´It´s just desserts!´
Matt Lauer ´set to get the axe´
from Today after ratings free-fall
and clashing with co-anchors

Daily Mail (UK), by Helen Pow

After repeatedly clashing with co-anchors and overseeing plummeting ratings, the Today show´s Matt Lauer is reportedly being given the boot. The long-time host, who earns a staggering $21.5 million a year, is being blamed for the NBC morning show´s dismal performance over the past three months and sources claim ratings will only improve if he is replaced. According to The National Enquirer, weatherman Al Roker is plotting to push the 54-year-old TV veteran out of his anchor chair and is lobbying a newly appointed Today producer for help.

If true, there´s another blessing to count.

I do not really care as I do not watch and have not for some time, but al roker is not the answer, he was one reason I got tired of the whole thing. Besides, we have this site which is more interesting and has smarter people. Happy turkey day and thank the good Lord for Lucianne and her crew!!

He makes 21.5 million a year and yet he is an adversary of the so-called rich. He creates no jobs and produces a bad product. The world is upside down.

Personally I couldn´t care less who they replace him with as I don´t anything on NBC...period...so long as they continue with their liberal, prattling, pandering propaganda. If you want to know their real agenda just watch that sham (or shame) of a "news" network called MSNBC that hasn´t a clue how to spell the word "truth"!

What OP said. A little schadenfreude to cheer up the post-election gloom. Lauer has been a snotty little brat since the first day he walked on to that set. Meredith Vieira carried the show for years until she decided he just weighed too much and was too unpleasant to lug around any more.

We never were serious watchers - we like Fox in the morning - but cannot imagine why anyone ever thought he was an appealing person. Most never cared "where in the world" he was.

They´re really starting to eat their own, aren´t they? NBC´s turning into its Soviet Motherland circa 1924-1936 when thousands of Old Communists were hammered-and-sickled by the Cheka (later the NKVD/ MVD) on orders from Lenin and Stalin, for being insufficiently zealous or something. Lauer seems to be currently fitted up for the Trotsky role.

FoxNews should hire only movement Libs with teeth, so the political battle can be joined. I was happy to see John Postesta on a few months ago... We need to see, confront and expose more dead serious Libs like him. Arguing with joke Libs like Colmes only weakens us on the Right and wastes our time.

It was a flight bound for Florida, and some airline pilots believe it also may have been a dry-run for terrorists. The 10 News Investigators have obtained an internal memo that details a frightening incident that brings back memories of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. Since then, federal efforts have gone in place to prevent a similar attack, leading many to believe another attack what happened on 9/11 could never happen again. Earlier this week on Boston’s WRKO-AM’s The Howie Carr Show, conservative commentator Ann Coulter shocked some conservatives when she said she is making 2012 Republican nominee Mitt Romney her favorite for the 2016 Republican contest. Last month in an interview on CBS’s Face the Nation, Romney himself ruled out the possibility of a 2016 run and said he was instead focused on who to get behind in that contest. Coulter, however, wishes otherwise. “Well, don´t tell him but I´m planning on giving Mitt Romney a little more time to rest -- flying out, kidnapping him and depriving him of sleep, food and

A triumphant President Barack Obama declared Tuesday his signature medical insurance overhaul a success, saying it has made America´s health care system ´a lot better´ in a Rose Garden press conference. But buried in the 7.1 million enrollments he announced in a heavily staged appearance is a more unsettling reality. Numbers from a RAND Corporation study that has been kept under wraps suggest that barely 858,000 previously uninsured Americans – nowhere near 7.1 million – have paid for new policies and joined the ranks of the insured by Monday night.

A 54-year-old white man has been left barely clinging to life after he was brutally beaten by a group of black men when he got out of his car to check on a young black boy he accidentally hit. Steve Utash, from suburban Roseville, was beaten into a coma Wednesday by an angry mob in a poverty-stricken Detroit neighborhood after David Harris, 10, ran in front of his truck on a busy street, but police insist the incident was not racially motivated. The gang also stole his wallet before leaving him for dead. Utash is in extremely critical

A senior CIA official has died in an apparent suicide this week from injuries sustained after jumping off a building in northern Virginia, according to sources close to the CIA. CIA spokesman Christopher White confirmed the death and said the incident did not take place at CIA headquarters in McLean, Va. “We can confirm that there was an individual fatally injured at a facility where agency work is done,” White told the Washington Free Beacon. “He was rushed to a local area hospital where he subsequently died. Due to privacy reasons and out of respect for the family, we are not releasing

President Barack Obama contended that the government did not “make a hard sell” for Obamacare, despite his administration spending nearly $700 million to promote the law. “We didn’t make a hard sell,” Obama said in the Rose Garden on Tuesday, praising the 7.1 million sign ups for the Affordable Care Act. “We didn’t have billions of dollars of commercials like some critics did.” However, last July the Associated Press reported that Obamacare’s marketing campaign would cost at least $684 million. Taxpayer funding went to all 50 states in efforts to encourage people to enroll, including nearly $28 million for the

Attorney General Eric Holder disputed a Government Accountability Office report on his use of Justice Department airplanes for personal trips, saying it overstated the number of trips he took and failed to recognize that some trips were job-related. "My staff keeps telling me to take it easy, you know, well, this is one that gets me," Holder told Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing. "There was this notion that we´ve taken -- I think it was described as hundreds of personal trips. That was wrong. GAO counted flights, not round trips. And we looked at it
