisely invested most of your ill-gotten gains.

Personally I couldn´t care less who they replace him with as I don´t anything on NBC...period...so long as they continue with their liberal, prattling, pandering propaganda. If you want to know their real agenda just watch that sham (or shame) of a "news" network called MSNBC that hasn´t a clue how to spell the word "truth"!

What OP said. A little schadenfreude to cheer up the post-election gloom. Lauer has been a snotty little brat since the first day he walked on to that set. Meredith Vieira carried the show for years until she decided he just weighed too much and was too unpleasant to lug around any more.

We never were serious watchers - we like Fox in the morning - but cannot imagine why anyone ever thought he was an appealing person. Most never cared "where in the world" he was.

NBC´s turning into its Soviet Motherland circa 1924-1936 when thousands of Old Communists were hammered-and-sickled by the Cheka (later the NKVD/ MVD) on orders from Lenin and Stalin, for being insufficiently zealous or something. FoxNews should hire only movement Libs with teeth, so the political battle can be joined. I was happy to see John Postesta on a few months ago... If you’re unlucky enough to suffer a disaster-related casualty, here’s what you need to know about the federal income tax implications. Theoretically, our beloved Internal Revenue Code allows you to claim an itemized deduction — on Schedule A of your Form 1040 — for personal casualty losses to the extent they are not covered by insurance.
