| Over at the Huffington Post, media reporter Michael Calderone reports that MSNBC President Phil Griffin seeks to combat the network’s growing reputation as not just being “progressive,” but being openly “pro-Obama.” Many believe the network’s “pro-Obama” reputation has, thus far, been warranted: A recent Pew study found that during the final week of the 2012 election campaign, MSNBC ran zero negative stories about President Obama; and not a single positive story about Republican challenger Mitt Romney. Comedians have also taken to mocking the network for what seems to be an

MSNBC is socialists ALL of the time, rarely a conservative voice. FoxNews has its liberals and socialists on every panel and even its business shows on the weekend. There is no comparison. FoxNews is fair and balanced.

MSNBC has been in the tank for the liberal left and slavish in its´ devotion to Barack Obama for so long that no sane person would call them anything but unfair and unbalanced. They will go broke long before they are viewed as anthing but the propaganda arm of the democrat party.

(I´ll check back in about 50yrs to see if they are living up to what´s "Fair"...and "encourage" them by Bashing them for the lack of enthusiasm in their reparations)

Unless there is a total housecleaning at NBC News and their subsidary channels such as MSNBC News, I expect the result will not be battling a "Pro-Obama Reputation" but a continued creep of that pro-Obama reputation deeper into the NBC News operations and over to CNBC.
MSNBC is a disease that kills from within.

This makes no sense: Why "battle" their pro-Obama reputation if they are right about Obama being such a great POTUS?
Second, why did they wait until the second term to suddenly get religion and admit they´ve been biased all during the first term?
Aside from MSNBC being irrelevant at best, do they think they can gain some credibility with rabid, ear-splitting, spittle-spewing, shrieking TV personalities?
Finally, who cares other than the people who own this ratings-disaster program?

Whatever is done at MSNBC, please keep the two biggest losers, Chris Matthews and Lawrence O´Donnell. What whiners and truly miserable human beings. They will do more for the other side in the long run if they continue to spout their rhetoric claiming Republicans are racists because they dared to disagree with Obama. Chris Matthews still thinks he will be the next Tip O´Neill.
Also keep Rachel Madow. She is good for pure entertainment so we can be encouraged when we see a smart, well educated, lesbian demonstrate just how miserable she is. She surely has value as a human being. Perhaps along the way we will get to see her drop her snarky, condescending ways and enter the world as an actual person.

Stop the presses! This has to be THE news item of the year!
Has anyone told MSNBC how irrelevant they really are, how they´re ALWAYS at the rock bottom of the ratings lists, that almost NOBODY watches the ranting and raving of Chris Matthews, that MSNBC almost NEVER has any opposing views on their shows, that their idea of a balanced round table is Joe Scarborough (whose ties to Republicans and conservatives were effectively severed ages ago)? Does MSNBC still not understand that less than one percent of all Americans have ever heard of Rachel Maddow or Lawrence O´Donnell(my figures I admit), or that their network is the single most biased, most disrespected channel of any network anywhere today? It wouldn´t matter if MSNBC nails pro-Obama banners across its front doors and each commentator wears "HELP ELECT OBAMA FOR A THIRD TERM" on their bright red sweatshirts The fact is, MSNBC just DOESN´T MATTER! They could go off the air permanently tomorrow and only a handful of their fellow socialists would even notice. Or care!

A fish rots from the head down. NBC is just as awful as MSNBC. Brian Williams is just vile. Foster Friess , Sheldon Adelson, Rove´s multimillion PAC and the rest should forget the ads and instead try and buy a controlling interest in one of the networks. It´s the only way to reach the low information voter. FOX News should also have a directly competing half hour news show in the same low information format as NBC, CBS and ABC. My personal goal for the next four years is to not only avoid seeing or hearing Obama , but , to avoid anything shown on NBC , CNBC , MSNBC or the slyly political Weather Channel. Unfortunately, GE also owns the Military and the History Channel , so, I am not going cold turkey there, but, I will cut back.

Advice is as follows: You need to get out of the Obamatank and dry off. Get Chris Matthews some meds for his lunatic behavior and for his tingle in his crotch. Hours after the Lockerbie atrocity, Mrs Thatcher was wading through the carnage wrought by terrorists over a small Scottish town, paying her condolences to the bereaved. It had been a long and harrowing day, but when she arrived back in London late that night she still found time to phone me at home. Her voice was anxious, kind. She asked: ‘How is Ray, dear?’ The day before, my husband had suffered a serious accident and Mrs Thatcher had been characteristically solicitous, offering her car to run me home.

Arizona Gov. Janice Brewer has signed a law providing strong new restrictions on the use of so-called "seclusion rooms" in schools – closet-sized rooms where children with behavioral disabilities such as autism were being locked up as punishment. "It is chilling to imagine an Arizona school child being shut away in a padded room, no larger than a closet, for hours on end," Brewer said after signing the law Friday. "There has to be a better way." With the new law, Arizona will join more than 30 other states that impose rules on the restraint of students in public schools.

There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

Writing in the blog The Review, J.P. Freire performs a devastating examination of how the Associated Press eulogized former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher on Monday versus how the news service examined the legacy of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez upon his death. What Freire found was an evident sense of admiration for Chavez’s accomplishments as the Latin American state’s autocratic leader, but a distinct lack of respect for Thatcher’s achievements in office. “Love her or loathe her, one thing’s beyond dispute: Margaret Thatcher transformed Britain,” AP opened the former U.K. prime minister’s obituary on Monday.

Is ObamaCare the reform to end all other reforms? The massive health care law´s problems are well known. Major tax hikes and Medicare cuts will fund a massive new government program, rather than shore up the nation´s finances. ObamaCare already is encouraging companies to cut jobs and work hours. With the administration delaying the insurance exchanges that might help small businesses until 2015, even ObamaCare cheerleaders are growing worried. And the law will leave tens of millions of Americans without health coverage. That´s the best-case scenario,

"I don´t understand it," the Arizona Republican said on Sunday of the threat coming from Sen. Rand Paul,Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Mike Lee and nine other Republicans. "The purpose of the United States Senate is to debate and to vote and to let the people know where we stand.” "What are we afraid of? ... If this issue is as important as we all think it is, why not take ... it up and debate?"

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

North Korea’s young leader Kim Jong-un is waiting for United States President Barack Obama to make a phone call to Pyongyang to discuss easing tensions on the Korean peninsula, according to Russia’s news agency Itar-Tass. The report cited United Kingdom diplomats, saying Pyongyang was demanding the U.S. president personally call Kim Jong-un as one of the conditions to relieve the current conflict at hand. Itar-Tass also quoted the U.K.’s Sky News as saying North Korea currently has eight nuclear warheads.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. (Snip) Last month, the Nielsen Co. started labeling people in this group "Zero TV" households, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. There are 5 million of these residences in the U.S., up from

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

More than 700 Special Operations veterans are urging members of Congress to back a select committee to investigate last year’s Benghazi terrorist attack, according to a letter first obtained by Fox News. The letter from the group, “Special Operations Speaks,” supports the appointment of a special committee tasked with the single mission of investigating the attack that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead, and shut down the CIA operation in an annex of the Benghazi consulate, in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack. “Congress must show some leadership and provide answers to the public

Chelsea Clinton has raised her profile in the last few days, which sparked the inevitable question about the former first daughter´s future: Will she ever be like Mom and Dad and run for office? Clinton, 33, essentially said "maybe" in an interview that aired Monday on NBC´s Today show. "Right now I´m grateful to live in a city, a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, my governor, my president and my senators and my representative," said Clinton, whose father, Bill, was president from 1993-2001 and her mother, Hillary

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —
